Our room was very comfortable and clean. We felt the breakfast was average but did not like having to use plastic cutlery & dishes - a toaster for the bagels would have been good. |

Location was excellant, spent very little time in actual hotel, breakfast was great, never got to try bar as the one night we got back around 11.30pm planning to have nite cap it was closed. Because of ac units in windows and our room was on second floor we could hear traffic outside because of windows not sealed, after one night we got used to city sounds and traffic |

The location is second to none in Manhattan. Quiet, situated next to Washington Square Park and just a minutes walk from numerous bars and restaurants plus all the shopping in the world. The subway is located on the same block too. Ideal. |

this is my favourite New York City hotel; it combines a great location (village) with reasonable cost and welcoming staff. |

The location of the hotel. The pillows ! I would request a room in the back next time as it was noisy. |

The room was comfortable and the hotel is near the subway and in a good location. Could hear guests above me and in the room next door bumping around. |

Quaint and comfortable - ideal location for our visit. The twin mattress in Room 407 nearest the door needs to be replaced. It has a definite 'bowl' in the middle which makes it tough to get comfy. |

I hated this hotel. When I checked in my room was freezing. I was told that unless the temperature goes below 50 degrees outside it is not heated. The temperature was 47 degrees outside but the radiators were still freezing cold. I slept with layers on and all the covers plus my winter coat on top of the covers. And there was a very distracting noise that happened every 45 seconds that I could not identify, but combined with the coldness it made for a very poor nights sleep. Also although it was Tuesday night the clock had not been set back the one hour when we went off daylight savings. I checked out the next morning and moved to another hotel. I travel a lot and it may have been my worst hotel experience ever. Maybe that it was across from a great restaurant Babbo. |

The fantastic location and the friendly and helpful hotel staff. We also had a great night at the restaurant. The mattress! it was very soft and lumpy and sagged in the middle - I woke up with a sore back every morning (this has never happened to me before - I am not fussy about mattresses). There is no point having lovely cotton linen when you can't get a decent night's sleep because of a horrible mattress. Also, although the room was at the back of the hotel, it was very noisey - I think the noise was the main hotel air conditioning unit (we didn't ever turn on the air conditioning unit in the room). |

I liked everything about the hotel: check in and check out times gave one enough time to get there and pack at ease in the morning. The restaurant is excellent: some of the best food I've eaten for a long time. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Will use again when I stay in New York They do not have any access to the Internet |

Location first night there was a noise that kept us up all night. They did, however, move us to another room and it was quiet |

Good central position to access both the city and Greenwich Village. Certainly excellent for accessing every NYC area relatively quickly and within walking distance to good restaurants and jazz clubs. |

The location was perfect. The size and quality of the room was great for the price. The walls between rooms are very thin. You can hear other people's conversations in the next room. So you need to hope you have quiet neighbours. |
