rooms have been updated with much more modern furniture, I stayed there before when it was the Washington Motel. Huge Improvement. still under construction, but still a great stay.
on weekends a younger crowd stay here & are constant in & out causing noise throughout the whole night. my room was 119, which is right next to the main entrance to the rear building. that was a mistake.
Not much; not terribly dirty or smelly, but not great either!
Fridge and drawers still contained crap from previous ppl; flat pillows, called for more, none available; bathroom extremely tight! Stairs to 2nd/3rd floors not standard
huge wall mounted tv....king bed....no smoke odors.
doors slamming at 7:00am.
I liked the amenities
The check out time was too early
Relative location to Eagle Rider Motorcycles - about 300 yards away. Reception was pleasant and helpful.
It is an old facility under renovation. No elevator to 3rd floor room. Hallways at the lower levels were dirty. Under renovation is not in the listing for this hotel.
Renovated room all looks new.
Hotel layout is weird, dirty towels on the hallways, no privacy curtains, no hair dryer and shampoo for the price, hotel cancelled my reservation even if i notify that i will be arriving late, hairs on the bed.
I liked having a small refrigerator and microwave in the room! The room was clean comfortable.
I did not like having a room where a previous tenant had smoked. I would prefer a room that smoking was not allowed. The blanket on the queen bed I used (there were 2 queen beds in the room) had several holes in it from where someone had previously smoked in bed. I found them when I pulled back the bedspread. Other than that it was a comfortable room.
Tried to give us a room we had not booked, a smoking room when it clearly said no smoking on the booking. Bed sheets where dirty, underwear left in bed, bath towels dirty along with all this the tried to charge £10 more than what's it was booked for
Here for a Montclair workshop. The Staff was not helpful. The rooms were not clean upon arrival. Stayed 7 nights without working wifi to do my work from home. Last two nights there was rats in the rooms. the worse hotel stay ever. Never again
It was great. Not so far from the airport. Silent night, big tv and bed, good wifi.
Pay the extra money and go somewhere else. Trust me.
I loved the remodeling on the inside. Our room was a great size and very comfortable.
The outside construction was a turn off.
the big bed, the tv,
the dirty thin towels, the way too firm bed, the smell of the hallway, there was supposed to be continental breakfast but there wasn't, the pasta on the hallway steps, there was no ice bucket or machine, we went to get ice and they gave us ice in a plastic bag
The location was fairly good. Room sacrifices luxury for low prices, which is just perfect for a lone traveler backpacking through the area with very little money. Service was good.
Well, the towels I was issued were definitely old. They had stains you can only see when help up to the light. There also wasn't really much of a view but it is motel so that is forgiven.
The room was clean and efficient
The room next to me had the tv blasting all night. Thank god for my a/c unit drowning some of it out
first and foremost it's not the Washington motel any more...its called the rodway inn. Its a small motel in belleville NJ ran by an indian family, the mother is the manger and the father is the housekeeper (go figures). when i arrived the were RE-invotaing the place, the rooms had an ODD new room smell but everything was clean and well made. flat screen in the room. your own fridg. big comfy bed and nice AC that blow cold air 24/7. new bathroom too, clean towels. the bus stop is 30sec away. Walgreens infront of the motel.
TINY stairs. (wont fit normal sized adult). Shaddy neighbours and neighbourhood. tiny barking in the back (15 cars parling lot that always have 6-8 spaces taken by other ppl). PRICEY for a tiny room in middle of nowhere. (mine was 206$ for two nights). oh, the housekeeper was a non-english speaking and that made matters worse. the hotel "manger" (the older lady) took two day holiday on sunday and monday jun 22 and 23rd and no boss was around....?
Very nice and clean.
The room was pretty nice, newer building. There is an older building too on the lot.
All hotels are too expensive and this is no exception
extremely extremely rude and unfriendly staff and filthy rooms full of stench
Motel isn't called the Washington but the Rode way Inn. Tiny parking lot in rear. Parking on street seemed wiser and safer for vehicle. Desk clerks which included manager couldn't clear paper jam error after paper removed and refused to follow my simple direction. They couldn't make copy of my id. 1st thing noticed upon enetering room, FLAT pillows. Turned back cover to find hair in bed and stained sheet. Carpet stained between bed and bathroom. Cheap furniture and window view was another unappealing house like building. Spent about 3 minutes watching a guy thru peephole try to get into my room until he finally knocked. Room #s WERE on doors. Took unpacked bags to car and noticed that window drapes were see thru. Attempted to return card key but clerk refused to let me leave, even after she explained my above gripes to manager by phone. Informed her I was leaving anyway and to not charge my card. Of course this week I discovered they charged me for a room in which I did not stay.
Cigarette butts on the floor burn marks on sheets burned match sticks in the bathroom and I'm not as smoker housekeeping only made one bed for our seccond night
