Friendly, Helpful Staff, Good Value
A security guard named Anthony went out of his way to help my wife who wasn't feeling well after travelling. He opened a private lounge so that she could rest while waiting for the room to be readied.
It could use some updating.
Lots of light from the windows. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable room.
Older building needs reno updates. Not very sound proof. Noise carries from adjoining room, lots of traffic noise. Kitchen needs a sharp knife.
The location and the breakfast coupon were great.
The hotel and rooms were rather run down. Probably a great deal on Waikiki, though.
The staff was curtious and happy. The Hotel may be a little older but always clean and respectable. The location is perfect at a price you couldn't beat!
I liked it, nothing to complain about!
The beds were very comfortable, good size fridge, TV & table. ABC store in foyer had very reasonable supplies, & was open long hours.
The water pressure needs to be stronger in the shower, which was being fixed, they said. Breakfast was too expensive, even with a discount.
Excellent and very helpful staff, style and decoration of the hotel
A bit noisy
Great ocean views.
Charged a hotel fee of $10.00 a night. I had to agree to it when checking in. However, I have stayed their many times over the last number of years and did not have to pay a hotel fee. I like to no my costs ahead of making a reservation.
The value for the price. The views and some of the location. Breakfast buffet.
Front desk was going to boot me out December 24th & 25th. So I booked it on Bookings.com. I don't understand it and it was cheaper. :-/ Window units. Charges for parking but 50% discount when I asked.
central, decent sized rooms
bed comfort and definitely the unhelpful staff inspite of all the tips
very nice location
Friendly staff. Location.
Bathroom needs updating.
central location Nice friendly staff
Easy access to shops and restaurants. Laundry facilities in hotel, plus fresh filter coffee each morning in room.
Poor in-room WIFI.
Location is very close to Waikiki beach and shopping.
It was clean and very soft towels. Big TV. Close enough to walk to the beach. As a cheaper hotel it's good
This like all hotels in Waikiki gets the traffic/ building noise of a noisy US city. Bathroom a bit dated. Shower leaked
The staff was very nice. The entrance area makes you happy in the first place, you think you enter a modern design hotel, very nicely arranged, unfortunately this impression doesn't hold on up with the rest of the hotel, especially the rooms. The service at the breakfast area was very nice, we were about few minutes before closure and she immediately mentioned that but told us we could sit and eat as long as we wanted, just would have to pick everything we want to eat from the buffet right away. The breakfast room was as well moderate, especially when sitting closed to the windows, street side, it again looks nicely.
The room was pretty much run down. I felt like in a small boat cabin when entering the tiny bathroom, everything was a bit rattly somehow and there was this ceiling where somehow never anybody cleaned, so after the years things somehow start looking not so nice, as well with the dust there. The carpet was very old. The room was quite noisy, 7th floor and towards the main road. All in all it didn't feel like worth the money but I think you just pay like half of the price for the location.
Rooms, were terrible, as well as beth. Smells terrible. Poor maintenance.
The staff was very helpfull
The beds were comfortable and the location was quite alright. The staff were helpful when we needed help with rebooking a shuttle transport.
The room smelt stale and damp and so did there corridor. A lot of the common areas were wore down. The room we initially got did not have a safety deposit box even though the specification said there would be. The staff handled this quite well though, and we were moved to a room that had one. It turned out that they are renovating the rooms, and the new room did not smell bad and was much nicer than the one we got first. Not included in the fare is a service fee of $10 a night, which we thought was a bit steep. Breakfast is almost $13 and not really worth it.
It was quite old and run down. Not really value for money
Staff were friendly.
Bit old and rundown
Perfect location. Nice hotel for the price.
Got room with waikiki view but didn't get a good view of waikiki
location was convenient to bus lines or walking to shops, restaurants and beach
staff did not usually know enough to assist with questions about the area
It's good that they provide unlimited bottled water
Requested for queen bed and we ended up with 2 double beds. They didn't advise early enough that they didn't have queen bed.
