Hotel Victor - a Thompson Hotel    

The location of the hotel is wonderful it is right on the beach and they do have a great pool that overlooks the street

This was the second time I stayed at this hotel the difference from the first was vast. The room layout was fine no problem there however it could use a good cleaning - grit on every corner and as though it has been wiped down but not deep cleaned in a long time. The staff apart from the doorman were not helpful at all and the front desk does not even carry change of a $20 to tip anyone - it was a place to stay but not a place to enjoy

Room was enjoyable and front desk and bell staff were hospitable.

Service in restaurant was suspect and not very good on any level. Wrong orders brought to the table. Service dragged on all levels. The 2nd floor bar and patio seemed like an after thought. Lacked any sort of appeal during the day.

They upgraded my room, which was very large, and the housekeeping staff was very attentive.

The room smelled very strange and was a bit run-down with stains. A few light switches had fallen off and the faucet was loose. I stay often at the Beverly Hills Thompson so I was surprised and thought maybe the smell was just cleaning products. My colleague was staying in a room on my floor and I realized it was just my room. Also valet parking was pretty disorganized for $35 per day. Everything seemed like an extra tack- ons like beach chairs.

- The hotel is a typical example of design over function - It looks nice, but it has: bathrooms without doors, taps that don't work, balcony doors that don't lock, no balcony furniture, no towel hooks, the list goes on... - Very varying level of attentiveness from the staff. Really poor service at the pool - Extremely slow internet that they actually charge 15USD a day for

Biggest problem was the resort fee which I was not told time of online booking upfront !!! Rooms were very small and uncomfortable ,Showers was terricle with water pressure and very smal

Very trendy, very clean, good staff and most of all location.

Check in is a bit late (4 o'clock) and the drinks on the bar are over priced even for south beach.

A little bit expensive for the value I cant' understand why wifi is not free!!

I loved the room and the decor of the entire hotel.. So relaxing and beautiful.. Had a great view! The room we had was super romantic.. We both enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!

I didn't like that the public restrooms were dirty.. the parking situation was awful and no one notified me of the huge event that was going on infront of the hotel.. It was chaotic to check in and find parking..

The atmosphere, the location, the pool, the service at the pool, the beach services, maid service, room. It was a GREAT! trip and I would recommend the Victor Hotel as well as return myself.

The valet service was consistantly slow.

I liked the design, the location (in front of the beach) and the swimming pool. Also the food is great to have a room service!

They offer some bar stuff, but very expensive! TV was too small for the room. There was no place to hang the towells close to the lavatory (toilet) or shower.

Great location, comfortable room, and generally friendly staff. Good for relaxation, dining and exercise.

No jug for water heating for baby food and coffee/tea in the room. A toilet that had a flush loud enough to wake the dead.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel was clean and "as advertised". Gym was well equipped for a hotel gym. Pool area was nice, and water in pool was warm.

Some days took all day to get room cleaned. Then found out they change every piece of linen every day! No wonder it takes so long, and that is also wasteful of water, soap etc. Consider a water reduction program. Towel rack almost falling off wall was tightened up, but kept coming loose. Fix properly.

We paid for a balcony/sea view that was not worth the money. Poor view and useless balcony.

Fantastic location and very nice design. Hotel well maintained. Great staff that was helpful at any time. The price/value was fair. Most rooms have view towards beach/ocean (although there is a park in between)

The restaurant service was very good, but quality of food on the edge - it wasn't bad at all, just average - maybe due to the competition and mostly serving short term tourists

They reserved and took payments for 2 rooms even though I only reserved one. A lot of confusion to reverse it. Flat tire on hotel bike 45 blocks from hotel. No help. Very slow breakfast service had to get up 3x to find server. Won't ever stay again. Beacon Hotel down the street is way better and slightly less $.
