Room to small. No safes in rooms.
Look one way and you see central park and look the other and your practically in time square. We loved our stay here great value for money. Heating was amazing and beds were very comfortable. Cleanness was spot on also.
Only few downsides if I have to have some would be a little dated deco, some tv stations didn't have good signal and that you have to pay for Wifi. But when you're in the NYC those are un needed extras
Location and price
The hotel was filthy. There was chocolate on the radiator, mold all over the shower, and it smelled horrible. The shower scolded us several times to where we could not even stand it and could not get clean. The blow dryer was broken, there was no fridge, no shower caps, no laundry bag, and no normal other amenities you would find at any other hotel. Worst experience ever, & I would not recommend it to anybody.
Fantastic location and great staff.
Recetionist were nice to kindly make me change the room, but the problem was not solved. Good location
Super small rooms, very old style. Bed and bathroom not clean. Super old moquette on the floor.
Location and helpful staff
No coffee facilities in room but available from downstairs restaurant
we asked for a quiet room, they placed us in the 4th floor (first or second with rooms) in the main street. So noisy it was difficult to sleep
Rooms were clean and location is great
The room's heating was not working and instead the AC was on. This all with freezing outside temperatures. So it was quite unpleasant until the heating got fixed
Great location and modestly priced. Although a very old hotel the bedrooms and en-suite were adequate and clean. New decoration would make a great difference to the look of the hotel.
The heat in my bedroom was overpowering and very noisy. I had asked for rooms higher but was unable to get these. I had no view whatsoever looked out unto another building. My friend's room on the other hand was freezing and although a quiet area of the hotel was asked for it was situated at the front and very noisy during the night. A kettle in the room would have been an acceptable addition.
I liked nothing!
The staff in one word is horrivle so rude, i dont know where to begin and end i was very dissatisfied!
wifi too expensive
Great hotel. Great location. Clean. And friendly.
Friendly staff. Great location. Excellent coffee shop. Come back place!
Location-wise is very close to most Manhattan attractions, and close to Hell's Kitchen where you can go to cheaper restaurants. The bed was very comfortable! Overall, good value for money.
Excellent location for a visit to Manhattan. The hotel is a little old fashioned but none the worse for that.
The arrangements for paid WiFi are archaic.
very good location - Times sq is 10 min walk; parking facilities - I paid 35$/24hrs for my van. Reception desk and service stuff are very friendly and helpful. Overall, recommend to everyone.
- very poor free wi-fi((.. We didn't buy an Internet pack, didn't really need even because we spent whole day outside. well, I bought a travel pack before going travelling. - window view. i don't think it was the busiest season of the year, mid January, xmas time already ended up)... we looked at noisy air ventilators (so, it wasn't so quiet during nights) - however, fair for that price. - breakfast not served - however, you can easily order to yr room ( 15-20$) or eat somewhere - mln of restos)).
Location and staff are good.
price is high for hotel that needs upgrading.
The bed was super comfy
Heating could not be controlled from the room, the temp of shower was not consistant also there were hairs on the towels and the floor in the bathroom. It was cheap so it didn bother us as we were out all day and most of the evenings.
Location, nice staff
Expensive wifi, also some sounds from the streets
The location is excellent. The rooms are comfortable, though the heating is hard to control. It's often too hot or too cold. The rooms are old-fashioned but sufficiently clean.
We were very poorly treated by a staff member upon our arrival. Afterwards, our impressions of the staff improved, but we'd give it an "okay" only. Still in the first night, we had to be moved to a different (and better) room, free of charges, after hearing rats in the plumbing and inside our heater. We didn't find any inside, but the noise they made was rather disturbing. Because it was addressed, we are forgiving of this problem, since we're aware the issue is not uncommon in old buildings in NYC, and the hotel staff response was efficient. Still, it made a poor first impression. Also of note, the wi-fi signal was terrible in our first days, which is unacceptable for a paid service. Upon our signed complaint, we were given free wi-fi by the hotel staff for the remainder of our stay, but still limited to one device per guest. When most people travel these days with their phones and tablets, we've found this to be a very negative point. We wouldn't consider returning until internet access is unrestricted to all guests.
