Score from 897 reviews Very good
This 4-star hotel is located at the top of Dupont Circle just minutes from the historical landmarks of Washington, D.C. It features stylish rooms and a 24-hour, fully equipped gym.
Score from 580 reviews Excellent
The staff were nice and responsive.
The hotel was being remodeled in a way that was quite disruptive. The lobby, bar, and restaurant were unavailable, and the elevators and hallways were dusty. This was not indicated anywhere online when I booked the room, and there was no discount offered despite the missing services.
refurb work going on - no gym woken early by workmen
Staff was very nice, room very clean and comfortable, location was excellent.
Manditory $9.95 PER DAY charge for phone and WiFi RIDICULOUS! SMOKE detectors disabled due to all the construction also ridiculous. No microwave, no fridge.
AC didn't work, entered room at a balmy 79 F (it's Dec. !). Opened windows, turned on AC, but the AC didn't do anything. Lobby all torn up, elevators used mostly by workman, waited about 5-10 min for elevator. Bathroom is crazy small. No breakfast.
The hole hotel is under construction - no holiday feeling possible. We haf no Water for nearly a hole day... catastrophic!
The disorder of the facility in construction; the very small size of the room; the necessity to pay extra for wifi.
The hotel was under renovation when i stayed there. The bad thing was that i was waken up by the sound of drillers on the morning i really needed to get some sleep. Also, they must have known that the hotel was going to be under renovation when i made the booking but they said nothing about it. They've sent me a notice about renovation after the room was already booked and paid for. Another bad thing was that i was charged $10 per day for the internet (hotel service fee) in addition to the price for the room, which i didn't know about when making a reservation.
Staff was always kind and polite. Location was great, very near to the subway station.
The wifi conection was really bad, even being paid!
I've gone lots of hotels but the worst hotel ever I went it this hotel, Very baaaaaaad Also they charge you more than 15% tax This hotel has a bad location Last thing the parking is very expensive You have to rent it I don't advise anyone to go to this hotel ever never ever ever
We were to have breakfast included with our room but they are doing renovations and do not have any facilities but don't offer anything in return.
I paid for breakfast but went there hotel under renovation They said sorry we don't offer breakfast There was no loby!!! Room too small ,tv so old and AC very annoying and cant sleep from the noise of the fan . Worst hotel ever!!
The metro is very close. Georgetown and the shopping area are close, a please for walking up there - P Street to Wisconsin Street and then to M Street.
The air conditioning extremely noisy. Cold air coming under the door.
The room was clean and comfortable and the localization near to the duppon circle metro station and nice restaurants was also very nice.
The hotel is being refurbished and we didnt have breakfast, lobby, fitness center, only the room. The hotel is dark at outside, its dificult to identify the hotel, we have to get inside by the garage.
The hotel is in the middle of a major renovation so there is a lot of noise during the day. The hotel needs some tender loving care. It's well used.
The rooms and beds are very comfortable, clean and good service each day by staff.
The renovation will end and the hotel will be better than ever. I was gone all day at a conference so no noisy concern for me.
close to metro.quiet neighborhood.
it is under construction and they work 24 hrs. creating noise all night. No other facilities open, only rooms in few floor. Workers walk all over the place and I felt no privacy.
Even though the hotel was undergoing construction, rooms were clean but the strengths stop there.
The staff was very incompetent and not helpful at all. This is the most stressful place I have ever stayed. From paying for our reservations to getting a taxi to the airport (even getting enough towels and coffee cups for our room) everything just seemed to confuse the staff. I will not be staying there ever again.
I realized (too late) that it was under renovation, so no amenities like an exercise room. But there were little chintzy things that were annoying, like no glasses or lotion in the bathroom.
Location, price, room not redecorated yet, but adequate
Under construction presents inconveniences, no glasses, extremely low toilet...from a Kindergarten? No breakfast as provided in past. No porters, Entrance not well marked.
Smoke alarm went off all night but they didn't do anything about it so we didn't sleep at all - great way to start the day
It was totally fine for the price.
I didn't like that a few weeks after we booked, we received an e-mail saying that the hotel was under construction and most of the facilities, including breakfast, were not available. There was no price discount despite the inconvenience.
luckily we found a good coffee shop on the next street over (P street)
We were not told that the hotel was under construction with minimal services. It was clean and the staff was nice but it was quite strange to have no lobby, cafe, bar, or front desk (we came in the back door) and workmen having priority of the elevators. The water was turned off for one of our days.
Staff was friendly and very understanding.
Renovations being done. It would have been better to have known in advance when reservation was booked. I ended up having to check out when city turned off water for 8 hours.
Noisy air conditioning and heating. The ground floor reception has been knocked out and the top floor in the renovation
After requesting a move away from the floor due to excessive noise from the renovations, the 7th floor was heaven.
No deduction on rates to account for major renovation including the withdrawal of "complimentary breakfast." No mention I any sight re the renovation.
