Service from Grace at the front desk. Valet guys great
Sizeof standard room too small. No comfortable chair to relax in. Bed to worn out.
I enjoyed the hotel decor and layout.
I didnt appreciate that for the money our suite did not have any windows. Kind of a downer.
Rooms are spacious , clean and very well as well as nicely decorated .
On check in I was upgraded to a very nice large one bedroom room , however , the room location was towards a very unpleasant view (if you can at all call it a view). The window from the living room area was facing directly towards a very large fan of the hotel’s air conditioning system or something similar ... this was really an awful view ...should I had to spend there more than one night , I would insist on changing the room . Another annoying issue is the request to pay $37 (!!) for a night parking .. While it is understood that the location is downtown Portland , I think it is outrageous to charge such a sum when in front of the hotel there is a public parking lot which cost much less . If you arrive in the evening and leave around 08:00 , there is plenty of parking on the street . I was surprised to see that at such a nice hotel , there was almost no toiletry at the room.
The 'Starlight' room was cramped and out-dated. We did not get the room we reserved. Had to join a rewards program to get free wi-fi. Walls were thin and we heard details about our neighbors...activities.
All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. This hotel is also dog friendly. They even put the dog's name on a welcome board in the lobby! So cute :) The hotel's location is also perfect, right in the middle of downtown, walking distance to everything you need. Had a very pleasant stay!
The massage therapist offered extra services to my boyfriend after the in room massage. Extremely unprofessional.
Everything else but the price of parking.
Daily parking charge is too expensive - over $30/day
The entire staff was awesome. Hotel was beautiful
Valet and Bell service was very friendly and helpful.
Was checking into King Suite with city view (as stated in our confirmation) and was shown to a room on 8th floor with no windows and but had a closed sky light that curtin did not open. Nicely asked for a room change and were directed to room on 7th floor with no City view. This stay and hotel was not up to the Kimpton standards and we were disappointed.
The staff is nice and very helpful and the location is absolutely perfect for downtown Portland. But if sleep is important to you, ask for a room away from the 5am trash pickup trucks that beep-beep-beep, slam metal, slam metal, and the related sounds when businesses roll their big dumpsters back inside.
Elevators to the rooms is on level after three steps, which is difficult to negotiate (long steps, without railing in the center, marble-slippery) for folks who may have some -even minor- physical restrictions, or in my case, visual impairment.. Yes- hotel technically meets ADA standards, if you go around and in through the restaurant, or use the clunky, slow "lift". But I don't recommend this hotel if this will be a challenge for you. Also beware, as of 6/18/14, there was still remodeling construction in lobby area and there were obstacles in the pathways.
when I complained about our room smelling musty staff quickly gave us a new room and then when we were waiting for our car for what was a fairly long time maybe 25 minutes the person working with the valet staff made the decision to take parking off of our bill. at this hotel staff are given the authority to make customers satisfied I was impressed and would go back we went there for the Seattle to Portland bike ride and it was great
Wait for car. Pazzo not up to expectations especially for prices but wait staff was excellent.
Really great customer service when I had problems they promptly and completely helped me out. Very nice.
Not much this trip
It was a nice vintage hotel with charm.
Bathrooms were small and no view. The hallways and outer bathrooms seemed out of date and could be spruced up a bit.
Good design, very clean, good service. Great experience
Good location. Nice rooms with massive tubs and comfy beds.
Weird staff. Not too friendly.
The hotel was small but had everything we needed and more. The room while rather small was comfortable, nicely furnished and bed very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend The Vintage.
I have no negative opinion of anything at this hotel.
Room was nice
No hot tub, no DVD player, over charged me
Location is super! Stuff is very friendly.
Pillows are too soft and, IIRC, no options.
Location, Friendly staff. Gave me a late (1pm) checkout. Thanks!
Key became demagnitized. Didn't like being issued a separate metal key for the minibar. Maybe ask the traveler if they would like it or not. Didn't like the uber-expensive Teddy Bear on the bed. Seems cruel to young parents.
proximity to all downtown. Used restaurant for lunch and breakfast. Good food and value. Room comfortable.
Location was great. Close to numerous activities, dining and shopping.
The Wi-Fi in the hotel is abysmal. Within my room (No. 333) there were several "dead" spots. Could not maintain connectivity long enough to send or receive emails or text messages. I eventually had to go into the hallway. Not a great option.
very warm and welcoming efficient staff- helpful
room could be cleaner.
Location is good than enough, only couple minutes walk from Downtown shopping and many restaurants. Staff at the door is friendly and kind enough to offer you assistance. The room is very clean and comfortable. Very old-fashioned setting as well.
Some of the staff at the check-out counter didn't do any greeting at all.
The Pazzo Ristorante, the wonderful staff, the comfortable beds, the warm socks and robes!! It is a wonderful, boutique hotel right in downtown Portland.
Our room was just one floor above the bus stop so it was a bit noisy, but otherwise we LOVE the hotel.
