When the pilot was turned on for heat, I had to leave the room. I thought I was going to vomit. The smell of what ever they use for heat had me gagging. Thankfully, it was not too cold that night (in the 30's) so we turned it off. I'll never stay there in the winter.
Reasonably close to the event
Heavy smoking had been done in this unit. I do not smoke. Don't recall there being an option mentioned. Smoking should not be permitted at all in rooms period.
Clean, Staff was friendly and accomodating,
Bed was somewhat uncomfortable, no tub, only shower stall.
Good price, friendly staff, basic rooms, close to good restaurant (old forge) with good beer and wings
Centrally located, clean, friendly and informative staff, excellent TV. Excellent for just sleeping and visiting the area or a function.
Rooms a bit small for long term visits...
Affordable Clean Simple Friendly Owner & Staff Location Decently Quiet Daily Cleaning Service
Small TV Channel Selection No WiFi
Used coffee bag not removed from coffee maker
location; seats out front
noisy shower drip; queen sheet on a king bed; flat pillows; soft mattress; price relative to the value
It was quiet and distant from the road.
I requested a "non smoking room. The room reeked of tobacco, as did the bedding and bathroom. There were no tissues, a Mr, Coffee machine, in the box unopened , appeared on a bench outside the entry door(what stellar effort ),the entry door had an unsecured wobbly 9 inch high wide one step platform as an entry., dangerous entry. (Illegal, and a huge invite for falling and lawsuit)Despite being a free-standing cabin, it had only one window and we were provide one towel, until we requested another. How do you say rip-off and what a dump!
The owner was pleasant and willing to let me see another room if I did not like the one assigned. I didn't realize the bedspread was stained until pulling cover down at bedtime. It was okay but not having decent towels to dry off with and no coffee offered for morning.
Bedspread stained. Room was cleaned with some type cleanser that smelled when we checked in. The bathroom floor did not seem to dry even though we were there overnight..
Was convenient to location of relatives in area and place to stay after family event. Price right for purpose and 1 night need.
Bare bones motel with little frills. Keep expectaions low and you will find ok.
Location was perfect for our trip. It was very clean, the staff was present and helpful as needed, but left us alone. It's small and quaint and a good value compared to the other options we looked at before booking. They were ready for us in all capacities when we got there.
The rooms are a little small, but that didn't affect us on this trip. The mini-frig was set on minimal setting in one room and off in the other, so the drinks we put in weren't as cold as we would've liked until we realized what happened and changed the setting ourselves. They went into one of our rooms to shut off the AC while we were gone. They had already cleaned our room earlier, so there wasn't a good reason to enter our room and of course the room wasn't cooled off when we got back.
The owners and management were pleasant. The location was convenient. Mini fridge. Air conditioning. New tv.
Requested non-smoking but the room smelled like smoke. The bed felt like a trampoline. Maybe it was the lingering smoke smell, but the room could have felt cleaner.
Simple clean affordable place
Location was perfect for my needs
The owner was rude and short with me during check-in
For a motel that was on the main drag, it was very quiet. The room was clean and well-maintained.
It seems like the owner has this motel as a side job. The office door was locked when we got there and had to stand in the hot sun after we rang the bell and waited for her to answer the door. The only lamp in the room did not work and I asked for it to be repaired. I saw her make a phone call when we left to go out but when we came back later that evening the lamp still did not work. The television also did not work--as much as we tried to change the channel on the cable box, it remained at the same channel.
Comfortable bed. Good value.
Bathroom door squeaked - needed WD-40. Hair dryer did not work.
The room was very clean. I love the location. It was priced right also.
I didnt like they don't have a coffee pot in the room.
The grounds and units are well maintained. Even though the motel is on the main road, you didn't hear many traffic sounds. The interior has been refurbished and our room was very clean. The motel is near to restaurants and recreational areas, so it was easy to plan trips to nearby sites. It's a really good value for the money.
Everything was quite nice. When we came back to our room early and had no towels in the bathroom, the owner stopped by with fresh towels before we could even call. They do a very nice job!
The price was great.
There was no hair dryer or coffee maker in the room.
Value for money. Location is convenient both for winter and summer activities. It is clean by the standards of similar establishments.
No effort whatsoever by the owners to deal with the slippery ice even right outside the rooms. Thus, every outing was dangerous.
Location Charming clean older facility
No coffee maker or alarm clock
Very clean, & convenient to everywhere we had to go. Loved waking up to the view of the Berkshire Mtns!
Landline phones gone as well as no small coffeemaker anymore. Sink was a little plugged.
Great location . Very clean. Pleasant staff . Will use again.
Good location comfortable bed clean room
Motel was overbooked and I was asked to take a different type of room than what I'd reserved. There was no coffee maker, as advertised
