I like a room that looks out on the street. You were in the midst of construction which I had to pass by...but it wasnt too bad
the room was well appointed but small
April 24, 2015
Much noice / smells from the streets. They should invest in better windows.
Location, location, location

Getting car back from valet took 45 minutes. They also need to install a "Loading Only Parking" sign in front of hotel (so idiots driving down Powell don't park there and leave their car in front for 45 minutes)
The remodeled Jr Suite was spacious and very comfortable. Luggage delivered promptly upon room availability

Housekeepers not well trained. Horrible Wifi connection in the 7th floor room.
Clean room. Large LED TV. Very good location.
April 20, 2015
Poor in-room wifi signal.
Location, just right next to union square.
April 19, 2015

Great location. Friendly staff. Clean room.

They charge an 'admin fee' of $26/night. When challenged they say it is for WiFi. Then why claim that WiFi is free. Also, once challenged they immediately removed the fee. This makes one even more suspect at how many chances that take just to make a quick buck off the guest. This is bad.
Location is good and some of the staff were very helpful.

We set wake up call for 2 days, but hotel staff never call.
April 8, 2015
Very comfortable room and staff was very friendly and helpful!

Our room was cramped and dark. Didn't complain as afterall we just slept there and it was quiet!
Location, great food, good value Highest calibre of staff. The Lobby is comforting but classy with Norcini's providing a great street presence from Breakfast to Happy Hour. High quality food for good value. Location location Loved the separate reading lights for reading in bed. Lots of plug in's for your technology. Great TV.

Some rooms on my floor were under construction with doors left open and a large pile of rolled up old carpet scraps left in the middle of the hallway requiring us to walk on top of it to pass. When I talked to the desk clerk, she didn't apologize but was rather defensive and said "yes, we're under construction what do you want me to do about it"? She got the manager, who neither apologized but said she'd call the engineer to remove it. The old carpet and trash were gone when we returned. However, I was very surprised by a staff untrained in high quality customer service, which costs nothing to do and is so easy to provide in a situation like this one.
Location, location, location. Furnishings were nice.

The bed and the pillow need improvement
March 24, 2015
The admin charges for internet - when it is advertised as free. This is extremely misleading. I was going to be charged an extra 23.00 per night over the room rate. Poor customer relations. After complaining it was deducted. The 'major' renovations are very average. Coffee needs to improve at Cafe - very poor
The location is fantastic

Perhaps my room location but both nights there was a great deal of drunken shouting outside, perhaps some of the homeless folk were in heavy arguments. Disturbed sleep.
Nice touch to be welcomed back with a card and biscotti. Champagne/drink a bar?
March 21, 2015
It was really really small. The bathroom is tiny. I could barley turn around in it. And the air conditioning does not work well. It was hot and uncomfortable.
I loved the furniture the colors and the location.
March 20, 2015
It was a rare hot weekend and the A/c was struggling. You don't think you need air in San Francisco so it was ok!
Big clean quiet room. Staff is always amazing! Brooklyn, Joel and Albert know how to take care of you! Always helpful!
March 17, 2015
very poor windows isolation, lots of noise from the street and cable car
March 11, 2015
no breakfast included
very comfortable bed, good location but not noisy

would allow my to use a digital picture on my phone. I only had a digital picture due to the fact I was robbed in San Francisco walking home from Bart. My partner had to radiation treatment for his leukemia, seeing he was in a lot of pain, we decided to check into a hotel and the Villa Florence I've been a pleasant experience for us in the past and was rudely and disrespectfully turned away even after explaining the situation, And that I had been a patron of this establishment for over a year. Would not recommend this hotel ever again although the rooms have been upgraded the stuff hasn't been as yet. So before you book the room. Check to see if the staff has maybe went to the hospitality training course or any type of customer relations training program. And seen between work and my partners treatment we stay in hotels 90% of the time, and Villa Florence will never be one of those again
that I've stayed there 8times in the past

From the moment we arrived, everyone was friendly and welcoming. The hotel and restaurant were awesome, as was the free biscotti and limoncello happy hour. Could hear the cable cars from our city view room but it was part of the ambiance. Staff helpful in giving tips for our sightseeing and brought extra blankets when requested since it was cold. WiFi was free but I had trouble connecting at times. I would definitely stay again!!!
