It is everything one would expect, no surprises. Very nice stay. No issues. Very nice staff.
No a/c, but there was a fan in the room so that helped. It is an old building, so you expect it to be somewhat rustic.
Large porches, spacious grounds.
No a/c, shared bath.
Staff was great Breakfast was ok
rooms are very old, I know it was an expensive location but 250.00 is kinda high for such an old Hotel. The couple next to us talked so loud you would think they were in our room with us.
The period nature of the hotel, we booked a room with shared facilities but the bathrooms and showers were very clean and also quite. We were happy not having an en suite next to the room. the room was small but was in keeping with its period features.
No air conditioning in the room which made it a little hot.
very good restaurant, nice pool and balcony area, bathrooms are very clean,
The hotel is very clean and organized. There is a continental breakfast included in the rate and it is okay. It is a good option to spend the night inside de park.
No wifi, even in the lobby. It is a problem because there is no mobile signal in the park. So, you are not able to access internet any way. No private bathrooms. Although the localization is convenient, in my opinion the rate is too expensive for a hotel that neither offer wifi nor a private bathroom.
Warm welcome. Wonderful building that makes you feel relaxed instantly. Sitting on the veranda sipping cocktails watching the sunset was a wonderful experience. Restaurant was very good with excellent service and a good choice of well presented food. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
Nothing. You have to be prepared to wait for shower but that is made clear at the time you book.
Charming hotel in an amazing location.
Tranquillity and return to a calmer age. Delicious food. We had charming front room of Little White , former hotel manager's family home, so could sit on front verandha as if owned the place!
Knew we had shared bathroom but didn't think it would be across the lawn! However they were kept very clean and added to old school charm- literally like being back at school! Three rooms in Little White were only divided by the original internal doors so no secrets between neighbours.
nice quaint old hotel and a good location,
having to walk outside to a shared bathroom, no air conditioning
The location is ideal near Mariposa Grove in a quiet part of the park. It was wonderful to relax on the huge porch with a cocktail after a day of hiking. I like the age and history of the hotel.
the shared bath facilites were as good as possible. This is a place to enjoy the hotels beautiful common spaces, not to hang out in your room.
"Free breakfast" was very basic indeed Very poor value Shared facilities Staff slow and not really willing to go out of their way
We loved how nice it was to stay in the park; the pioneer atmosphere; the food
Slow service at the restaurant
The rooms were clean. They are small but you don't want to spend much time in them anyway. Shared bathrooms were very clean and never crowded. The grounds and surrounding of the hotel are amazing
the hotel restaurant is expensive but service was good. Food choices are underwhelming.
In the park and very relaxing
No bathroom or shower in room
Location amazing, staff really friendly and helpful, food in the restaurant tasty, room basic but everything you needed, bathrooms separate due to the nature of the property but this was just part of the adventure.
The grounds. Dining room staff member Jill was particularly kind and helpful. Robin at reception was helpful once we arrived.
Bathrooms, rest rooms, fussy decor - keeping the old ambience is good but it can be sharpened up to give a cleaner, smarter aspect. Reception staff were noisy, bossy and generally unpleasant. All this could be caused by the stressful method of booking a room. Definitely needs some amendment for guest satisfaction and possibly staff demeanor.
History of hotel.
Bathroom way down the hall.
The location and the cleanliness.
Small suffocating room; no T.V., no fridge, no microwave, no wifi in the room, no bathroom in the room.
The outside of the building is stunning and the restrooms, showers good too. Location is good if you want to visit those areas of interest outside of the yosemite valley.
The restaurant was disgusting. Was not clean, plates piled up, staff not organised or professional. The prices for dinner are very high and the food absolutely appalling, we travelled to quite a few places in california and ate out every night and this was by far the worst we had. The bed was uncomfortable too. You have to queue up for breakfast in the morning which is just crazy! This hotel was the most expensive we booked for our road trip and was the the only one where we had cause to complain. I did mention at check out about my disappointment about dinner and got a sorry and so surprised to hear that as everyone has raved about it..... so not taken seriously at all. Very disappointing. Would not recommend.
Genuine historic hotel with a feel of the pioneer days. Good food
.room on the small side with a lack of clothes hanging room. But only slept in room as location demanded exploration
The food was excellent.
The shower got cold when I took it.
Our original booking was shared bathroom, on checking in we were able to change this to a king room with ensuite, perfect. A great place, quiet and we enjoyed relaxing outside on our verandah.
Location, golf course, convivial atmosphere
The menu in the dining room.
Location, beautiful setting, great food and service, clean
"shared" bathrooms meant shared group bathrooms. Would have booked private bath had we known the shared ones were group.
