Personnel very helpful Products in the bathroom high quality Quiet despite the central location Location!
Clean towels not always clean A little dirty feeling on the carpet
Was quoted $918 for two rooms. Two bed in each room. My bill was over 1,500. Neither room was what we asked for. One was a tiny room with one double bed that barely fit in the room. The other was one bed. When I asked them to change them both, the clerk actually argued with me. They gave two of us what we asked for. They gave the other two a junior sweet. So one of us has to sleep on the couch. And they charged me $40 per night for the "upgrade." Outrageous.
I loved how luxurious the hotel looked and how cozy it was at the same time. The staff were so helpful and friendly.
The location is the only enjoyable thing in my trip
The staff attitude, the room size, the facility, the services, and the decoration.
Daniel at the front desk is a super employee
Good service. We were upgraded to a double bed Room on arrival, which I appreciate because we were there at a time when the hotel prices were astronomical and we were paying $360 a night with the web discount. The lobby was also nicely done and I appreciate the Lavazza coffee products and the CO Bigelow bath products. The bed was also pretty comfortable.
We were unfortunately upgraded to a room that had an awful smell to it, like the carpeted had been and they were not able to get the smell out. Also the housekeeping had not done such a great job of cleaning around the toilet and there was a smell of old urine in the bathroom. That said, when I did complain to management, they were apologetic and they did at least discount our stay a bit.
very close to center wifi
as if hotel hasnt windows ..you can hear all noise from streets.. garbage van comes 2-3 times in one night..
Location is excellent, even if really noisy at night. Reception staff very helpful. Breakfast a la carte is very good but expensive.
We paid for a room with breakfast included, when we got there, we found out that actually it was not. in the end they gave us some vouchers for a "continental" breakfast: tea/coffee and a croissant! A real joke! And the bar of the hotel is closed at 10 pm! That's another joke! Really not worth the money we paid.
All employees - especially the concierge and men at front of hotel were wonderful and helpful. The front desk people were cold and downright rude. Didn't acknowledge people - or look up. This has happened before at same hotel - some things never change!
Next to all important sight seeing points.
Room was rather old-fashioned. Treadmill in the fitnessroom makes a lot of noise.
Very close to union square Close to BART
Very slow WIFI Homeless people everywhere, i don't mind them, but they just make me sad Elevator is too small, gives you claustrophobia
The hotel was very central, close to Union Square, the main shopping area, Chinatown and the cable car passing the front door.
The bedroom furniture could be described as "dated"
Rooms are very dated and noisy (air conditioner noise from all the other rooms). One male member of staff on the front desk was particularly rude. I had to change rooms because of a plumbing issue with my initial room, only to find the cold water tap in the 2nd room was not actually attached to the basin. I would have raised the issue with the front desk, but they clearly didn't care about my experience so there hardly seemed any point. I travel almost every week across Europe, Middle East and Africa - I was expecting service in SFO and got surly!
Hotel is in the middle of the city which is good for walking but not good for sleeping. Restaurant is very good.
The noise from the street cars is invasive. Starts early, finishes late.
Great location excellent cafe next door called Bellini's for breakfast lunch and dinner.
hotel charged us exorbaniant fees we paid an extra $200 on the quoted price from booking.com. We had to paid administration fees onto of taxes and were taxed on the administration fees. When queried were told to take it up with booking.com. First hotel to do this in our 13 week trip.
Free Wifi, perfect location, friendly staff
Smaller room than most hotels I've stayed at
Bathroom wasent too clean found toothpaste splatter that wasent cleaned by housekeeper, coffee makers didn't work after 2 replacements but hotel was great ! I would go back
Location was good
Wifi $10 in room. difficult to get service of drinks/food to the pool
The front of hotel looked lovely so was reception area staff very friendly. Restaurant food was fantastic Great location for shopping
Rooms were very old fashioned booked a junior suite and was very disappointed expected a much larger room.
comfortable bed Friendly staff
tired room Housekeeping did a surface cleaning only
The one thing we did enjoy about our room #426 was the quiet location.
We missed what we sacrificed for the quiet location and that is a view of this beautifull city.
location is excellent convenient for shopping or stopping off mid day wifi was fast and reliable. Front desk staff were efficient
-Parking was $50 + tax - Hotel added daily charge of 20$ plus taxes. Stay averaged 500$/day all for mid sept period. -Noisy even facing away from Powell. Constant noise from a/cs was louder when reflecting off wall which was about 15 feet away. - breakfast not included in rate
the rooms, small, cramped and doors that don't close (on toliets etc)
