Was VERY expensive! But hey it is a 5star resort and it was very comfortable and luxurious.
The whole resort looked out over the sea and we could lay by the pool whilst watching whales leap out of the ocean.
The food is not so good - dull scanty breakfast; tasteless lunch...
A snorkeling with baby-turtles.
I extremly don't like the way they chanrge my credit card! It's very confusing and up to now they have not released overauthorised amount of my credit card.
This is a truly wonderful property, From it's breathtaking oceanfront setting, to it's caring, well trained staff, the Resort is first class all around. The grounds are lush and well manicured as well. A jewel on Maui.
Quoted rate/price was not the rate charged. Total lack of integrity.
We enjoyed our stay and all the aspects of the resort.
The wooden bed stand created many stubbed toes. No walk in shower. Additional resort fee??? Additional service fee in spa not clearly presented. Tile floors created much notice with people and carts walking by. Lack of convent plugs for coffee maker. Marginal ocean view at ground floor.
Had bad food poisoning from the hotel luau. Reported it to staff but they did not make any effort to assist in the situation. Was very sick for days. Disappointed with management for not taking the situation seriously.
Great position of our room. Right in front of the serenity pool. Hotel was conveniently located near the Shopd at Wailea.
Staff wasn't all that warm and attentive compared to other hotels in the area. Ambience and amenities are just ok
The location is great
- Only one restaurant open for lunch - We didn't get the room that we asked for and it took 2 days to relocate. In the meantime, I had to sleep in a couch, as we were a couple with a child and a baby and we had assigned a room with a King bed and no crib.
- Good pool area for young kids - Beaches right in front of the hotel
Room location over the service entrance, cigarette smokers sneaking a smoke on the balconies - yuck
Friendly and helpful staff, great location - close to beaches, shops, boardwalk, and restaurants, and, of course the infinity adult pool! I always have a good time at a Marriott. Anchorage, Portland, San Antonio, Maui
The wifi is the worst I have experienced for years (and I travel a lot to third world countries). Do not expect to read news or the kids to play online games in the room. The lobby area is ok, but far from acceptable. We had a garden suite (800 usd/night incl. fees) but had to push to get proper bed linnen for the sofa bed. Only a throw was offered.
The pools are nice. The hotel is located close to a small shopping centre with restaurants and shops. The dive centre at the hotel is great.
1. Paid for ocean view, king, did not receive after 3 tries; a. 1+15 ck in wait;b.we were sent to occupied room;c.placed in 2 successive noisy rooms neither ocean kings. 2. Food expensive and tasteless 3. Room safe and phone did not work
As Airline Captain, I have stayed in this hotel many times before under different management. This time was the worst. Like: 1. Bell staff. 2. Hotel location.
My primary concern was the noise level from surrounding guests, i.e., doors slamming, loud talking, etc. Perhaps posting of signs to remind guests who arrive late evening or early morning that other guests may be sleep or resting would be in order.
We found the facility's staff to very friendly and helpful, particularly Natasha at Check-in. We had a beautiful view from our room and enjoyed sleeping to the sounds of the waves each night.
When paying for an ocean view room you would expect to be able to sea the ocean from your room, leaning off your balcony while looking to your left and only getting a glimpse between the trees is is not what I call an ocean view room.
The infinity pool is amazing and the staff where very helpful, also the "migrant" restaurant attached the Marriott had what I thought was the best food in Maui.
Rooms very clean
Pool too small for resort , rooms a little tired , us $ 700 / night at peak holiday season is way too high for disappointing standard of rooms .
Well positioned on coast , convenient for shopping.
Wailea is expensive in general. Really need a car. Couldn't get a good coffee
Location by the beach is good, lovely sunsets & views. Good pool areas.
Smoking was way down on the beach. All the extra fees ran the bill up- I didn't like that when the advertisement was 199. and the finial bill ended + 25 parking +++ to over 250.
We were able to view our snap shoots on the tv. The kids loved the mini water park it was hard to leave.
Friendly staff---thanks for checking me in Daniel and to the bell/valet who gave me my shell lei. Thank you to the 2 bartenders who served me my lava flows...made me enjoy the pool that much better. Finally, the Starbucks in the morning completed my excellent trip.
I did not like the added $30 resort fee or the fact that we have to pay for the cabana chairs.
I loved the views and the comfort and convenience of everything.
We had 2 one bedroom ocean suites booked for my wife and I, and my 90 year-old mother in law. This was too much for us, so we asked to cancel one suite at check-in. This saved us $640 per night x 2 nights as we had booked an extra room by mistake. The manager and the clerk at the front desk were great to do this for us! I am a Marriott Rewards client and very appreciative of this gesture. Dr M Guay
We felt disappointed at all the up charges; beach set up, parking, resort fee. Why not include it? Blonde Hostess at migrant was self impressed an not at all hospitable. Told us that she would check on timing for a table and then sat 3 waiting families before simply telling us how long. The general impression was that we were bothering or somehow inconveniencing her.
40 min Waiting for breakfast in restaurant to be seated
Great shampoo and shower gel
We stayed only one night, but it was good. Really good restaurant, good bar, clean rooms.
Outdated facilities and rooms. Only one renovated pool. You were charges extra for wifi and cabanas in the pool area.
