The a/c had a mildew smell to it. They need to accomplish some maintenance on their vents and system.

headboard on bed was nasty, didn't like that there was no shower door, wish there was room in refrigerator for our waters, didn't put new shampoo, body wash in shower even though ours was clearly empty, the bottles were in trash. Had to call and ask for more. didn't like having to pay for parking since it was already expensive to stay there, seemed like an insult to pay more to park

Staff was helpful, though some were robotic in their "my pleasure" responses. Free WiFi was reliable. Lobby bartender was quick and adept. Location is convenient to much of what Atlanta has to offer.
Small dark room. Crooked light fixtures. Dingy carpet. Dusty furniture. Saggy bed. Sink slow to drain. Toilet seat squeaky. Most channels were not HD. Felt like a fancy DaysInn along the interstate.
The room and view were really nice and the staff was very friendly, which made me smile at times.
There should at least be at checklist for the snacks that are in the room. I was charged for a snack in which I know that myself or my party did not eat.
They were efficient and made the proper drink.
Thought price of $11 stiff for a bourbon/ginger ale. Though it was NOT busy there was no interaction.

The bed sheets were dirty when we arrived. The shower head was too high up and didn't produce enough power. The lighting is terrible especially where the mirrors are.
Customer service at this property was fantastic! Kennedy the front desk associate and Daniel The bartender at Trace were both amazing!
People can smoke on the entire outdoor deck space, which is connected to the entance of the hotel. So I couldn't enjoy sitting on the deck, which would have been great.
In the middle of it all. Dining, shopping and attractions in walking distance. On site club and bar. Excellent staff.
horrible noise when we arrived, noise made cafe even for breakfast unpleasant. Shower very inadequate, light bulb beside couch too dim to allow reading. would much have preferred a comfortable chair and good lighting to read by.
The staff is very well trained and accommodating. Very nice. I am Deaf and they were very helpful in assuring that my room was accessible and that I was safe. I also liked the location I would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

They didn't have my reservation in their system. I had my confirmation email, so it got straightened out, though it did take several minutes. They told me that booking.com didn't have a method of payment on file. I don't know where the breakdown in communication happened, but I put my card in when I booked it online.

a large percentage of guests were there for a hip hop convention, rude, scary looking, pants hanging down/underwear showing in the lobby, large groups of men hanging around the lobby and entrance at all hours..not a pleasant environment in this quality of a hotel. also awoken by guests yelling hallway at night, further disappointed by no room service while room was vacated for most of the day Will not stay in another W again

parking was a joke checking in took entirely too long--no preference given for SPG I dont like the soap/shampoo you provide. It doesn't work well and smells cheap. You should look into Peter Thomas Roth's line!
The location is great, the room comfortable and the service excellent.
The room would maybe need a refreshment, but nothing critical. The inside of the hotel is dark.
I loved the Bliss products.
We were in a room right next to the elevator (2500) and could hear it going up and down ALL night long, which kept us from sleeping each night. We were also told that since we were Starwood preferred members, we would receive a lower rate upon our arrival at the hotel but then were only given 1 night of a lower rate at the end of our stay--the staff were not helpful with this matter and simply stated that we were not qualified. Finally, I would recommend some upkeep on this hotel. It is a prime location, and the W hotel has a great reputation of being very trendy at other locations. Unfortunately, the only bar/restaurant that was open was the one on the lobby level, and there was only one waitress working in the evenings, making service extremely slow and not proficient. One of the valet guys put my car in the wrong gear, and had to call me to come down and fix it because he could not get it back in to "drive." I would only consider coming back it the hotel made some improvements.
The only person who stood out was the person who check us in, R. West. He remembered my name throughout our stay and was concerned that we were comfortable.
The moto here is Whatever Whenever. I think now that stands for "Whatever we have and whenever we can get it to you." Several of our requests were never responded to. My wife got stuck in the elevator because her room key stopped working. They gave her a hard time about providing ID (which of course was in the room) until R. West recognized her. They offered a complimentary bottle of wine for her trouble but it took several hours to get AFTER we reminded them of their offer. Some staff members were actually rude to us. I would think twice about staying at The W, Midtown Atlanta
The staff were nice and accommodating. I thought the bar prices were high until I went other places and they were actually comparable.
The website states that it is a valet only hotel, but there is a public parking garage literally next door to the property.
Staff was friendly and professional.
Room condition was poor, with tile pieces broken off in the shower, veneer in the furniture was bubbling, sliding door to bathroom kept falling off the track, bed was very uncomfortable & I sprang for the king bed with view of the park, which was a mistake. Don't waste the money as you will not get what you expect. My rating will probably not match my horrible experience as it is not very comprehensive. I would stay somewhere else.
The dj and bar was great.
The lighting in rooms and especially the makeup area was so dim it Made me wander I they were trying to hide something. No exhaust in the bathroom was strange considering taking the number 2. Lack of signage was a little annoying as well. No signs where there's not much staff equals frustration and time lost.
The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The noise level was low, even during a busy weekend. The proximity to great restaurants is very nice.
We parked in the deck below the hotel...which is very convenient, but on Saturday, it took us over a hour to get out of the deck. We were told that some of the booth collectors were absent that day, but for a 4 star hotel, this is ridiculous. The people in the garage were furious and frustration led to a lot of yelling between patrons. And after waiting more than a hour ( and the hotel was aware of the delay), the hotel/garage still charged everyone the regular rate. It seemed to be that a hotel this nice, would try to make this right by decreasing the fare, but this did not happen. It was ridiculous. Also, it would be helpful if the staff would accommodate the room for 2 people if it is booked for 2 people. When we got into our room, there was only one bathroom and not enough toiletries to use for three days..and the cleaning staff did not refill the products until specifically asked to do so.
