Staff was friendly and accomodating; continental breakfast was great light fare. First room had been freshly painted that day and smelled. They switched us the next night, but we never should have been put there in the first place. |

I found my room uncomfortable. The room was small without the possibility of using internet. Fresh air a problem. |

Location is very good. Breakfasts good. Room comfortable. Internet access good. Online booking was very difficult. Business credit card rejected twice, gave personal credit card number on understanding that payment would not be deducted until I arrived at hotel. In fact payment was taken from that credit card on the day I gave the details. Consequently could not use business credit card to pay for stay. Was charged over $10 for call I made to own cell phone in room when trying to locate it, ie only connected for 1 second. Ground floor cafe was not open at advertised opening times. North Square Bar was unbearably noisy (loud music). No room service or tea/coffee facilities in room. |

Clean, comfortable bed and room, great location, proximity to subway and Greenwich Village. Street noise in the morning made it difficult to sleep in after a late arrival. |

The happy concierge in the day time was the only nice thing I can think of. The fact that we couldnt be understood by the large group of waiters continually (we speak perfect normal English) they clearly do not and it was very very frustrating! The cooked breakfast (which was extra cost) we had to send back twice and didnt taste fresh at all so didnt bother the following 2 days. When I did self serve next morning, I stood at the entrance where it says, wait to be seated, for ages and was ignored by the waiters even though they kept walking passed me, no clean tables either. All in all this hotel is very overpriced for the quality and service that you get, or didn't in our case. We chose a hotel for the social atmosphere but there isnt anywhere to go other than the dark room which felt prison like. |

Exceptionally clean, very comfortable beds, convenient location, excellent continental breakfast, staff was friendly, helpful and available. Easy correct booking on internet. Enjoyed our brief stay. Mobile internet wifi not accessable from room. No access for heat control. Temperature in room was too high and required opening a window on a very cold day. |

There was a major problem with the room we were shown to, i.e., the window was broken? and it was freezing. When I called down, we were given a new room quickly and politely. Why we were sent to the first room, which we were told the managment knew of the problem, in the first place, I do not know. But I was happy with how the situation was handled. Pleasant breakfast sitation. Small room. |

The location is ideal and a breakfast is included, which you can grab in a "pack" if you are in a rush. Even though I got a Deluxe room on the 8th floor, it was very noisy (thin windows) and beds are not for tall people. |

The breakfast was superb with excellent staff. Good options for the continental and off the menu breakfast. We arrived early and were offered a breakfast while we waited which was very generous. |

Great location and excellent restaurant staff The lobby staff were polite, but only helpful if pushed. I was trying to find out if UN building would be open and there was a real reluctance to help. I also needed to call a 1800 number and the payphone was broken, but there was a reluctance to dial the number for me and connect it to a lobby phone without me pushing for it. I don't think either of these requests were unreasonable |

Its a nice hotel and as the name suggests its right on the corner of Washington Square. Its only one block from 4th st subway which makes it great for visiting new york - we had a great stay over new years. If you want an international chain hotel then go elsewhere but if you are looking for a boutique hotel at a reasonable price then stay here - you even yet a free breakfast - there aren't many places in new york that offer that!!! Its a bit of a maze to find your room but once you get your bearings its fine! |

The location is good because it is quieter and not so busy as near the city. In the summer - this would be a lovely location as it is near Washington Square park and there are lots of trees and quaint restaurants and its accessible to 5th Avenue. There was never any hot water - this ran out early in the day. Do not stay on the ground floor - the rooms are very noisy as people have to pass your rooms to get to the restaurant and lounge and the floors are tile - so you get woken up very early in the morning and can be kept awake late at night! We were warned about the noise but we arrived very early in the morning and were very tired and check-in was estimated at 4 - 5 hours so we took the chance - next time we will wait for another room. |
