Location, view from room.
Public area furniture is really looking very shabby. Wifi definitely second rate.
room size, bed, seating area, view, location, bathroom size, quiet - did not hear other guests
shower head. Terrible for women who don't want to get their hair wet. Noise in lobby.
Location. Staff always helpful but when your bed is so obviously lumpy/broken, trip ruined. No shampoo in room either.
See above - bed, no turndown in a $600 room, no shampoo
Staff was wonderful friendly and accommodating. No problem getting a later check out. Great views from room and terrace, perfect location for experiencing all SF has to offer. Resort fee is a little steep for bad coffee- i suggest heading across the street for a decent cup of joe!
Resort fee for bad coffee, no pool or hot tub
location was wonderful
It seemed that bass sounds were coming through to my room from the room next door most of the early morning hours.
Great decoration - Lovely homely & relaxing feel Very clean and well looked after. Good location. Huge rooms and bathroom, comfy bed and great view Amazing robes :)
Just a little pricey
Rooms were delightfully decorated in soothing spa colors. It was even nice to hang out in the living room-like lobby. Spacious and comfortable to enjoy the morning coffee. But the best feature are the viewing decks on 5th,7th, and 8th floors. Fabulous views of the Bay Bridge and Ferry Building.
The situation with the spa, which was one of our main reasons for booking there, was deplorable. The website was broken, the automated phone message gave the wrong instructions, and messages left were not returned for days. The result was that by the time an actual human responded, all spa services were entirely booked for the whole weekend. When we checked in and complained, we were added to an impossibly long wait list. The management made no apologies or effort to assuage our bitter disappointment. The best we got was an excuse that "someone needed to talk to corporate about fixing the website."
Location was great! Loved walking down Embarcadero. Great restaurant downstairs and across the street. Concierge was really helpful with reservations to popular restaurants.
A hot tub would have been nice. Also, we saw others offered warm towels to freshen up upon arrival..we were not. That would have been nice after our long drive. Parking was expensive.
Consistently good service
Bar closes before midnight, even when full. A real buzzkill.
I loved that the location by the waterfront, we were able to walk to the Ferry Building, the new Exploritorium and Pier 39... I liked the terrace on the hotel for terrific views of the Bay bridge and the water.
Noise - outside ,as well as, overhead - I assumed construction was going on. Overrated amenities (warm hand towel at check in / bathroom amenities - not much better than a Holiday Inn. Not enough closet space for a weeks stay.
Location and staff were both great. Hotel is generally well designed, however a little bland and starting to look dated for a hotel which see's itself as premium and 'design'.
$850+ a night is massively overpriced. It's a general issue with SF, particularly at busy times of year, however it makes it impossible to say that a hotel which is in most ways pretty nice, a great place to stay.
They advertise roof top terraces and both were closed for private parties. I could have stayed at any hotel at that point for less money.
This is a wonderful hotel close to most attractions or near public transportation. The staff was very helpful. We will return
The location of the hotel is great, near the ocean and the piers. The stuff was very helpful and kind. We really recommend on the restaurant in the ground floor, the food is amazing. The room was big and clean. 5 minute walk from the Market street and the San Francisco Cable Car (California line)
Close to BART, Market Street, hotel is small and polished. Great views of bay.
Location, bar scene
Bathrooms were not clean - plenty of mildew. I had to move rooms and 2nd room only somewhat better.
Clean and wonderful
Great location and helpful staff. Hotel has a good feel about it.
Great location, very nice rooms, good street noise abatement, excellent breakfast.
A great location for our one night stop over with very friendly and efficient staff
