Location Value for money Staff Cleanliness Toilet facilities
Noise (heating and outside room too) Hot (got really hot in the room and there's no adjust) Short bed tied to a desk, which makes it a hot uncomfortable for a 6'4" (1,94m) person.
Close to attractions place and restaurants and grocery shop
Great location everything within walking distance. Very clean, staff very friendly and helpful everything you would want at a reasonable price. Definitely would stay again.
5 minutes to Times Square.
Old room and furniture.
The hotel is in a fantastic location, 5 minute walk to Time Square and 2 minute walk from numerous restaurants.
it is near subway, very quiet
room smells is not good
Very nice staff, helpful with getting around. Charming, historical feel. Great location!! It was close to everything we needed.
The room was laughably small! The queen bed literally took up half the room. But, if you don't plan on spending much time in the room, it does the job. Also, be prepared to bundle up, as the only heat is from a tiny radiator.
Location is great!
Staff were great and when informed of the shower water drama gave free upgrade for next time.
Heat was way too hot. Radiators were on overtime. Shower was way too cold.
friendliness helpfulness of staff hotel clean and cosy did get a little too warm the room at night but after being out in sub zero temps all day im not complaining
Nothing at all
Location staff cleanliness of hotel
Not a thing
The location is great, especially considering the price. It is truly a boutique hotel so the rooms are small but have nice furnishings and decent beds (though firm). We spent practically no time in the room except to sleep so it was perfect for us. Also, the staff was very attentive and friendly.
Like many boutiques it is in an old building which comes with some issues including some level of noise from building systems (In our room anyway) and hallways/adjoining rooms. There is also the possibility of some issues with building systems. Our radiator wasn't working in our room when we got back for the night but the hotel staff fixed the issue straight away.
The location is great, walking distance to the main spots and sights. The beds and bathrooms are clean and the hotel as a whole has a pleasant environment.
The front desk does not seem used to people from other countries, so I arrived and instead of a welcome the clerk just started saying the rules of the hotel. In the first two nights there were too much noise in the hallway during all night and morning, so it was difficult to sleep. I complained to one of the clerks, but she said she couldn`t do anything, but another one took the initiative and changed me to another room. The room was nice, but the water in the shower took too long to drain.
location great but still quiet chic and retro great staff and price
'retro' elevator basic double room tiny, no room for luggage! no tea/coffee in larger room wifi inconsistent
Comfortable beds, great staff. GREAT location, and reasonable for Manhattan. Loved the shampoo, soaps as well! Close to the Subway, and many good restaurants, theatres. We WILL stay here again!
Nothing. My elderly mother and aunt were wishing for a coffee maker in the room or coffee in the lobby :-).
Position Comfortable beds Good price
Not having access to room service and coffee. No restaurant
Hotel was a perfect location, ideal for Broadway shows, Times Square , Shopping areas & only a short walk from Central Park. As for the rooms , although rather "compact" in size they still met all our needs & the beds & linen were unbelievably comfortable & luxurious . Furthermore ,the staff were most helpful & eager to please plus the general cleanliness of accommodation was most impressive .
Everything considered & especially the good value for money the hotel offered , it's difficult to find any real faults. At a push , slight problem with accessing Wi-Fi & smallish room size could be only criticism's I could offer .
The location was great!
I did not like that the pictures appeared to be deceiving. The pictures online definitely did not make the room seem like it was shoebox sized.
Very comfortable clean room, close to everything we planned. Never heard a taxi horn or siren, great linens, shower, and room service from Cosmic diner.
We got home and checked prices for a trip in May, and the rate had more than doubled. I guess we just hit a great time for prices post-holidays.
Location was excellent! Comfortable beds, nice cozy room, heaters were great! Service was great and staff very helpful! Recommend this place and Id definitely stay here again.
The location of this hotel is ideal. A few blocks from time square and a block away from Hell's Kitchen, but still hidden away from all the crowds and chaos of the city. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are nice and have everything you need, full length mirror included which was a plus. We were eligible for early checkin. When we checked out early they gladly held our bags in the front so we could do some more exploring around the city and called us a cab when we were ready to go.
The lobby bathroom needs some tlc.
Good location, friendly staff
Even just for 2 people room, bathroom very small... No central A/C, so room temperature couldn't be changed. We had to sleep with the window open, street was so noise, we could not get a good night sleep... Overall I would say that hotel should be called a motel and only have one diamond...
Room very hot when we got in!
Great location in proximity to Times Square.
The bed was rock-hard. There was no box spring. It was literally a mattress on top of a stand with a piece of wood on top of it.
Staff were fantastic, very helpful
The rooms felt like a prison cell. So small which u kinda expect in NY but they had no character or charM at all, the beds were like sleeping on concrete.
