Score from 1162 reviews Very good
Need to pay for wi fi
locality to time square and central park and eating place within the hotel room was very spacious
Location that is all this terrible place is good for
Was told there was no heater because the outside temp wasn't low enough despite the room being freezing, unfriendly staff, bugs in the shower, dirty bathroom, very noisy room due to being next to the stairs and elevator, overpriced. So disappointed
Easy check-in. We were given a room on the 24th floor, which was an improvement from last year when we stayed on a lower floor. We thought there was a facelift. Room also had walk-in closet, very useful. Friendly enough guys at the door. We like the Wellington location and security.
everything was good this time
The hotel is a perfect location, clean, comfortable and helpful friendly staff. Short walk to and from the theaters every night and REALLY short walk to Central Park every morning. Great location!
The hot water is a bit crazy but certainly won't stop me from returning here!!
The location was excellent.
Location was fine
At least update the bedding...not the bed, the sheets and covers.
Best location and cleaness
Bed wasn't good. I had a bachache after I woke up.
EVERYTHING!! Location, staff, room..would definitely stay here again!!
Time square was down the street in view of the hotel, Subway was right there, many restaurants...
Some staff unfriendly, was put at the back of a hotel with 2 sets of stairs very difficult was a pram and young family and also being chArged for baggage for our group without prior notification is not ok
The hotel is within easy walking distance of a lot of the main attractions. Only a short walk to time square, central park, theatre area , Rockefeller centre and other sites. Subway at times square takes you to the WTC. The reception staff were excellent and attended to our needs efficiently and effectively. The safe storage at reception is free.
The hotel although it has old world charm needs up grading. We were in room overlooking 55 street on the fifth floor. Our sleep was disturbed on the first night by a high pitched whine turning on and off throughout the night. We complained and were moved to the 20th floor the following day which solved the problem. There is no free WiFi in the hotel or coffee facilities in the room.
location good value for the money
old facilities lack of gym, pool
Rooms were small, no coffee making facilities, décor 'tired'.
Clean, friendly, easy to get anywhere from hotel either by foot or subway. Can walk to Carnegie hall, Times Square, Central Park, shopping and shows. No fridge in room but four places across from hotel for coffee, drinks, sandwiches, breakfast (eat in or take out).
There is no fridge in the room or ice machine (that we saw), you have to pay for Internet.
The location made it easy to walk to many attractions. Its an olser style hotel in which we love the architectal style. Room was clean and comfortable.
My wife could hear some traffic noise. I slept like a rock.
Corner room, walking distance to main attractions, pleasant staff at check in
Constant sounds of sirens despite being on 15th floor - guess that's NYC
Convenient subway next door Many eating places nearby especially coffee shops with free wifi
No fridge Poor wifi connection-not worth the cost
Location was good - close to Time Square and Central Park. Staff were polite and helpful.
Room was very dated, especially the bathroom which was also not very clean. No tea/coffee making facilities either in room or available in hotel.
The location was very good - about 100 yards from Central Park. Plenty of bars and things to see in the vicinity.
The room was a little small - the equivalent room in London would have been a lot cheaper.
The location is perfect, not to far from time square or Central Park allows you to move between the hectic life in Broadway to the relaxed green of the open Park. Another great advantage is having a subway station right at the door of the hotel which gives you easy access to any other part of Manhatam
Breakfast in the dinning room is not a great option, sometimes it's too packed and you need to wait for a long time. I was surprised not to have a safe in the room, you can ask one in the lobby but it's not the same. Another thing I found strange was not to have a fridge in the room which made it complicated if you wanted to buy something to keep it cold.
The hotel is minutes walk from Times Square, Central Park, MoMA and I'm sure a lot more.
This is a low/no service hotel. There is no fridge, no water, no coffee and no ice in the room. The elevators are ludicrously slow and everything feels like it was last renovated in about 1989. The very look of the room service menu suggests eating out at any of the million local choices.
The room was roomy and beautiful. Close to Time Square, Central Park and everything else
The parking was the only thing I was not happy, finding parking near by for half the price the wellington charged. You pay a lot of money to stay at the hotel and on too of that you have to pay a parking few off 45 a night
1.my bathroom didn't have window and the exhauster did not worked.(ROOM 438) 2. The internet was VERY expensive and very slow. When I was complaining the manager said that -I have to call the people for the internet. So I was at Wellington I pay very expensive and no help from then. 3.I payed more then 400 US DOLAR and the ar conditioner wasn't able to make the small room cool. 4. The receptionist were in a hurry all the time. They did not have time to be polite. When I got the receipt that I payed 1.399,78 US dollar for 3 nights the receptionist said -When you finish drop your key in that box. She never told us- thank you for stay with us or sorry for the noise of the reconstruction.
Location not really bad.
Cramp, noisy, not clean enough and poor facilities
