Location was excellent within 8 blocks of Rockefeller Center and within 10 blocks of Time Square. Hotel located on 7th ave - Time Square on 7th ave. Very reasonably price. We were on the 15th floor and the room was too hot. The heater temperature couldn't be adjusted. We left all windows open throughtout the night. But despite the heat issue, I would still stay here again because of the location and price. |

The location is very convenient. The Greek restaurant was surprisingly good and the breakfast cafe was adequate. The plumbing was functional. The window shade would not pull down; the movie channels did not work; and the heat would not turn off. The alarm setting on the clock refused to turn off. |

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was great. The heater in the room was difficult to regulate. No hooks or racks to hang anything in the bathroom. |

Good central position, friendly staff, warm and comfortable especially when cold outside. No utensils provided with microwave and fridge facilities. Gift shop facilities useful but staff offhand - is this typical of New York? Would have liked some advice on places to visit given time, location and weather conditions but staff not approachable on this. |

The hotel was ideally located for a short visit to New York City. It was well heated and everything worked. The room was "tired" and in need of redecoration, particularly the bathroom: there the taps were losse and the wall cabinet was in poor shape. We found it difficult to control the heating. |

The location of hotel is excellent. Staff, especially porters, helpful and excellent. Rooms kept spotless each day. Rooms small although I understand lots of rooms in hotels in new york are small. Bed small also. It might have been nice to have a kettle and tea/coffee facilities in the room. |

Location was great and staff was very helpful The heating/cooling system was practically inoperable during my stay and the room was almost constantly too hot or too cold. I was told they did not turn on the heat until the room temperature went down to 55 degrees. Really? |

I was very disappointed with the hotel, our reserved room was given away , we were placed in standard very dirty room for one night then upgarded to a suite, again a very substandard room promoted as having a kitchen, one that had no utensils. This hotel is very old, need major renovations. However the saving grace was that the staff were polite and helpful. see notes above, this hotel was promoted on the net as a 4 star!!! I asked the staff they said it was a 3 star, I agree |

It was close to where we wanted to be and had a restaurant, even though we didn't use it. Elevators were small. As a result during the morning rush to go down, you had to get on an elevator and ride it to the top (23 floors) to be assured you could get on to go down in a timely manner. |

When you can step outside the door of a hotel and see central pk to your right and time sq to your left you know you stayed in the right place, staff very helpfull. Room position is important, I dont expect a great view in a standard room in a city hotel, but having a very large ducting unit o/s of your window which made the sound of a gale blowing all night along with some very strange and quite loud clanking noises was not great. (Room 1226) |

Location of the hotel is perfect, close to central park and in the middle of Manhattan. Very old hotel, no airconditioning (at least not in our room) and the elevator is really, really slow! |

Location in Theatre District only a few blocks from Times Square and a few blocks from Central Park was fantastic - able to explore a lot locally. 57th Street subway immediately outside was great for exploring the rest of the city without stress. Park Diner downstairs was a great, authentic New York diner open at 6am with friendly staff and great value food. Lovely Art Deco, twenties feel to the Lobby area. Friendly and helpful Bell-hops. Room was very small and could hear toilets flushing in neighbouring room. Elevators very stuffy and claustrophobic at busy times. |
