The location was the key, right by Washington Square and NYU. Breakfast was adequate. Staff were a mixed bag , some great some okay. It was very quiet and we didnt hear anything at night time even though we were right beside the door to stairs to the lobby. Liked that we could store our bags on the last day before our flight. Also there didnt seem to be the pressure to tip everybody there every 5seconds like in other hotels in the US. Was refreshing. The only thing is that the bathroom wasnt very clean. We looked at 1 room before choosing another becuase there was a slightly musty odour in the first one we got, They didnt mind too much about switching us. |

Fantastic location. Room was clean and in good condition. Service was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay at the Washington Square on my next visit to NY. It would have been nice to have drink making facilities in the room. |

Location. The village, soho and 6th ave. for subway to uptown all real close. quiet area. sleep was easy to come by....breakfast included, not easy to find at many NYC hotels. A bit pricey but enjoyable none the less. Bed. comfortable and big enough for 2, room not so, tight to move around in. |

The hotel is in an excellent area. You have a subway 2 minutes walk from the front door that will have you up town in 10 minutes or down town in 5 minutes. The staff are incredibly helpful in pointing out what's open etc, for example we set out on the Tuesday morning to go to the Museum of Modern Art and the chap on the door (I didn't catch his name unfortunately) told us that it was actually closed that day. He also told us all the places to eat etc near by. The breakfast is ample to get you started on your day. The rooms are very clean and well maintained everyday. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from Bleeker St which is a super night spot! We would definitely stay here when we return to New York! |

Front desk and lobby staff very friendly and helpful. Room had adequate space; funky use of tile in the bathroom (floor tile on walls). Clean. Continental breakfast was pretty good. Convenient to subway entrance (1/2 block). One small elevator - slow to arrive during am hours. Semi-circular troweled plaster patterns on the walls in the hallways was meant to be decorative, but looked a little cheap and rough. Our mattress was not all that comfortable (tolerable for 2 nights). |

Our room was very comfortable and clean. We felt the breakfast was average but did not like having to use plastic cutlery & dishes - a toaster for the bagels would have been good. |

Location was excellant, spent very little time in actual hotel, breakfast was great, never got to try bar as the one night we got back around 11.30pm planning to have nite cap it was closed. Because of ac units in windows and our room was on second floor we could hear traffic outside because of windows not sealed, after one night we got used to city sounds and traffic |

The location is second to none in Manhattan. Quiet, situated next to Washington Square Park and just a minutes walk from numerous bars and restaurants plus all the shopping in the world. The subway is located on the same block too. Ideal. |
