Great location, beautiful lobby, comfy rooms, loved the roof top terraces. Coffee in the morning was a nice touch. Friendly staff, especially concierge and lady at breakfast.
Shower in the bath tub, very pricey drinks at the bar, quality of food in restaurant so so, no pool or tubs. Windows in bed room don't open so no fresh air.
We booked waterfront king, and got a side view, definitely not what we expected.
Perfect location, lovely balcony with amazing view. Very helpful friendly staff. Loved the tub
The bed was just ok. Kinda wobbly
Love the decor, the vibe, location, staff, and CD mood music.
scratchy bed spread, pricey
Location was great for our purposes.
Seemed like a pig with lipstick. Older hotel with cosmetic improvements but only skin deep. Furniture had stains, linen was tattered, night stands didn't match...just didn't have a 4.5 star rating in my opinion.
It smelled so good everytime we walked in the front lobby. Great first impression.
We had trouble with room service, but nothing major to complain about.
Staff was great!
location is great, market place and ferries are just cross the street.
The staff immediately make you feel welcome the second you step into the hotel. Compared to some of the other high-end hotels in SF, Hotel Vitale goes above and beyond expectations for the busy traveler looking for a place to relax and decompress. We will be back soon!
Service, room, breakfast (best salmon & bagel of my life), position, WSJ at each floor, rooms on the top floor have private terrace....
Price a little high but we should consider that in town there was the NADA show event of the automotive industry....
Location…very good restaurant across the street, also.
We have stayed here several times before and it was nice. This trip our bathroom had not been cleaned and tOlivet and area around it was filthy.we didn't notice till late evening when we went to our room, and the hotel did nothing except say sorry. I was very disappointed for a room that rooms close to 400
staff great bedroom great concierge brilliant perfect location good meal for room service
breakfast really poor would have liked a swimming pool too many add on at the end of your bill would have liked same rate for 3 nights not different rates.
location, views and cleanliness
beds were good but quite bouncy. No vanity space in the bathroom so there was no where to put our own items.
We loved being on the Embarcadero and near the Ferry Building. The restaurant had wonderful choices for breakfast, and a nice bar for a drink at the end of the day. Our room had a view of the bay bridge from the bed, and it was lovely to watch the lights in the evening. The decor is modern but welcoming. All in all, a wonderful hotel.
mediocre service for a hotel at this price
Perfect location. Great looking hotel. Got great last minute deal so made it great value. View from deck made for most memorable New Year's Eve. Would come stay here agsin next time for sure.
The urban fee of 30 a day includes things like free wifi, so it's not really free, is it. If u take advantage of morning yoga it's worth it.
We have stayed here several times and each time have had an excellent experience. The location is good for getting around the city on public transport. Love the Bay Bridge view,
+ Wonderful location + Beautiful rooms + Nice bar/ restaurant downstairs + Professional staff
- Surprise $30 "amenities charge" for "free" wifi and tea in the lobby; non-negotiable, whether you want wifi/ tea or not. Instead of being upfront about it in the room rate, they sneak it in.
Great hotel in great location
Didn't have NFL network
Beds were quite comfortable Good location for us, but I'll stick to their competitors also in the area
The "urban retreat fee". The additional $30 should be reflected in your displayed pricing. It felt like a bait and switch and I fell for false pricing. Also, I wasn't impressed by the front desk personnel
Nice Touches: when you stay on business you expect a certain standard of hotel with all the food, comfort, WiFi, location needs ticked. Vitale does this, but had some nice touches - a selection of CDs in the room (including Christmas songs!), lovely toiletries in the bathroom, and the room service food was better than expected. Concierge was great and recommended a perfect itinerary to fill 2-3 hrs between conference and flight. WiFi: free for emails and most use of internet. Was enough for me. Have to pay for high speed. Spa: great massage by Eve (a proper therapeutic one) helped to ease the jetlag. Would have liked to try out the rooftop bath with amazing views. Food: breakfast great, room service also good. Food you like to order with an interesting twist. Pizza was possibly the best i've ever had... but may have been influenced by jetlag and not having eaten for 8 hrs! Comfort: Comfy bed, lots of space in the room, not noisy (floor 4) Location: couldn't be better with views of the Bay Bridge, opposite the Ferry Building and withing walking distance of Union Square, Fisherman's Wharf.. and i walked from Union Street via Lombard St, Coit Tower etc back to the hotel with ease.
Only negative was that the shower was more like a blessing than a deluge!
Views of the Embarcadero and Bay Bridge with its stunning LED lighting . Great restaurants across the street. Trolley, bike rental, bike path to pier 39 are all around the corner. Sound proof windows, wonderful comfortable bed, perfect location in San Francisco.
It was Perfect!
next to the market. easy to get in and out of town.
expensive. did not fill minibar on request. overcharged us on our bill. did not have a car for rides less than a mile despite their advertising this perk.
