Failed to check on parking availability. None available and difficult to find public parking at night after arrival.
Quiet, off the main thoroughfare

The neighborhood was fabulous.

No hotel-specific parking and the nearby garage is $16 a day (in May of 2015), so add that into your budget. Some street parking but don't count on it. Might be better to fly in and count on walking or using public transportation.
Loved the location -- Georgetown is beautiful, has lots of places to eat a short walk away, and the buses make the trip to the Metro a breeze. Not a lot of flourishes, but a good place for the money, with easy access to all the Washington attractions.

Price and location. Most of my meetings were at the Omni Shoreham and the Marriott Wardman

I managed to double book myself for part of my stay - and I managed to get some of it refunded. That is very kind of the hotel (and I am grateful to booking-com for making it happen)
It had what I need: no-frills and comfortable - good location

This could be a great hotel with a little investment and care. Rooms weren't clean (tissues and empty bottles under the bed), old windows that let in the sound of AC vents and lumpy, uncomfortable beds. Beds are the biggest problem, after all that's the point of the place. In need of updating.
Kalorama neighborhood is one of the best in the city , central without the noise. Great for strolling or gawking at the Embassy's.

I did not like the fact that I had to walk over the bridge to get to the hotel. I totally was not expecting that since directions only indicated 12 minutes walk. It took much longer than that once I found I had to cross a bridge.
Location Neighborhood Access to public transportation and shopping area. Once we decide not to go back over the bridge, we found that the location was not so bad. The bus stop was just 5 minutes away. As well as entertainment.

Breakfast very humble, mostly sweet things.
Very comfortable beds, great after a long day with a lot of walking, quiet enough, although the walls are a bit thin and you can hear your neighbors speaking at times. WiFi signal good enough, great location close (walking distance) to important landmarks, cure neighborhood.

If you don't mind a walk of about half a mile to get to the Metro, this place is a very good value. Continental breakfast was abundant if starchy, staff was friendly and helpful and the room was surprisingly big for a boutique hotel in a major metro area. Tip: Rock Creek Park and great casual dining and small-market options are just across a long bridge with a beautiful view.

Tried to cancel 10 minutes after booking online. Penalty was over 90% of full cost so we couldn't really cancel. Mattress had zippered plastic cover on it so we sweated all night. Had to sleep on our towels. Noisy--could hear all the plumbing all night in rooms around us. Last morning, hot water broke so no shower before flight home. The manager didn't even acknowledge the inconvenience to us.

Parking extremely difficult. I really missed the kitchen sink but I knew that going in. No nearby regular grocery store. Interesting location. Very secure by the embassies.

I wish it were a little closer to a Metro station, although it's a lovely walk over a bridge above a park. I couldn't get the wifi to work, but didn't try very hard - and there were computers available downstairs.
The courteous staff helped us check in when the Bookings.com booking hadn't been sent through (!) And they kept our luggage after check-out before our train ride home. The continental breakfast is decent- with overflow seating in the business center.

Seemed very used not filthy but didn't seem clean clean. Breakfast was weak maybe mix in some fruit some hot and cold ceral not just pastries and bread
Location to tram staff friendly

(1) Horrible, dumpy interior: very old & dirty with no renovations done for probably 20 years; noisy rooms & terrible, old mattresses, carpets, bathrooms, etc; (2) Grossly overpriced: By check-out time, I paid $199 US per night. A complete rip-off!
(1) Great location in a lovely neighbourhood with international ambassadors' residences nearby; plus 2 metro stations, tourist sites & conveniences within easy walking distance. (2) Continental breakfast fine: baked goods, bagels, cold cereal, hot & cold beverages. (3) Helpful staff.
April 26, 2015
Close to where I needed to be. Friendly staff. They went out of their way to be helpful. Continental breakfast saved valuable time. Top of my list for my next trip to DC.
April 26, 2015
Really needed paint, new black out window coverings and carpet. Bathrooms were good
The price was very good and only 10 to 15 minutes to the metro
April 26, 2015
The wifi wasn't great. But I have my own portable hot spot so that is never the biggest problem. While I loved this location, many travelers that don't walk as much as I do may find this a bit off the beaten path. It's a several minute walk to the nearest Red Line, Metro Station.
The staff was very friendly. The neighborhood is lovely. The hotel is in the middle of many Embassies. There were several Starbucks and good selection of restaurants nearby. I'd stay at this location again.
April 25, 2015
Hotel was far from public transportation and far from attractions and restaurants which meant expensive taxis were needed. Early morning trip to White House meant fighting for cab during rush hour.

Room was clean, towels fluffy. The staff very friendly. In room refrigerator was handy.
April 21, 2015
My mate said that the cabinet behind the mirror was rusty all-over, but I never bothered to check
I liked the bed, bathroom was clean, Wi-Fi didn't give me problems
April 20, 2015
Breakfast could be improved with fresh fruit and eggs.
Close to major conference hotel. Free computers in lobby. Staff very nice. Felt safe. Breakfast a plus. Near Safeway. Microwave, fridge, good bed and lots of TV channels.
April 19, 2015
Out dated infrastructure, ratty looking old carpets. Poorly soundproofed and doors slammed loudly. Free breakfast consisted of baked goods and cereal, no protien or fruit.
Rooms were clean and bug free, good natural lighting. Staff was friendly but not pushy, hotel was far enough away from downtown to avoid late night noise but close enough to walk tto metro station.
April 18, 2015
HVAC inflexibility. It's either heat during fall and winter, or AC during spring and summer. It so happened that it was cool during the April 13 week that I was there, and wanted to warm up the bathroom in the morning, but there was no heating available.
Location and friendliness of the staff

All is well!
The hotel's very affordable room price and location being near the subway, beautiful room, hearty breakfast served and friendly staff all made our trip in D.C. a very memorable pleasant one!
