The bed and the pillow need improvement
The admin charges for internet - when it is advertised as free. This is extremely misleading. I was going to be charged an extra 23.00 per night over the room rate. Poor customer relations. After complaining it was deducted. The 'major' renovations are very average. Coffee needs to improve at Cafe - very poor
The location is fantastic
Perhaps my room location but both nights there was a great deal of drunken shouting outside, perhaps some of the homeless folk were in heavy arguments. Disturbed sleep.
Nice touch to be welcomed back with a card and biscotti. Champagne/drink a bar?
It was really really small. The bathroom is tiny. I could barley turn around in it. And the air conditioning does not work well. It was hot and uncomfortable.
I loved the furniture the colors and the location.
It was a rare hot weekend and the A/c was struggling. You don't think you need air in San Francisco so it was ok!
Big clean quiet room. Staff is always amazing! Brooklyn, Joel and Albert know how to take care of you! Always helpful!
very poor windows isolation, lots of noise from the street and cable car
no breakfast included
very comfortable bed, good location but not noisy
would allow my to use a digital picture on my phone. I only had a digital picture due to the fact I was robbed in San Francisco walking home from Bart. My partner had to radiation treatment for his leukemia, seeing he was in a lot of pain, we decided to check into a hotel and the Villa Florence I've been a pleasant experience for us in the past and was rudely and disrespectfully turned away even after explaining the situation, And that I had been a patron of this establishment for over a year. Would not recommend this hotel ever again although the rooms have been upgraded the stuff hasn't been as yet. So before you book the room. Check to see if the staff has maybe went to the hospitality training course or any type of customer relations training program. And seen between work and my partners treatment we stay in hotels 90% of the time, and Villa Florence will never be one of those again
that I've stayed there 8times in the past
From the moment we arrived, everyone was friendly and welcoming. The hotel and restaurant were awesome, as was the free biscotti and limoncello happy hour. Could hear the cable cars from our city view room but it was part of the ambiance. Staff helpful in giving tips for our sightseeing and brought extra blankets when requested since it was cold. WiFi was free but I had trouble connecting at times. I would definitely stay again!!!
The pillow is so inferior that the one i get in dollar store is even better then that....very uncomfortable... room is so small and the bathroom is hard to turn around... window has to be closed all the time... not recommended.
The room was "newly renovated", but the doors of the minibar cabinet (under the TV) could not fully open, because they hit the bed - the room was that small. Bottles of water set on the desk - presumed to be complimentary - were charged at an exorbitant rate as part of the minibar. The television channels - printed on a card - were different than those listed on the DirecTV channel guide (which turned out to be wrong). Cable cars ran at all hours, with some drivers ringing the bells to excess (right outside the window), which was disturbing.
The room was newly renovated and clean. I loved the street view!
Dirty shower, lots of soap scum on tiles and dark hair on floor in the bathroom.
- noisy room, unacceptable for this price of the hotel - no view
- location - friendly personel
I've found the hotel I will be staying at when in Sf!! BEST customer service I've experienced! If it happens to be your Birthday, mention it!
Very limited toiletries
Near to shopping areas and BART
They overbooked hotel and asked us to leave when we went to check in. Said they found another room at another hotel and said we had to walk there. The place they found us a room was a flea bag hotel : disgusting and not clean. They said we could return, when people checked out during the weekend, we did not. I have been traveling for over 20 years and that has never happened to me, I was never treated so unprofessional. I would not recommend to everyone.
Nothing, Poor customer service and very unprofessional.
parking is a pain and is expensive (but it's SF downtown so it was expected)
good location for a tourist in SF downtown...ultra close to the cablecar...very helpful concierge
Parking costs are approaching those of people.
Could hear every word being said by the people in the room next door.
Location is extremely close to Union Square
Couldnt connect wi fi
Everything was great
Rooms are tired
Can be a little noisy if you stay on the Powell Street side of the hotel as there is no double glazing.
Fabulous location for accessing airport BART train, shopping and cable cars.Great restaurant in house as well as good eateries nearby. Good value for money. Lovely boutique style of. hotel- homely yet efficient
Secure feeling. Excellent location.
