In New York City's trendy SoHo district, this 5-star hotel is inspired by the Jean Cocteau Film, "La Belle et la Bête" and features a restaurant, bar and modern guest rooms with floor-to-ceiling...
Score from 592 reviews Very good
First the rooms are too small.the rooms have no wifi after paying all that money for a room and then have to pay for wifi too....hell no!!!.no coffee maker in ur room...anyway I would not recommend cause I was not satisfied. ....the people at the bar was very nice thats the only thing I enjoyed....
The room and the view was absolutely beautiful. Also the front desk clerk was very nice and inviting
Location is excellent, the "wonderful king" room was a great size with a view of the Freedom Tower. Very comfortable bed. There is a frosted glass panel between the shower and the bedroom- not totally see through but not private either. Housekeeping and bartenders were great. The man at the front desk should stay behind the scenes in the office and not be dealing with guest. Rather rude and did not seem pleased to be working there the night we checked in. VERY off putting for the first impression at the W.
The rude front desk worker.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The safe was convenient to use. The bathroom set up (i.e. drawer).
The air system was difficult to use / program.
The location was great as it is as near to the 9/11 museum as one could be! The view from our room was fabulous, and the room was very spacious.
The cost of the room was very expensive, in fact, twice as much as a couple of surrounding hotels nearby. Also, the modern decor and ambiance of the room were not to our liking - a bit too modern and sleek! There was no space for toiletries in the bathroom as the vanity was crowded. The lighting in the room was lacking as well - lamps didn't give off enough light at all!
I will definitely comeback again!
Incredible views of the Freedom Tower. Very cool rooms (snakeskin bathroom tile!?! - it works)
If you are trying to do more central things, you will have to cab a lot as it's in Battery Park.
Modern and friendly. Great view of the trade center. My reservation was not in their system, did not receive it from Booking. They corrected the problem right away.
room very comfortable. great location and value.. would stay again. thanks
did'nt love decor in lobby level and halls but that really didn't effect stay.
Stylish Lobby & Bar.
Our bathroom had no storage space and the water was running out of the shower. Our room had a second door to another room that was locked but had an automatic opening mechanism that was blinking and noisy.
Convenient, inexpensive for a basic comfortable room
Associated restaurants & bars very poor. Staff untrained, facilities often closed when you wanted a drink. Front desk staff friendly but some were poorly informed about local restaurants etc
clean, nice view, close to mta. if you're looking for downtown hotel - very recommended.
the location was good, but we prefer midtown better.
Rooms need a bit of freshening
It was a beautiful hotel very trendy! The staff were pleasant and helpful. The location was super convenient. Perfect place was a weekend get away. They gave us a free room upgrade which was sweet. View is beautiful at night. I would definitely come back again.
Parking is an additional $60. I paid enough for the room not giving you more money to park.
Rooms are good basic & comfortable. The deal was a reasonable price. It is right beside "ground zero"
The hotel ran out of tea for 3 days at the breakfast bar. Each day they ran out of orange juice by about 9:30. The concierges varied, a couple were great & a couple were poorly informed. The bar was closed till 5pm! The crowds visiting Ground Zero can be a pain to get through.
location and staff friendliness
- no free wi-fi in the room (that's a minimum requirement) - could hear loud guests going into their rooms from the club in the lobby late at night (perhaps better sound insulation) - it would be good if the bottle of water in the room was also free (just as a courtesy)
The staff, particularly at check-in, are fantastic.
Chic hotel, great location, Bliss toiletries, clean room, quick service at the desk
Bed and pillows not very comfortable, bathroom had a glass wall so when someone would turn on the light in the middle of the night the whole bedroom would light up
Cool location with great views from my room. The staff were efficient and interior design of the lobby area is stunning. I appreciated the help yourself coffee and teas throughout the morning in the bar and of course my favorite BLISS Lemon & Sage products i the bathroom!
I missed the distinctive aroma candles I so closely associate with many of the W hotels I have stayed in previously! Being on the second floor, the lobby feels quieter, which can be nice, but adds to the slightly out of the way feel of this particular W hotel.
Ability to see the East River. Proximity to World Trade memorial. The showers
Our window blew open on Saturday night while we were out. Noise late night people traveled to our room.
Awesome, modern lobby with e large fish tank. Access to cocktail bar from the lobby.
Outdated bathrooms (1990s). Vastly INFERIOR to the quality at the Dream Downtown.
The view over the new wtc is spectacular. The staff makes a real effort to please. Great value.
In the evening need to walk to find a taxi.
The view ,the interior design
Too far down town
Everything was copastetic !
Bed was heaven
