Score from 600 reviews Very good
location close to metro and restaurants, rooftop pool and bar, room and staff helpfulness.
It is being refurbished so I expect that was why it was such good value, though the works did not really impact on us. Both rooms did not have a safe and there was no alternative facility. Bathroom a bit cramped but adequate.
Location was good. The bell service staff was very helpful.
Rooms were old and outdated and didn't get cleaned well. There was construction going on in the hotel that was loud and disturbing... Furthermore the hotel did not tell me prior to my trip about the ongoing renovation and the noise it would cause.
Although I understand the hotel is undergoing renovation, the room I stayed was poor with stains on the ceiling and the bathroom. The carpeting of the room was unacceptable. If you are not prepared to close the hotel, at least reduce your rate.
Renovation all over the hotel.
The room and the situation
The staff and the breakfast (low level products)
Don't stay here unless you enjoy the "crack-house" vibe, worst hotel I've ever stayed in.
The roof top pool and bar. Did not feel like you were in DC.
They were doing construction at the hotel so it could be a lot of noise.
Located just a few steps from Metro. Clean, comfortable, quiet room. Very nice neighbourhood. Shops, restaurants & bars nearby. Breakfast included. Good value for money.
There had been a flood so clean up work was happening on my floor.
hotel is a little old and that makes it a little crampt and out dated. Having said that, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is just okay and location is super. Would stay there again just for the location.
Location was exceptional. I liked the rooftop pool.
The hotel was very understaffed. One person checked everyone in so it took a while. The hotel needs to be renovated which it will be this fall. The part of the hotel that I was in flooded and no one gave the guests any instructions about what to do. We packed and ran out just as the water rolled into the room. It was fend for yourself. After a lot of angry guests appeared, the manager finally showed up and helped locate guests in other hotels.
The roof top was really nice had a lovely a swimming pool and bar area. The breakfast was good lots to choose from.
We booked for 3 adults and when we got there we had one bed. They charged us extra for a camp bed. They added lots of extras on to the price we where told when booking.
Liked how easy it was to find and it's proximity to dupont circle. The rooftop pool and bar are a nice touch. The staff was friendly and breakfast was pretty good. The stay paid for itself! Area was quiet but close to all the action. Check out the bartender Rich for a great drink!
Bathroom didn't have a fan so theroom got humid when we showere. Check out was slow, either more staff or a quick check out box would help. A few plug outlets in the room didn't work.
I like the breakfast
TV screen is so small
The pool, the breakfast, the people on the front desk were lovely. The beds are comfortable.
Great location, centrally located and close to the subway. great for sightseeing. The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable. The roof top pool was amazing!
Noisy guests are my only complaint
The quality of this hotel was on par with a motel 6, Ramada inn, and other 2-3 star hotels. Curtains were ripped, ceiling had water stains and was drooping, wall paint was chipped, windows were dirty, etc. The "complimentary breakfast" was worse than the standard one at a place like Ramada inn. If it weren't for the fantastic location this hotel would be a run far and fast kind of bookings.
The location was perfect for being able to jump on the metro and get around the city. The breakfast was great - full buffet hot breakfast, just what was needed to get started for the day. The pool was also really nice to sit by in the sun
The check in staff didn't really explain breakfast to me so I ended up finding out about it by accident on my second morning there as there is no signage
Bed, shampoo, soap, towels, coffee maker
Sugar qty, TV picture quality,
The free breakfast.
The wait until 3:00 PM to check-in.
Vallet Parking friendliness Overall staff friendliness
High cost for parking ($45.00 plus taxes) Automaticlally charge Wi-fi to your room ($9.95 plus taxes)
rooftop pool and bar very nice
desperately needs updating
I loved the rooftop pool area. The complimentary breakfast was decent but could use more fruit and you had to ask for peanutbutter. The Metro is literally around the corner.
It took us a very long time to checkin. I think there should be two people at the front desk during prime hours. Also, for a small room, I paid way too much. I would have to look around for a better deal.
The hotel is in a quaint neighborhood right off of Dupont Circle within a few blocks from the Metro stop on the red line. It is in the midst of foreign embassies and close to The Phillips Collection, a very intimate art gallery with some nice Van Gogh's and a classic Renoir.
Too expensive, for the price that I paid I could get another Hotel in a better conditions and without paying for the parking extra cost.
