Location is terrific and the staff is always there and helpful.

We stayed on the 12th floor which had just be renovated, fresh, clean and comfortable. Staff very nice

We had a beautiful suite which is very unusual for New York City. Location was great also.

Room was very small, bathroom miniature. Didn't include wi-fi except for a fee. That is too greedy for a high priced hotel!

Hotel is well positioned with very easy access to the metro (by the side entrance). Great for Midtown, Central Park and a short Metro ride to Downtown Manhattan. Plenty of eating choices close by.

Lifts and corridors not air conditioned - not a problem in cold months but it was about 32ºC when we were there.

The location

The staff at the front desk was incredibly rude and impatient. It name for a very uncomfortable stay, my boyfriend and I felt as though we could not ask questions for directions and inquire about good restaurant locations. We stay in hotels quite regularly for travelling purposes and neither of us had experienced such hostility. This was primarily from two staff members. I would not reccommend this place I any of my friends nor would I ever stay there again. The cheap lodging isn't worth if it means being treated like that.

The slightly old-fashioned ambience. Relaxed atmosphere. Subway right next to the hotel.

Very little. The elevators were a bit strange. I was on the 25th floor and could see them coming up to (say) 21st and then go back down, presumably because someone got on who wanted to go down. So it is possible to be stranded on the high floors.

Comfortable bed and attractive decor. Well-appointed and efficient bathroom. Good room service.

Greek restaurant appeared part of the hotel but was actually independent and we had to settle the bill there immediately. It was also expensive although the food was good. We booked over a holiday weekend by accident so room prices were high.

Small hallways

Location is perfect. Water pressure in the shower is great.

The hallways smelled of cigarettes. Sheets on the bed were very rough, pillows small and shallow, bed creaked and matress squeaked with slightest movement. There was no way to air out the bathroom other then by opening the door to the room. Overall the hotel was old but not in the vintage way but in the "needs a serious upgrade" way.

The location of this hotel is excellent. I would only recommend this hotel because of its location.

No Free wi-fi shabby and dated.

The location is very good two blocks from Central Park and a few blocks from Time Square. The staff are very kind and willing to help.

The hotel seems to have tree buildings and my room was in the back building and to get to the elevator a had to go to some stairs which is very difficult when carrying heavy luggages.

Location. And a decent price (for a Manhattan midtown hotel) at the time I booked it. While I rated the staff "fair", Adam was a great first impression for the Hotel, being more attentive and friendlier than his peers. He should be a movie star.

Hotel is no spring chicken, ... but no real complaints. It is what it is. We just happened to have checked in after being in a much newer and more modern building the previous night (hotel in New Jersey), so the contrast really showed. I'd avoid staying in Manhattan unless the need for convenience is essential, though. But if I had to, Wellington is still a fine choice based on what we paid.

Hotel location, the quality of the room but most of all the helpfulness & attitude of the staff. Eager to please & help without becoming patronizing. They were always very professional.

LOUD air conditioner.

Spaciousness, grace, ageing elegantly, old-world feel with all modern comforts. Elegant furniture. Very comgortable beds and linen. scrupulously clean. friendly house staff. We liked our suite with separate room with fold-out bed ideal for adult son allowing triple occupancy.

The size of the room and the cost given the size. It was inconvenient and uncomfortable. I would NOT recommend this hotel.

The location of this hotel was just perfect for sightseeing, shopping and eating. It was a bonus to have the underground train service station so near.
