The accommodations are spartan -- pull chain in a tiny bathroom with a moldy shower curtain -- horrible polyester towels. Absolutely no frills -- nothing "executive" about this place!

Location, size of room, free internet access, flat screen tv and loads of channels to choose from. The bathroom was tiny and covered with mould. There was no bathroom fan. The shower curtain was filthy!

only the location ...and the doorman Angel, tried to be very helpful. the room was quiet and I saw no bugs The room itself was clean but the Bathroom was falling apart and so tiny I could have brushed my teeth while on the toilet.....kitchen stove did not work, couldn't boil water. and the bed was so soft, had 2 people been sleeping on it they both would have ended up in the middle of it.

Location, location, location. I can only warn everybody about this place. I paid on booking.com by amex, though this hotel only accepts mc/visa (which was not brought to my attention at all). Consequently, the owner locked us out of our hotel room on the second night we came home. With a 7-months pregnant wife this is the last thing you need. And on top of this, it was very rude and only by chance and with a nice concierge, we managed to get into our room again. I had no intention to dodge the bill and I think there are other ways to do this. So if you book here, be ready for some nasty surprises. Other than that, the place is a rip-off anyhow which blatantly exploits its location and generally high cost for hotels in nyc.

After the first room I was assigned was a complete disappointment - completely run down, dark and mouldy bathroom, dirty furniture and non-functioning TV I wanted to cancel my reservation for the rest of my stay. I was offered a much better alternative, which made up for the original disappointment. Also I wanted to again utter my appreciation for the work of the doorman on duty - he was the only one to resond to my requests in a flawless manner. The first room was of an inacceptable quality - even for NY standards. I guess it would be ok to rent out the room, but it would have to be better described.Quality of accomodation differs a lot at this facility. The second room was fine and pleasant, much unlike the first room. The staff was not very forthcoming. Request were handled in an inacceptable manner. When I called the service hotline, I had to wait for half an hour until my request was settled. The cancellation policies at this facility are not customer-friendly.

Village Apartments has No service, No TV, No Internet, no kitchen appliances , Apartment was dirty when we came, and No one did clean it while I was staying. I called them and request to fix everything however, they just ignore it. Please don't make people feel terrible when they book apartments from your website. Please check what you offer.

The location. Tiny studio apartment in deplorable condition. Bathroom too small and disgusting to be functional. We had changed our reservation to 8 nights prior to arriving but barely made it through 1 night and left.

The location was perfect, very convenient, close to the subway station, in one of the best neighborhood of New York. It was very dirty, not comfortable at all. The bathroom was full of mold, the windows of the main room was facing a wall 1m close, there was no natural light at all in the bedroom.

Location No staff on premise, other than doormen-(changing every shift with no continuity) who couldn't(or didn't) respond to basic issues we had. -Tv didn't work - no extra toilet paper , kleenex or clean towels. - no drain plug for bath so my wife couldn't bathe. -even on entry, room was only barely cleaned -no maid service during our entire stay. -no final bill , receipt or list of charges upon checkout (still waiting) No one to call.

Good location We didn't have enough blankets in our room, so we called the responsible to get us one, but although we stayed there for four days, we didn't get it and we didn't even get an explanation. There were a couple of pillow linings and a towel that were not really clean, and not enough towels too.

It was spacious and well positioned Excellent service from the concierge The kitchen was poorly equipped With broken equipment, no knives, no microwave. Glass wear inadequate ,cracked and broken The TV was not working and when notified no repairs were conducted during our stay. One door had broken hinge The shower flooded every time it was used due to the quality of the shower curtain and was moldy. This is not a complaint but our observations.

The location. It was close to the subway and midway between central park and south ferry. The beds were shocking.Mine was actually broken. When I mentioned it to them they either wanted me to move 65 streets to the north or accept a smaller room.

The location is absolutely fantastic (lemme say again - fantastic!) at a ridiculous price. I got a single bed studio which was big (for european standards, where I come from as well as nyc). The apartment was nicely equipped (cutlery, fridge, stove, coffeemaker). The whole stay basically felt like the apartment was all mine - it's not serviced which is actually kinda cool, because while you are there you live there - nobody takes care of the apartment except you. Doormen are friendly. Place is very quiet, heating is just fine (except the funny noises it makes in the morning when it starts). About 2 minutes of walk from Washington Square park. I'm definetly gonna stay here again! Tiny bathroom, havent even met anybody from the official staff of the Village Apartments + rooms are not serviced daily - but these are small things!

The doormen are incredibly excellent. Location brilliant. i stay here once a month because of above. everything else is pretty bad including the fact that you cannot discuss anything with the owners/ managers of the hotel. Hotel itself has bad beds, miniscule bathrooms, ethernet doesnt work unless you spend an hour reinstalling it yourself, and there is no kitchen.

The location was great - I wanted to be downtown near my son and being there was perfect. However, as a previous NY resident and understanding that apartments in NY are old and small, I felt that there were some things that definitely could have been improved! First, the orange and black mold in the bathroom - it's pretty much a health hazard and just plain gross. The kitchen needed a coffee machine and better utensils so that cooking would be easier - it's one of the reasons I chose an apartment as opposed to a hotel. Ended up having to buy my meals out pretty much every day as there weren't pots and pans to cook with.
