The free breakfast and fitness machines.
My room (313) was extremely small. It looked as if it was a larger room but was rehabbed to half it's size. I could see holes on the wall that were patched up poorly. The bed was against the wall and there was no desk or closet. Not worth the price of the room.
Nice roof terrace which was hardly used by residents. Staff excellent and seemed to go out of their way to help
breakfast was not kept re-filled
The location was perfect, great breakfast selection.
They were remodeling and the hallway floors were bare concrete, it was very dusty. Room should have been discounted to deal with that.
Of course the price was reasonable for the area.
The bottom of the bathroom door showed some wear. According to placard on the wall there was supposed to be an ice machine on the 5th floor but there was not. There was on the 3rd floor however and it worked good.
perfect location near subway, first class beds, very clean, nice and helpful staff
the price is much too high and the breakfast was rather ridiculous: hardly any choice of food and drinks (bread, bagels, butter, prefab cream cheese, prefab jam, prefab muffins, one juice, no eggs nor ham nor choice of cheeses ...watery coffee and tee) not enough space to sit, one way plastic plates, cups, spoons and knives like in a 50$ joint, elevators were not to trust (but there was construction work going on)
Good location Courteous staff
Doors have spaces underneath, so you hear everything going on in the hallways, adjoining rooms Elevator issues
Good continental breakfast
More expensive than I would have expected.
We arrived early to the hotel and they were very nice about holding our bags for the day. Our room was ready when we came back and despite the fact that they were going through a remodel- the only downside was a longer than usual wait at the elevator. Great location near metro and restaurants.
The seating was a little tight at breakfast- we could have used a few more tables.
Great position. Walking distance from Dupont Circle. Cleaned.
We couldn't sleep very well because of the noise in the room next to us. We complained with the staff but they didn't solve the problem. No windows in the bathroom.
The location was perfect though walking distance from DuPont Circle
They are doing rennovations so it was loud banging and construction during the day. They don't have room service or available water in the room. You're definitely on your own.
Helpful staff helping with bags etc Location is very good
Reception staff just incompetent. Key only programmed for two days not five. Took ages to check in, only one working, they only have two stations. Breakfast a laugh, 7am, but at 7.30 still putting out cereal etc, and no seats people were standing trying to eat. Business men in suits were complaining. I know they are renovating but could make more of an effort. Room not serviced one day. Also no glasses in room, asked for glasses for bathroom, was given wine glasses
there was no water for coffee
Good beds, very quiet, nice rooftop bar and pool. I'd stay there again in a minute. Great neighborhood with really good restaurants at walking distance. Half a block from the Metro.
Slow elevators. So-so breakfast.
Only the location
The 45.00 to park at the hotel that charged 169.00 a night! The noise from the elevators, the same elevators that only worked at night. Impossible to sleep through. We booked the rate with breakfast included, only to find it was continental and free to everyone! The staff, other than the night doorman, was unfriendly.
Location The bed was comfortable
The bathroom was not clean
the decor was pretty nice. service was prompt and good.
the furniture was not well arranged as there was no room to get between the desk chair and the bed. the elevator was showing its age as well.
The hotel is in a very good area. When I'm in D.C. I usually stay in DuPont circle. This was my first time staying at embassy row. Definitely an awesome place to be.
The rooms were not quite as updated as the hotel would have liked for then to be. The pictures certainly looked better. My room had an issue with the ac and when I called the front desk, I got attitude. The area for breakfast was not very accommodating. There is no girl convenience shop. Shine will be thrown off by the stairs you have to descend just to get into the building.
rude fron desk person need to check in at 11:00 and became dificult.
Perfect location, a lovely big bed and the general ambiance of both the hotel and the neighbourhood.
The breakfast included in room rate was much appreciated, however the lobby as a breakfast venue was too small and while seating included couches, there were not enough tables to place your food. I don't like eating off my lap.
The room had a great view, was quiet, and had a comfortable, clean bed. Bathroom was also very clean. The location is excellent! The metro is nearby as well as a number of different ethnic restaurants.
The free continental breakfast was a little awkward. There are no tables or chairs, so everyone sat on the couches and lounge chairs to eat in their lap. It would be nice to have regular dining tables and chairs set up for guests.
Location to Metro
Lobby smells like the bilge of a ship.
The room was very comfortable and the location was great.
The hotel needs updating, although it looks like that is scheduled. The register by the pool wasn't working so we weren't able to get drinks or food by the pool, so we didn't enjoy the pool at all and it was a lovely weekend. That was very disappointing.
Great location, very safe area and close to public transport. Surrounded by cafes and restaurants.
Undergoing some renovation while I was there. I'd love to see it when it's finished as what I saw was promising. AC was *extremely* loud.
breakfast in plastic cups and paper plates???? lack of room service sleeping with the smell of glue due to re-carpeting.
