Washington Square Hotel  

Great location for most NYsights and the area peaceful but close to nice bars when you want them. Walked most of the time but close to the subway if you don't want to walk. Staff were allvery friendly and helpful. Having breakfast included was a bonus. Would stay again and recommend to others.

Tiny room and high price -- but this is more because of location than anything else. At night it started raining and the rain made a VERY VERY LOUD noise on the window-mounted A/C. We stuck a towel out there to dampen the sound and it worked.

Charming European type hotel - although the rooms are small the friendly knowledgable staff, the included continental breakfast, reasonalbe fee for garage and excellent location to all of Manhattan and the subway stop make it a hotel we will rebook!

The staff was friendly and helpful, the room comfortable and well-equipped (even with an umbrella), the restaurant (where I brought friends for dinner) wonderful! The location was perfect; I could walk to the events I had to attend. I'll be back!

The value was excellent. The included breakfast was excellent. For that reason alone I would return. The rooms were good, clean and fine for a two or three night stay. Great location. The staff was very nice and helpful This is my second or third time at the hotel and I feel like they updated the decor in the room slightly. I would stay again. Thank you

Location was ideal, staff were great especially the guy who works in the entrance hall during the day. I've stayed at the hotel several times now and he's been there for the last few years (sorry dont know his name).

It was close to excellent restaurants, easy access to the subways, and a park near-by.

Breakfast wasn't available until 7:30.

Great location. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Concierge/Doorman extremely helpful in offering suggestions for sights and things to do, places to visit, restaurants. Our hotel room was spacious and well maintained and had a view of the street and of Washington Square Park

The first room that we had booked (and checked in to) was a small, interior room, with windows facing a brick wall. We requested a change and in the end received a great room.

Excellent location, nice views of the park, staff were friendly and it was great that they left copies of Time Out and other shopping guides in the room. Also appreciated the free wifi.

Room was quite small and got really hot in the morning.

Clever use of space, distinctive and thoughtful decor, location, excellent staff, good breakfast, pleasant bar, clean room, non-chain feel, slightly quirky yet very convenient. In-room coffee, iron, hairdryer, and umbrella (!), as well as robes. User-friendly bathroom with quality hand cream, hair stuff, and shoe stuff, intelligent laundry policy letting us use our towels more than once. Quiet (in our room, at least) and thick walls prevented hearing other guests.

A couple of the women at the front desk were less than friendly..

the staff was helpful and available for questions about where to eat and where to find nearby parking and directions and even gave us an umbrella to use and stored our luggage ...very accomodating

excellent value for money - very friendly staff - complementary breakfast is a big plus (and much better than 3 yrs ago) - location in excellent area, not too busy, and lots of restaurant opportunities - very close to subway (3 min) to bring you everywhere if walking is too tiresome
