Score from 579 reviews Very good
hotel is a little old and that makes it a little crampt and out dated. Having said that, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is just okay and location is super. Would stay there again just for the location.
Liked how easy it was to find and it's proximity to dupont circle. The rooftop pool and bar are a nice touch. The staff was friendly and breakfast was pretty good. The stay paid for itself! Area was quiet but close to all the action. Check out the bartender Rich for a great drink!
Bathroom didn't have a fan so theroom got humid when we showere. Check out was slow, either more staff or a quick check out box would help. A few plug outlets in the room didn't work.
I like the breakfast
TV screen is so small
The pool, the breakfast, the people on the front desk were lovely. The beds are comfortable.
The quality of this hotel was on par with a motel 6, Ramada inn, and other 2-3 star hotels. Curtains were ripped, ceiling had water stains and was drooping, wall paint was chipped, windows were dirty, etc. The "complimentary breakfast" was worse than the standard one at a place like Ramada inn. If it weren't for the fantastic location this hotel would be a run far and fast kind of bookings.
Bed, shampoo, soap, towels, coffee maker
Sugar qty, TV picture quality,
The free breakfast.
The wait until 3:00 PM to check-in.
rooftop pool and bar very nice
desperately needs updating
The hotel is in a quaint neighborhood right off of Dupont Circle within a few blocks from the Metro stop on the red line. It is in the midst of foreign embassies and close to The Phillips Collection, a very intimate art gallery with some nice Van Gogh's and a classic Renoir.
Too expensive, for the price that I paid I could get another Hotel in a better conditions and without paying for the parking extra cost.
There was a mandatory fee of $9.95 per day, in addition to the cost of the room. This fee covered local and other phone calls (whether or not you used the phone), as well as wifi. Check-in took me over an hour. They seemed to be under-prepared to deal with a check-in rush (which was strange since this must happen daily). Not only did I wait in line for 30 minutes to be checked in, but after I made it to the front of the line, I was told I had to wait on the side for them to "sort out some things" with my reservation. So, 1 hour and 15 minutes later, I finally got in my room to drop off my bags.
cleanliness of the room, bed was comfortable, staff was relatively friendly, location near everything was great
Check in and check out both took over 20 minutes. There was only one staff member available each time. The hotel was old. A/C unit continuously woke me up throughout the night. Rooms were very small. Additionally, there was no mention anywhere of having to pay an additional $45 to park our vehicle at the hotel overnight. Absolutely ridiculous. Will not stay here again.
The bed was extremely comfortable.
He room was tiny and outdated. The only thing up to date was the radio.
Hidden fees, for example, parking fee and wifi fee.
Location was a plus Room was clean and spacious with beautiful views
Front desk service was slow and unapologetic. Staff generally not very friendly. Air conditioner not working effectively. Hidden fees for free wifi and long distance calling.
The staff was friendly and helpful, and there was a terrific Turkish restaurant right around the corner.
No mini fridge, the walls are very thin, and it was really expensive to park in the hotel garage. The shower spray didn't work well and the ceiling paint was peeling a little.
Close to metro line
Elevators where slow and scary ...valet parking was sub par
I could hear other guests very clearly when I was in my room. Must be very thin walls .....
I understand that the WiFi was charged to our rooms and we did not use the WiFi
Love location, close to restaurants and metro. Breakfast was great with good choices.
No real complaints. Was what we expected for price.
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, comfort of the hotel, location of the hotel.
Like that the hotel was close to many restaurants and was within walking distance of some attractions
I thought it was robbery for the price to park your car, which was $45 + tax daily at this hotel. This put a Big frown on our faces. We walked a block away to park in a parking lot that charged $19 for 12 hrs with no in/out of your car unless you paid $19 again for each entry.
We like the room, the roof top pool and lounge. The complementary breakfast, the location of the hotel that is near to a metro station. The hotel staff were very helpful and kind. We are planning to come back to Washington DC and stay in The Embassy Row Hotel, we certainly recommended to our friends and family.
One draw back is the slow elevators.
Location - was walking distance from some of the sites and very close to the metro
The price / the hotel was $1100 for 3 nights and let me tell you it was not worth it! The rooms were dirty and haggard, the towels were awful and the beds weren't the most comfortable. I have stayed better in London for cheaper. In my opinion it was simply daylight robbery. I would not recommend staying here.
