Scenery, remote feeling. Friendly service. Like seclusion yet close to everything. Very clean, beds were comfortable.

Breakfast was a little disappointing although understandable. Could use a vending machine for beverages and snacks. Couldn't find ice...

This certainly isn't a five star place but it's great value for your money. We were snowboarding Okemo Saturday and Sunapee Sunday and wanted to find a reasonable place to stay for Saturday night; it was clean and did the job!

I travel a lot of places through the united states for my business obligations and it is always nice to get a motel room for a quiet evening and relax, there location is great and there personnel are very helpful and friendly " GOOD PEOPLE "

Room 14 has a WONDERFUL room of the Connecticutt River! Simple but clean room.

Staff could smile a little more, but they were helpful when asked.

When I turned into the entrance I saw the most beautiful sunset behind the inn. I remarked to the owner how aptly named the Sunset Motor Inn was! I also liked the convenient location; just 10 minutes away from the Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital where a family member was having surgery. The breakfast, which was part of the room rate, included an option for a make-your-own fresh hot waffle-yummy! It was also nice for me as a solo female traveler, knowing the owners' lived on site.

The owner wasn't particularly sociable, even though the two times I was in the office/breakfast area there were no other customers. The bed was a bit hard, and there was dust on the tops of the lamps. Although the tub, toilet, sink, and floor were clean, there were a few black spots on the tub grout that could benefit from some bleach.

The owner is very friendly and helpful. The room is surprisingly large and comfortable, with many unexpected amenities (hair dryer, razor, fridge, microwave). Right down the road from Dartmouth, Sunset Motor Inn is very conveniently located. The view of the pond from the back windows is beautiful. We were comfortable and happy in a room that--in an area shockingly expensive--was quite sufficient for our needs.

The owners do everything themselves--check-in, cleaning, laundry, "breakfast" (coffee and rolls--if someone appears!) They are hard- working and responsible, but soap containers were empty, sheets not changed (in four days), towels not replaced, wastebaskets not taken out. . . .it was like being in India again. When guests state their needs, they are looked after quickly and graciously. When the wheels do not squeak, it is assumed that no oil is needed! The Internet could not be accessed in the room and the tv stations were very limited. You must have a car--lack of sidewalks makes walking inconvenient. Again, though, Hanover is very expensive, and we were satisfied.

It's convenient location to Dartmouth

Quiet surroundings. Easily located. Pleased to find a hair dryer in room.

Towels were poor quality. No shower mat. No lights at bedside or head of bed.

In the lake behind the motel we spotted a beautiful bald eagle perched on a log!

Price and location, very close to Hanover which was our destination. Price was very reasonable, not for those looking for a 5 star hotel but very reasonable and comfortable.

No coffee prior to 8AM.

Breakfast time starting at 8 am was too late. They were willing to accommodate, however. Wifi didn't work in our in our unit.

The owners were very nice and were intent upon making sure everything was all right. It was on a lovely lake with a pleasant view. It was cheap and clean and we only needed a place to stay for the night. We arrived late and left early and it met our needs. Very good television service.

It's an old, run-down looking place.

The woman running the place the next morning at breakfast could not have been more nice and helpful. I was expecting muffins and cereal for breakfast, but was very nicely surprised that they had a make it yourself waffle machine. Delicious! Aside from that, while the room was quite small it was very clean.

They have air conditioners running on extension cords. Seems to me that could be quite a danger.

It is quiet and has beautiful natural surroundings.

I simply could not have access to the internet. The staff member would only say that it was not his fault, and that other people sometimes find it difficult to get a connection there. I can say that I never found any difficulty to get wi-fi connection through the same laptop anywhere else. This problem seriously affected my stay there, as I would not be able to work in my free time. Because the towns around are so small, there was no alternative for accommodation. If that inn were in a different area, I would have gone to another hotel immediately!
