Location, kitchen, space!
When I tried to 'check in' -I thought this was a hotel, on Booking.com it was absolutely unclear that it wasn't- I had difficulties as the concierge was clueless and not helpful. Took me 30' or so to sort things out, not great after a 14 hour flight!
Directions and address should be clearer. There are 2 Watermark buildings and the address didn't match either. Unless you know where to go it is quite confusing.
I enjoyed the stay at the Watermark Cambridge. The concierge service was very welcoming and made my stay much smoother.
I did not appreciate not having a key to my room for over an hour and a half. Having to call the company back repeatedly instead of having them call you to let you know what's going on. Then the DVD player didn't work. I was told by the rep. not to expect everything to work in the rooms if not specifically asked for. And that since it was such a great price, I should be happy. When I brought the issues up it was made to all be my fault. But that was booking with Northeast Suite.

Parking too expensive
Pros: 1. Very good location, about 5 min walking to subway station, there are liquor store, several restaurants located in the same building and nearby, paid parking garage is in the same building (separate entrance) with reasonable rate. 2. The aparment unit we stayed is huge, it's very comforatble and it feels like home. The kitchen has almost all of the appliances, they even have wine glasses and wine opener (2 thumbs up! ). I would think this place is the most ideal for the people who travel longer and they want to stay in a place where they can actually do some cooking and don't feel like living in a hotel. They even have washer and dryer 2 in one machine in your unit. 3. Very quiet, the sound isolation is very good. 4. The concierge is very helpful and very polite.
Cons: 1. As soon as I checked in, I found out one of the light bulb in the living room was not working, I called service line, I think the service line represent all of the different properties this company manage, so they said they would have to take my number and have someone called me back, but there was never someone returning my call. I stayed in a living room with only 1 light bulb working for 2 night. This is not something urgent, but I was a bit disappointed that they have never returned my phone call. 2. Our room equipped with Queen Size bed, it was a lit small for 2 ppl, I would probably suggest you book King size bed room if you could if you are traveling as couple. 3. Unlike hotel room that has maid coming to clean up your room everyday, there was no house keeping during our stay, if you are a really messy people then you might want to consider to stay at hotel.
Very nice to have a furnished 1br apt in a good location; great views and decor. All the amenities of home. Great to know it could be available for as short as a night or two, or as long as months(+).
This is very minor: for a quick trip (check-in/check-out/how to leave the apt re: cleanliness,garbage), it takes a little getting used to that it's an apartment and not a hotel. My experience was very good, though.
Being able to enjoy all of Boston without being to far away from all activities
Confusion over where to leave the keys at the end of your stay. We were in appropriately charged for lost keys even though we had handed them to the concierge. After a few email conversations we have had our money refunded but it did spoil what was a lovely apartment and a great place to stay

I got there in the morning and the front desk had no information on me, the unit where I was supposed to be or the keys. I had to provide them with the number of management company myself. Although we had the unit number there we no keys, yet. I came back at 5PM, and there were no keys nor any info on where they should be. The front desk person speculated that maybe there were inside the unit and gave me a spare key. Yes, they were in there probably all along. Had I known that, I could have saved a lot of my time tracking the key and perhaps even occupied the unit when I first arrived.

Well located for access to the city and universities. Plenty of room and good views. Apartment vs hotel meant no direct WiFi, but free computers in shared lobby.
Need to remove rubbbish before leaving, but rubbish disposal does not support early checkout as can only be used after 7am.
Good. Environment. Friendly atmosphere
This is a beautiful facility in a convenient location near everything - MIT, BU, transit, Downtown. The concierge staff was beyond top notch - courteous, welcoming, and helpful. The apartment was immaculate, very comfortable, roomy, and fully furnished.
My only complaint was that, despite being provided with two coffee makers, there were no coffee mugs! Big problem first thing in the morning.

Our specific apt. needs some updating, it was tired-mattress esp. Towels were moderate View could be improved w/ different apt. My sister and I made it work, and we enjoyed the time spent!
Much more privacy and quietness than in a hotel and much cheaper.
