Score from 913 reviews Very good
The value for money is outstanding; I believe this is the best you could get in DC for the price. The hotel does look old, but the location is excellent (metro just across the bridge). Breakfast is simple but filling.
A bit worn out.
Very comfortable bed Good choice for breakfast although should also provide some fruit/yoghurt as too many bread options Friendly and helpful front desk staff Good location with many restaurants only 5 mins away in both directions Close proximity to metro Clean, safe neighbourhood
Rooms dark as windows very dirty All wood in room - doors/skirting boards needs painting as makes rooms look very drab
Bathroom very clean, towels and shower good, fridge in room, decent breakfast (continental)
Mattresses were past time for replacement, room too hot and couldn't completely turn off the heat, blinds broken
My stay at the Windsor Park Hotel was wonderful. No complaints! :)
No complaints at all
The location is a few blocks from Dupont Circle metro, and plenty of restaurant options nearby. We visited the lovely Phillip's Collection a few blocks away. The first night they gave a us a larger suite on the 5th floor with a great view. But then switched to a smaller room in rear. Smaller but very quiet and cozy. The rooms were clean and cozy. The morning breakfast and coffee was convenient and great.
But were awoken in the morning at 6 am with major construction going on across the street. So I asked to switch to room in the back of the hotel. We were switched to a smaller room in the rear. Seems like updating of furniture and mattresses needed. The hair dryer in the second room was falling apart. Some repainting of walls could be needed.
It was located well for my needs. It inluded breakfast and it cover basic needs fo a traveller. The room is spacious enough for one person.
The window was facing a wall, but it did not disturbe as I did not stay in the totel during the day time. A bed end should be fixed.
location is pretty good, not too far to walk to metrorail-station, from where you are in the center very quick. surrounding of hotel is nice and safe. rooms were clean and maid did a good job.
the beds were so old that you noticed each steel-spring in your back. space to sit down for breakfast ist almost not there. owning a hotel in DC is obviously a money-printing machine... you don't have to invest a single buck for years an can earn a couple of thousand bucks per night. this hotel is perfect in doing that. but - hey- this is the law of supply and demand....
very high speed wifi, very close to the conference hotel. Spacious for two.
no bottles of water, no coffee maker.
The staff was nice to deal with
Staff was courteous. Pricing was fairly reasonable for the area. Not too far from metro.
Caved-in bed was uncomfortable, and the frame was squeaky. Also, I had noisy neighbors.
The experience was "fine" - nothing special to speak of, but decent value for a reasonable price. Rooms had plenty of space, internet connection was reliable, and the room had a small fridge. The front desk offered to move me to a new room on the second night, which was better.
The room I had on the first night was on the first floor, and felt a little stuffy because the window opened to a small alleyway. The second night I stayed on the 3rd floor which was much nicer.
Bed very comfortable
I liked that the associates went out of their way to try and help me with directions, were caring about why i was in town (for rare diseases legislation input), and that the room was clean.
I really didn't like not having a personal mini coffee maker in my room or that i could not obtain coffee until 6:30 am. I need coffee first thing in the morning and a small 4 cup coffee maker or even a coffee vending machine dispenser or curig type of machine in the vending area would have made it perfect!!
Hotel was clean, no issues with the wifi. TV had HBO
the room was so dark it was impossible to tell night from day. There was static electricity all over the place and one the lights didn't work
If you're looking for a NO frills, warm, safe place to sleep and shower, this place is fine. There was no visible dirt. The staff is friendly and helpful. Although, there are no smoking signs everywhere, you could clearly smell cigarettes in the halls and in the room.
Wifi is fast
Location is not good. Breakfast is all about bread and cookies, we need eggs and sausage! Room is very cold and the window cannot be opened. The room is dark all day. Sales machine had no water...
There is a small kitchen on the first floor, you got hot water conveniently. And the location is very good!
Noisy guests in room next door-paper thin walls.
I stayed at the Windsor Park while attending a conference in one of the large hotels near the Woodley Park metro. The proximity of the hotel to the conference hotel was very good, and I appreciated the low key atmosphere and relative quiet of the hotel. Although the breakfast was basic, it was appreciated.
The furnishings and rugs are a bit tired.
The hotel is close to bus stops and metro: in less than 30 minutes you can reach the city center. It is clean, and it is not expensive. It is a good choice for a short stay in Washington.
No restaurant in the hotel.
The staff The location My room
The decoration of the stairs (it was a bit sad), and the view I had during my journey (I had a view to the neighbour though I was supposed to get a view to the city...
Usually I go only to 4 or 5 Stars hotels, this time I thought why not try a 2 Stars Hotel. I am really impressed, I dont see a big difference, it is really nice and I would definetly come back.
