Location and good valie
Wifi poor in our room.
Cheap room rate, great location, room was quiet.
Old hotel, furniture and decor is old and worn down. Rooms are small, bathrooms even smaller due to old floorplan design. Creaky floors. Old blinds and curtains. But, it's cheap! What do you expect? Will stay again.
Location is excellent, 10 minutes walking from Dupont Circle and the lively Adam's Morgan neighborhood. Very good wifi, cable. Room was spacious, good closet spacE.
There are two sets of stairs, first to get into the building and then to the elevator. I had two heavy suitcases and no staff volunteered to help me get them up. The hallway smelled like someone had been smoking. Finally, breakfast was disappointing, I don't eat wheat and the only options were bread, danish and muffins. I asked if they had fruit, yogurt or eggs, but they were not accommodating and I had to go grab breakfast somewhere else.
This hotel is within a 15 minute walk from Dupont circle and is significantly less expensive than many of the hotels there. It is in a lovely quiet area and is clean and efficiently run. Currently, there is some construction going on near the hotel but it did not seem to cause much noise or inconvenience.
The sound proofing is not great so you can sometimes hear your neighbors above you.
Value for money (on 50% reduction in normal price)
Limited breakfast made up almost entirely of wheat-based products. Impossible to eat there if you have food allergies. It was a bit cold in the rooms (very old heating system)
Room was too small, no complimentary drinking water, when you are in your room you hear the voices and footsteps in other room
The breakfast buffet was horrendous. It was basically just a small room with very little space and a few seats. The breakfast items were very limited and of low quality.
Great location. They upgraded my reservation to a nice suite! Great and friendly staff. Great value for money. It is a charming old hotel.
No fresh fruits or eggs for breakfast.
The staff was helpful and very polite. The maid service was excellent. We enjoyed our stay and will book again.
We had to keep changing our WiFi from 2nd floor to 1st floor to get a better signal. The continental breakfast room was too small. Parking was a huge problem.
great breakfast, working and meeting area, nice staff and good price.
some noises from the other room.
The restroom was very narrow
Room was very satisfactory and very clean. I was there in 10 degree weather and the hotel was a warm and cozy place to be when the outside was below freezing. Location felt safe but was 15-20 minute walk (for a 70-year old) to Metro station so other visitors should be aware of that. All in all, a good experience.
Would have liked a hook in the bathroom to hang a robe and perhaps a small coffeemaker.
We were upgraded to a suite of rooms without requesting so we had lots of room. The staff were very helpful. A bit of a walk across the bridge to the metro but once there very easy access to all sights of interest. Overall ed xx Ellen value for money.
The beds were a bit soft for.me but otherwise nothing.
Though not a luxury establishment, the hotel is very much ok. Clean, no problems, good wifi, and not far from Dupont Circle. I'd stay there again and would recommend it
The location is great. 10 min walk to Dupont circle. The price is inexpensive given this location.
It was a great price for the location, and the gentlemen at the front desk were very courteous and professional.
Great hotel and excellent location!!!
Hotel near by all the monuments and restaurants, very nice personnel, very quiet to sleep, tv and wifi in the room
Good wifi - there are multiple networks so the service actually covers the hotel rooms. The Marriot is just about a 10 minute walk across the bridge as are some pretty good places to eat.
The room didn't feel terribly clean and there was a half drunk can of ice tea next to the bed when I arrived. Everything is a 10 minute walk away- There is nothing except houses and apartments surrounding this place.
I liked the friendliness of the staff, the room was clean and when taking a shower the bathtub drained freely.
The very small elevator.
