Score from 860 reviews Good
no coffe or tea available before breakfast - water was there but no cups or teabags, problematic if you wake up jetlagged at 4am.
Could have used soem new paint on the walls.
Hotel was 5 minutes from the bus stop which got you close to most attractions, and a 15-20 min walk to the train station Dupont Circle. We were a family of 4 with a corner room with 2 double beds in one room and a sofa which accomodated 2 in the next room. It was very generous and spacious! Breakfast was good but some yoghurt and fresh fruit would have been a nice addition. The fridge was great.
The TV was old and we could only get Wifi in the TV/sofa, not the main bedroom. The bathroom was a bit tight for space.
Lack of parking
A cute hotel. Comfortable beds. The Internet is fine.
A bit dated. Needs some modernizing. Not enough seats in the breakfast area, and the breakfast itself is quite basic. The breakfast hours are 6:30 to 9:00 on weekdays, which is just brutal (we're on vacation, people!) 10-15 minute walk to the nearest metro station.
great stuff good breakfast everything is working and clean
Very quiet area good location
Must improve their brekfast
There is always someone at the front desk 24 hours a day. Not only were they friendly , but also very helpful ,with any questions about D.C. . Short walk to the Metro station . I found it very nice ,quiet ,smaller hotel . I would consider staying again and recommend others to stay also .
Wi-fi was hard to pick up signal. No seating in living room--only a trundle bed. No counter space in bathroom
Location great, free wi-fi and simple but adequate continental breakfast, good value for money if location is important.
Old building with low budget renovation, no in-room coffee, no laundry service or nearby laundromat.
Location, location, location
A bit dated. Air conditioning not the best. Bathroom layout very tight, especially the sink.
location budget friendly free wifi
not much places to eat breakfast limited breakfast
Location for the price was excellent, train is close by and very easy to walk to, area around hotel was very safe and many places to eat shop, would definitely would stay there again
Hotel was a little outdated, wifi was at a minimum,
Decor was old
I really enjoyed the quality of the staff. I found them to be very helpful, friendly and professional. The hotel was clean and had an historic charm to it. The morning continental breakfast was sufficient for my needs.
The fabric decor was dated to the late 80s or early 90s. It would have been nice to see this either match the era of the building or have a modern twist.
- breakfast was good - staff was nice and helpful - room was comfortable
- we weren't able to turn off the air conditioning at night so it was very cold - TV dosn't work
Desk staff were pleasant and generally helpful. Breakfast was dull, but acceptable. Towels were very nice, as was shower.
Room supplies were an issue: had to ask for ice bucket liner, had to ask for toilet tissue, and no tissues. Bathroom had no place for toiletries and needed hook behind door.
Nice, friendly staff
We got dark room for the first night, but they gave us other one for the second
We were able to walk to a trolley stop and several restaurants. Beautiful embassies on the street. Breakfast was simple but included so no complaints. Room was older but larger than expected and very quiet. Interior doors did not close but that did not bother me. Small fridge, no microwave or coffee maker.
WIFI was awful. Kept dropping signal. I had to work and literally had to sit in front of the room door to get a signal that worked consistently.
Nice neighbourhood. Close to restaurants, supermarket, bus route to down town. Hotel was old but had as nice atmosphere. Breakfast was a plus.
A bit more fruit at breakfast would be nice.
Good location, nice area
Old furnishing, broken mattresses, window looks out on a concrete chute, wet.
People thare so good and good price
Construction across street Such a challenge with parking, having get up early morn to move car
Proximately to metro bus & trains
Small room size, poor mattress quality, no ventilation in bathroom old fixtures throughout. had to ask for additional pillows and towels which were poor quality. would not return to this hotel
location and price were good, nice breakfast
room was small windows were dirty, some areas had a musty smell
