Score from 40 reviews Very good
This place was extremely clean and nicely appointed. I loved that it was a suite, which is so much better than just a room with a bed and TV. It gave us a separate place to sit and talk, or just be in a place that did not disturb the sleeper. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Good breakfast included
No pool or hot tub
Great room, quiet, comfortable and the staff was over the top helpful. Breakfast delivered on time to the room. They bring fresh bread and there is a toaster in the room.
Only one negative. Great room with NO curtains in the bedroom. Just blinds that let the lights in the parking lot glare into the room as if we had the lights on. There were rails but not curtains. Too bad.
Location, grea staff, available in high season, had fridge, microwave, coffee, breakfast
Very noisy from hall noise and parking lot, 'kitchen' layout very cramped - especially when br breakfast tray was delivered and there was no real table to put anything on Wi-Fi did not work in room...big pillows
love the small decks. The mini kitchen as well.
The suite was beautiful, clean, with wonderful beds. Staff would rather be somewhere else!
A great breakfast was suppose to be included with our room rate. Well forget it, they are remodeling and hot breakfast won't be avail until .next year. Booking did not tell us this info or we would not have stayed here. Hotel staff blamed Booking.com for not updating their web site. We chose this hotel because of all the rave reviews about the breakfast. We were not happy. Instead the hotel gave you a small basket with yogert, banana and health bar! Yuck!! Be forwarned!!!
First off it was clean, the beds were wonderfully soft, a beautiful area to relax. In room breakfast was an unexpected pleasant surprise.
I liked it all.
The morning delivery of coffee, juice, fruit was very nice.
The rooms were spacious but we could smell the cleaning solvent that would be used cleaning up after pets. Also the rooms were industrial, sterile...nothing "warm" about it. There is no lobby, it seemed like it might have been an assisted living facility at one time.
King size bed was the best, very comfortable, third floor room was exceptionally quiet, ambient light at night was v.g., a.c. worked well, suite was roomy, with double doors separating living and sleeping area, balcony was an added fillip, with panoramic view of Ashland hills, room service was prompt and polite, location was convenient and far enough off highway to escape noise. Availability of tennis courts and bicycles an added advantage. Over all a good value for the price.
Breakfast was inadequate for a better motel, microwave, flatware and dishware would have been helpful in kitchenette, missed a pool in this hot weather, charging long distance for local calls is inexcusable, staff though in other ways helpful was not sufficiently knowledgeable on local amenities, particularly about the presence of a large, publicly-accessible, lithia-filled pool north of Ashland, and the great variety of local restaurants.
They bring a very good continental breakfast and paper to your room in the morning when ever you want it no charge. Close to freeway with freeway noise.
Well trained staff promptly checked us into a very nice and spacious suite and made arrangements for a nice breakfast basket as well.
A mostly excellent suite at the price of an ordinary room.
Some cheap fittings took the edge off, e.g. a fixed shower head over the bath, a tv stuck on one channel, and no glasses, plates or cutlery supplied in the kitchen.
roomy, friendly staff, nice breakfast basket delivered to room.
Would have liked a shuttle to Shakespeare venue.
Location off the 5. Kitchenette in good shape. Gals at front desk and maintenance boys were great.
Although it was delivered to our room at the time requested, it lacked.
The staff was attentive, professional and very helpful. The room was large and comfortable.
This hotel seemed more like a condo, with spacious quarters (bedroom and den), a private balcony, and views of the nearby hills. Breakfast was delivered to our room by smiling staff. The handicap bathroom was huge with all the necessary bars for support. Highly recommended.
The hotel is several miles from downtown Ashland, but much superior to any situated closer that we have stayed in. Parking is easy to find near the center.
The suite was spacious and clean - we were very happy with the accommodations.
I would have appreciated it if the comforter had a duvet cover, rather than loose sheets above and below.
very nice rooms, clean, nice grounds, easy on/off freeway
Offer of Eng. Muffins but weren't available two days?
Some wasted food items...
The suites were quite spacious. The bed was really comfortable. A breakfast basket was brought to our room with coffee, yogurt, fresh fruit, muffins and granola bars; plenty for us.
From the moment we made the reservation, until the day we left... was a total pleasure! The staff, across the board, were pleasant, helpful, efficient, warm and attentive. They treated us like it was their business, and not just salaried employees. That was especially noted, and much appreciated.
There were no negatives... a most unusual travel experience. We will, and have, already recommended Ashland Hills Hotel & Suites to friends.
property still under renovation, hard to locate the entrance around behind the property
Clean, good wifi
Price was high for the value.
The rooms were large and the beds were comfortable. Complimentary continental-type breakfast was nice.
The hotel seemed unfinished; maybe it's being remodeled, but it didn't look like any work was being done. It's a large property, but few people were there. There was no real lobby or general area to relax, read a paper, have a cup of coffee, etc.
