The location was great and the staff that greeted us in the lobby felt like family even gave us recipes.
Off the wagon pub happy hour half price drinks fab. Italian restaurant in square (on corner ) was brilliant small friendly service fab place to eat went twice so good can't remember the name. 9/11 museum was very thought provoking spent 4 hours there. A must for any visitor to New York
Only down thing was taxi that hotel booked for are return journey back to airport was too small had to have luggage on my knee and DRIVER didn't know way to airport
The location is great for visiting NYU or the village. Right next to the park. They had the greatest doorman I have ever encountered! Full of enthusiasm an information and help. Extremely good restautant at the hotel.
Breakfast that comes free was mediocre. Rooms are very small but adequate. Was along a somewhat noisey hallway on first floor but it was okay.
continental breakfast convenient and great
Staff and location

Location, athmosphere,food In restaurant, staff
No heating In the new furbished bathroom
Great location. Room was comfortable.
The bar staff could have been more responsive. They were ok. Should have been better.
Les chambres sont assez petites
Wifi access seemed to be intermittent and had difficulty reconnecting after coming back into room. Most wifi systems immediately recognise an earlier login. This one doesn't.
Very good staff and great location to explore village area
small rooms no chairs
Everything, especially location. Have stayed there several time.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. We were nicely greeted each and every time we were in the lobby. The continental breakfast was a life saver. The location is excellent. The value was great too
We found the rooms to be very small and the closet space limiting. Knowing that going in, one can prepare for it. The good thing is that on our NY trips, we don't really use the rooms other than to sleep, shower and re-group before heading back out. So it was fine.
As an international visitor I found the hotel had a very nice atmosphere, helpful staff, good wifi, and terrific location, very good both on foot and with easy access to a lot of subway lines.
The room was a trifle noisy and overheated at night, and unfortunately I visited in a popular time of year, so prices were higher than usual. But I would recommend it, especially if visiting NYU.
The hotel is very convenient for accessing all parts of Manhatten especially by subway which is a 2min walk away from the hotel. Staff very friendly. Room clean and comfortable, lovely decor. Would definitely stay again.
There was a package sent to us to pick up on arrival. It was only given to us when we asked for it the next morning. However, there was clearly a note on the system as we were asked if we'd received it when we checked out. Perhaps there could be a more efficient way of ensuring the receptionist is made aware of any post awaiting visitors.
This was our first time to New York & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was very nice, the staff had even put a bottle of birthday wine in our room for our arrival for my partners birthday. Coffee machine, bath robes & toiletries were a nice touch. Beds really comfy, lovely big bathroom & shower. Pretty much everything you could need as a base for your trip. Really good location for the park & surrounding Greenwich village area & only a stones throw from west 4th subway station to connect you to the rest of the city. I read many reviews about rooms being small but I can honestly say our room was more than suitable & staff were all really friendly & helpful. We will most definitely return on our next visit...we loved it so much we actually hope to return next year.
Not really negatives but....Breakfast selection wasn't exactly great. However, you did have a choice for waitress (plus additional menu at extra cost) or buffet service & most mornings we only wanted to grab a quick juice & croissant on our way out anyway...time is precious here. Room rate is rather high for a 3star hotel....but this NYC!
The hotel is in an excellent central location, from which we walked all points of the compass. Staff were friendly, and the maid service to our room was excellent. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good, if a little limited in choice. The gym was also good.
Our room felt a little bit small and cramped, and the bathroom rated only as 'adequate'. One day we had a cold shower because they were changing over boilers, but otherwise hot water was constant. Despite having a comfortable bed, we didn't sleep very well due to a lot of noise from the street. This was mainly vehicles on nearby 6th Avenue, but also a lot of shouting from students in Washington Square.
Nice location, friendly staff, small but clean rooms. I would come back.
A bit pricey
The location was so convenient, the doorman as well as the cleaning lady were lovely - friendly and helpful and very polite.
I wish the staff at reception were a bit more welcoming and helpful. The battery on my door was low so my keycard wouldn't work. I had to go downstairs and asked to be let into my room by the staff - three different times and I had to explain the situation to staff all three times. I had hoped they would make it a priority to fix but they didn't. Some urgency and care would have made it a much better stay.
The reception Staff was not very polite.
Good location and comfortable room
The service from staff at breakfast was average to poor
My favorite New York hotel in almost every way.
But the wifi service should be upgraded.
the location the room with the newly renovated shower the bar
Small, friendly, with a warm atmosphere and helpful staff. And great location.
The "room with a view" that cost a bit more, was disappointing. Small side windows with a view for those with flexible necks.
Nice by park Like East Village
Greenwich village getting tacky - too many touts for comedy clubs, Cafe Wha over rated.
This is a pretty little hotel in Greenwich Village - a change from the madness of Midtown.
