Adorable rooms, great location. Will definitely stay again.
Cleanliness Quality of furnishings, bed and bathroom facilities Helpful staff Quiet sleep Corner room was beautifully bright Plumbing was great Wifi reliable and fast
Breakfast not included Wifi not free
We had a lovely room at the top floor and felt quite comfortable there. We were aware of some of the criticisms the hotel had attracted in the past but the central location if the hotel plus some of the changes the hurl management had introduced made our stay a special one for us.
The unpleasant smell in the room and corridors. We managed to get rid of it in our room by borrowing air freshness from the cleaner.
The most friendly staff. They get 5 stars!
Location, theme, decor, staff helpful
Location, people at warwick was very helpful, kind and friendly, perfect restaurant in the hotel
beds in suites on the couch was not so comfortable
Food was amazing!!!
The friendliness of the Staff, the Hotel decor, the location, the new Bar (the range of drinks, friendly staff, the music, the buzz, the decor), the superb new Restaurant (and staff), in fact we liked everything about this Hotel, would come again and recommend, it exceeded my expectations. Great value for money.
Newly renovated. Room ready for early check in. Staff friendly and helpful.
Alarm clock went off in the middle of the night.
super clean and elegant
felt squeezed into the room...
Location and service was god
Suite was old and small, facilities at room were about time to change out, a process to refurbish the entire hotel had begun and lobby, bar and restearant were being rebuilt while we stayed there.
Lots of construction...
The location. Staff was very helpful
I wasn't happy to arrive and find out there was major remodernisation being done to the hotel. There was no facilities available due to this. Once this work is carried out I think it will be fantastic. However it was a disappointment for us.
The location was ideal for me. The hotel is undergoing renovation: when there the lobby was being worked on and the rooms are also being modernised. If ever in San Francisco I might check this hotel out again.
The lack of a coffee maker/tea in the room.
The location of the hotel was great as it is near many restaurants and shopping in Union Square. My room was a renovated suite so had ample room and was very comfortable.
When I made my booking I was not informed that they were undergoing a major renovation of the lobby and restaurant. I had requested an early check-in and when I arrived my room was not ready. This, in combination of having no lobby caused me to miss a critical conference call.
Easy access to the heart of San Francisco, transport was handy and plenty of bars and shopping
Abrupt staff to begin with but it was all fine as the stay progressed.
The location is great, very close to union square, cable car, other transport, shopping, dining etc. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and beautifully furnished. They also have a lovely step-out balcony. The staff were very friendly. Overall we were very happy with this hotel as a base for our San Francisco trip.
Our teenage daughters slept on a fold out sofa-bed that was horribly uncomfortable and well overdue for replacement. Unless you really don't like the person you're planning to put in the sofa-bed, I wouldn't recommend this sleeping option at all. It might be that we were unlucky and got an old one but check first prior to booking.
We booked a suite ("with a separate living area with a sofa bed") but they did not give us a suite - they gave us a large room with a sofa (not a sofa bed) and chairs with a small coffee table literally wedged between the end of the bed and the wall with the tv - by no stretch of the imagination is this a "separate" living area. The lighting was extremely dim and the bathroom was also cramped. I complained but they refused to modify the rate. We have stayed here during the holidays many times before but this is the last time. Also, they are remodeling and now have no restaurant or bar until the spring. Housekeeping did not clean our room until nearly 3 pm (we had left by 9:30 in the morning.
I liked the location and price. It was easily accessible to shopping and transportation.
The air conditioning unit was loud, and we could hear the outside noises too easily.
Good daytime location staff were very friendly
Street noise - but its a central location and it didnt spoil our trip
Good central location downtown. Pleasant staff. Nice décor in room. Wonderful number and location of electrical outlets.
Bathroom door didn't lock. Safe in closet not bolted down - could be carried off. Sink area open to bed area-disturbing if someone is still asleep. Only 1 bar of soap instead of one for shower and one for sink.
Location, Low Cost
No Air Conditioning!, Small, Sheets Cleanish, to didn't work and staff slow to fix
The staff are great. The staff are always great. I was shocked when I read reviews saying "rude staff." When we checked in/out the front desk staff were wonderful. Room service staff were fast and polite. Even the cleaning lady was really nice. We arrived late and were upgraded to a suite with separate living room and two bathrooms with free wifi at no charge. Everyone was very friendly and personable. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Top rate linens/pillows. The location is great. Two blocks to cable cars and a five minute walk to the subway and great food. It is so close to the subway we took the Bart from the airport for $8 a person. The Warwick has the best prices for that quality of a hotel in San Fran especially being so close to Union Square. It's quaint. It has an old fashion feel to it. It's a unique hotel.
The rooms do not have a/C. This is normally not a problem in San Fran. But our window faced Geary street. It was very loud. People were partying until 4 am every night; car music so loud the room vibrated, drunks were screaming in the street - so we had the choice of a hot stuffy room or noise keeping us from sleeping - which is a huge draw back from being so close to Union Square. We couldn't get to sleep at all until about 4 am when it all quieted down. This was my sixth visit to San Fran in four years and my fourth stay at the Warwick - so obviously we like the hotel. But this was he first time our window faced Geary street. It was horrible. A fan in the bedroom would have helped a lot.
Noise, no AC, old elevator, priced too high for the quality
