The price was incredibly high for the Superior Queen room, which was very tiny.
The hotel was nice, clean, and modern.

extremely noisy. Didn't get good advice about marathon road closures on departure day
By union square

I liked location and friendly staffing
May 12, 2015
The reception staff didn't have options to suggest, whether tours or restaurants. Just one of each. And too many homeless in the area.
Staff was cheerful, hotel clean and smaller room, to the rear, was quiet.

Restaurant and bar is a tad expensive $40 for x2 pancakes and x1 coffee. Shuttle bus arranged by the hotel was terrible - grumpy driver and a 'take your life in your hands' ride.
Room was 'compact' but perfect for a short stay. Under 5 mins to the Tram stop and the bus stop to Golden Gate Bridge is just outside. Staff we're helpful and friendly.

Sometimes the elevator is not working ;so we spent along time waiting the other working one. To watch TV you have to pay??!
Staff; quite,and security

the music play in the bar was outdated 80&90s American rock genre that is not in line with the decor and hip quotient of the hotel. Seem like music was played based on bartenders preferrence from overhearing his conversation with his colleague whom he was more interested to engage with than his customers sitting by the bar.
bubbly conceirge/reception who offered assistance in taxi booking, even offered a promotion price off and downloading of taxi app. Interior decor is very hip and contemporary which is very up to date with the beat of San Francisco. Nice hip bar and cocktails too.

The step in front of the entrance door too high! I fell and hit my head on the glass door :(
Love the balcony and the sliding doors. Should have few chairs for sitting there.

We had a change in the room style and the hotel had no problem accommodating our needs.

- Wifi was a bit poor connectivity and sometimes quite slow
- Very accommodating staff that enabled our requests - early checkin due to long haul international flight, and a quieter room. They were helpful and friendly. - Great location 2 blocks from Union Square - Stylish rooms and very comfortable - slept well, noise wasn't an issue, we were on the 6th floor - Nice stylish bar and restaurant - We had a really great stay

Staff and restaurant and furnishings that were pretty and functional.

This was the absolute worst and loudest bed I've ever slept in in my life of travels around the world of 25 countries (luxury to basic). Don't book room #804!!! The bed felt comfortable to sit on, but with any slight move while trying to sleep, it creaked so loudly and shook (no there was no earthquake) it kept both myself and my husband up! As far as earplugs, the hotel is on a sleazy street with way too many homeless and loud characters. I heard them through my earplugs, and heard the bed speaking through my earplugs too. Horrible sleep. Thank god it was for only one night, or we would have changed rooms or even checked out. We do NOT recommend staying here.
Cute room, and cute 4 poster bed, BUT that's it.

The room smelled like perfume
April 27, 2015
Room was cold
Access to the Gym around corner

Staff was Incredible!!Knowledgeable about city and willing to share information very helpful and kind.

Rooms on the small side, but that is the norm in downtown SF. There is a time at noon when both bar and restaurant are closed, so as I had checked out already, I had to go to somewhere else to get a coffee and and get some work done.
Well located, clean, received my boxes in advance at no charge. Free and good wifi. Coffee maker in the room, hair dryer and great cumplimentary toiletries.

A real one time for room check-in was told that room was not ready waited over an hour and a half then was told five minutes several times then finally switching rooms for us then valet in the car prove to be a daunting task called for the car they said it should take about 15 to 20 minutes 55 minutes later they forgot we were in the lobby which is only 12 feet from their face
The room and that is it.
April 21, 2015
Wifi average at best. Breakfast expensive, though no more than many hotels in this area.
Helpful and friendly staff. Close to conference venues
April 20, 2015
Wifi was free but rather slow. Traffic noise but it was not problematic.
Hotel and room had a lot more character than regular large chain hotels. Friendly and helpful staff, and a nice low key atmosphere. Well-placed to access central SF by foot.
April 20, 2015
as with any downtown San Francisco location the homeless people are an issue, but only after dark and late at night. They were not in your face or aggressive, however. Just is what it is and a reflection of our times.
great staff, convenient location, recently refreshed rooms, historic hotel
April 16, 2015
Noise from the street. The windows don't have double glass / not air tight
Decoration of the lobby and room
April 13, 2015
I had some concerns about safety at street, mainly at night
It was a good experience at all
April 10, 2015
Staff was incredible! Rooms are adorable, especially the suites!
April 7, 2015

Parking expensive but that's SF
