Location and value. Comfortable room.
Very noisy machinery in courtyard all night. Internet slow.
Location is excellent. Staff helpful and after a plumbing issue we were given a newly renovated room that was very comfortable.
Noisy heater that came on during sleep hours and repeated on the hour.
After reading a lot of reviews about New York hotels before booking, we were surprised of how excellent this hotel was! We booked a suite as we were three friends. The two bedrooms suite with a fridge and a microwave was excellent. The mattress of the king bed was excellent. Very clean spacy and warm bedrooms and bathroom. The location was the best. We went on foot to Times square, Central park, Rockefeller center, Broadway theater, Metropolitan opera. The metro station just outside the hotel was convenient to many hot destinations. The staff was always polite and helpful. We paid 3 $ for 30 min wifi.
The mattress of the sofa bed on the second room was not so good. Kitchen facilities were poor but did not mind us as we usually had yogurt, fruits and sandwiches as breakfast. We paid $15 each for breakfast at the coffee shop at the hotel (just for a day), which didn't like (junk food- although recommended if you like to have typical american breakfast in a typical american coffee shop as showing in movies).
Staff were very helpful, Hotel was nice but old. We got upgraded once we arrived and the bed could have fit 3!! Plus we had a living room on the other side with a little kitchenette. Finally the sleep was great because the windows held out a lot more noise than we expected. Would stay there again for the same price and location.
There were little pieces in the room that would be an easy fix (eg. Covers for power sockets). Also there were very little amenities in the room, we forgot our tooth brushes and the hotel weren't able to supply some for us. For us we're trying to blog our way through the US and the wifi was $4.99 an hour....
Location was excellent. The staff were very helpful.
the rooms where way to small it was out dated the bathroom shower was horrible couldn't take a comfortable shower without the water changing temperature on its own
Best customer service in New York city. Great Locatin. if i hv to go to new york city my first choice will be Wellington Hotel.
Location, subway is so near. Good restaurant.
Noisy bedrooms. There is an older part of the hotel where the rooms are noisier and look old. I requested a change and the new bedroom was better, nicer, more comfortable and modern.
The hotel was in easy walking to Central Park and Times Square, as well as being located immediately next to a subway entrance. The room was small, but that's to be expected in New York.
The Wifi was not free and was charged by the hour, but there is a Starbucks with free Wifi directly across the street, so we went and got coffees and used the Wifi there when we needed it.
We were without luggage due to a problem with the airline - the staff were not helpful in trying to resolve not interested Room was way too hot - it seemed to have hot water pipes running through the wall in a corner making it boiling and the window didn't open. Suffocating to be in there.
Location was good, warm room, some of the staff were nice
Radiator heater was very loud, spots on carpet, walls, sofa, no overhead lighting much, mostly lamps
Very central position. Friendly & helpful staff - they needed to be, given the problems of the 100-year-old building and it's systems.
Room temperature was like a sauna and we had no temperature control. I turned the AC on to try & cool the room and was told by an hotel engineer this was not permissible. Slept with window open & even that didn't bring the room temperature down. Another engineer turned the room heating off, but even this didn't work. Was told all rooms were like this. Toilet kept blocking up - again, a common problem for this hotel according to staff. Bath drain also blocked. Lack of space in the room
close to everything and very clean there was a lot of noise during the night
Hall were too narrow
Exvellente service, very friendly staff, awesome location!!!
The location was great. Breakfast at the Park Cafe was good--fresh orange juice! The beds were comfortable. The staff was helpful.
The room was small, which I should have expected. The water pressure in the shower was somewhat weak. The TV, while flat screen, had only analog channels. We were not able to lower the heat setting, nor did we complain about it. I don't mean to complain. We enjoyed our stay at The Wellington.
Bathroom very old. Fixture old handles about to fall off. Hot water not hot
location efficient staff spacious room
no free wifi cranking sound coming out from the ventilation under the window during night time lift too small
Hotel was very clean and centrally located to Times Square and Central Park. Rooms were very large and comfortable. The water pressure from the shower was awesome!
When we arrived their computers were down. After hours of flying and waiting in airport's all day we were looking forward to a hot shower amd nice dinner. When we arrived at the hotel we were unable to check in until 8pm.
The location was perfect for us, seemed to be just small walk to everything
The kitchen didn't have cups, spoons or any basic cutlery. Unless you bought dinner set kitchen couldn't be used.
Very helpful staff, comfortable rooms, excellent location. This is my new place to stay when in Manhattan.
Great location Got an awesome deal for one night Valet parking but good money
The heat was on full blast and couldn't find a way to control it. Needs updating
Spacious room,handy location
Heating was broken and wouldn't turn off and had obviously been on for a long time, room was worse than a sauna
Location is amazing, staff couldn't do enough for you, reception staff, door man, porters, cleaners all lovely and friendly. One of the most nicest beds I have slept in. Overall brilliant stay, would only go back to the Wellington.
That we couldn't stay longer
Great location. Quiet.
Bed uncomfortable and sheets were really wrinkled. It looked as if they were not changed. Didnt like that you had to pay for wifi.
Great location within walking distance to some locations Starbucks right across street
Bed uncomfortable Internet signal for Ipad horrible inside hotel Cable out half the time we were in room Noisy heater sounded like it was going to come alive!
