Score from 196 reviews Wonderful
better breakfast than most places I stayed
out of room too early
The rooms were very clean and having the little refrigerator was a bonus. The staff was very accomodating to our needs. The continental breakfast had a nice selection of cereals, toast, bagels, and pastries. We were very happy with our choice of motel.
A box of tissues in the room would have been nice, as well as a shelf in the bathroom for toiletries. The coffee...not so good.
Price was very affordable, location was good.
Very basic accommadations.
Very friendly, accommodating staff.
The breakfast needs more cereal options (both choices were mildly sugary), and whole-grain breads.
Location Value Breakfast
A bit tired / needs updating
We enjoyed it so much that we stayed two weekends in a row! The location is great and the property is wonderful!
Right on the bike path
Clean room, good breakfast and very quiet nights
maybe there should be an pc foor the quest
Clean, reasonable and great service . Young friendly couple doing a great job. We would return for sure and refer to others.
The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast area was clean and food was good.great value for the money I would definitely come back again. The location is great many beautiful beaches in the area.
Television could be updated.
Friendly staff; Location of the hotel was good - convenient to Rt. 6; location was quiet even though on a main road; the bathroom sink was separate from the bathing/toilet area - this made it easier for two people to get ready to go out; flat screen TV in the room was better than many other Cape Cod hotels
Hair (not mine) on a pillowcase, hair (again not mine) on a bath towel, no bath products provided except for a bar of soap. The worst thing was the exceptionally hard mattress and the even harder pillows. Awful! I ended up trying to get some sleep by balling up a sweatshirt under my head.
Nice staff, decent breakfast.
Pillows are just horrible.
The rooms were very clean. The continental breakfast was nice to have included in price of room.
GREAT location for biking and accessing the rail trail. Nice staff and owners. Very well maintained, basic amenities for affordable price.
The gas meter, elec meter outside our room could be heard through closet. With fan on it disappeared. Just be aware of that in the one room.
They didn't get our booking reservation so we almost didn't get a room. The room we did get had issues.
Appreciated the free continental breakfast. There were plenty of options which was great. Having the breakfast included in the nightly rent was a factor in my choosing the VIKING SHORES MOTOR INN over many others. Thanks.
With the drapes closed in the room during the night, it was way to dark to see if one had to get up. Suggestion: have a small night light available in the room for those who wish to utilize it.
Convenient location for Provincetown and Outer Cape. Friendly, personable staff. Good value for the money!
Breakfast room was a bit small for the number of guests staying at the motel
This was my first stay at the Viking, and I found it clean (thanks Ziggy!), comfortable, and friendly. My daughter and her 2.5 y/o twin boys joined me for several days. They loved the swings and slides. TV had their favorite programs to watch just before bedtime. Perfect for (supervised) children! Cape Cod bike trail runs just behind the property with access path. Marconi Beach is within driving/biking distance, and OH! those seals were a joy to watch swimming along the shoreline and with the surfers.
I noticed one of the gates to the pool was open on a couple of occasions.
The BBQ. Proximity to bike paths/rail-trail,
Have been staying at the Viking Shores on and off for years. Love the location and the pool. The main difference this year that will definitely keep us coming back is the current owner. He was extremely understanding and accomodating when we ran into problems re-arranging the time frame for our stay. He didn't have to be so we will definitely stay there again. Can't put a price tag on customer service.
We stayed one night before our rental week in Wellfleet. The grounds are lovely and the complimentary breakfast was more than adequate. The bike trail is just steps from the property as was a short drive to the beaches.
need more pillows
Location, cleanliness, staff, price. The office house is newer, and has a lovely self- serve breakfast seating area. The grounds are beautiful, and are set back from the road.
The rooms probably haven't been renovated in 20 years. The air conditioner in our room didn't work, and the window's lock was broken. The bathroom fan was very loud. The room smelled like a locker room. The mattresses were extremely old. No microwave.
Uncomfortable, old bed. Paper thin walls. Shampoo and coffee in office, not in room. No tissues in room. No tv guide for the 19 in tube tv. Sticky door. High step to room.
I was able to take my morning walks on the rail trail. We were able to park at your sister motel and take the bus to Provincetown. That was very convenient. I didn't know that when I booked but you girl at the desk was very helpful.
