The price and availability
Staff was rude and indifferent.
Clean, comfortable, friendly. Great breakfast. It is winter time so we enjoy the pool being indoors very much.
No coffee after 10 am. Most places have complementary coffee all day long for their guests.
The pet room did not smell. The bed was comfortable and we really enjoyed the hot tub
The staff was great also housekeeping was wonderful. My kids and I really liked everything about the hotel.
The only thing that was not good was the Pool chlorine. It was so strong and just sitting in there to watch my kids my eyes were watering. If anything please change that.
The location was excellent for going into the strip and also going downtown, plenty of places to eat nearby.
The cleanliness if the spa tiles , also the cleanliness of the pool tiles, both needed drained and completely cleaned. A minor point ,t.v reception was pretty poor also.
Very nice Registration area Computer in Lobby Hot tub Sauna Pleasant Employees Fitness area Clean rooms
Too much Chlorine in pool. It needs to be converted to another cleaning agent. Not enough pillows, asked for more but the last was already given out. Needs more supply of extra pillows.
Stores and restaurants within walking distance
Front desk agent didn't seem to enjoy his job, maybe he needs a vacation or some time off?
everything, pool, jukezy, breakfest
Large room, more than expected...lots of mirror & counter space
Late night staff anticipated our late arrival and asked 'are you Abigail?' Felt like a home away from home. This hotel serves as an example to other older hotels that guests can have an excellent experience in an slightly older place (without putting millions into large scale renovations) if you hire/train the right ppl, keep things CLEAN, and use new beds/bedding and shower, ppl will keep coming back! Great job everyone. My guess is that the management is fantastic! (I don't know who that is) Also, my son was very sick in the car previous to arriving and the next morning I asked housekeeping for some laundry soap and without hesitation have me a full drinking cup. She also offered to give me car cleaning supplies. All too often high-end hotels don't feel like family. Happiest staff I've seen. Anywhere.
I found a pair of shoes under our bed, and some trash. Nothing major. I've seen worse. Again, the places you have to have clean they did: perfect bed, beautiful shower, fabulous common areas/eating!
Everything was better than expected. Pool hot tub steam room sauna exercise room and washers and dryers were all available 24/7. Above average free breakfast
The hot tub had too much chlorine but everything else was great.
there wasno flat screen t.v. plus there were barely any channels to watch.
location affordability very large rooms big breakfast area
elevator very slow, stained carpet
I loved the size of our room. We had space for a roll-away bed andthere was still space for our granddaughter to play on the floor. Since we had to pprepare a meal in our room, I appreciated the extra bar sink and counter. everyone loved the water pressure of the shower. We loved the west facing room to catch the sunrise and appreciated the elavator for access.
Even tho it was mid-october our room was hot and the heating unit was off. We "slept" with the windows closed the first night to keep the road noise out but were all very hot. The second night, we opted for open window as opposed to turning the air conditioner on. The kids either above or beside us were very noisy (in the.middle of the night). Playing on the floor with my granddaughter showed the floor could have been cleaned better. while the breakfast was free, it was heavily carb-loaded: yogurt, bagels, muffins, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, juice, fruit. They "saved" us by providing Promise "butter" while loading us with Sugar.
The bed was very comfortable. Pretty good light in the parking lot. Easy access to everything I needed in the area. Room was huge.
I could clearly hear plumbing noises through the wall and footsteps of the neighbors above me. Keep this in mind if you're a light sleeper.
location large room
Run down keys hard to use breakfast was cold
The Location was excellent was close to Recreation Facillities, Shopping, Restaurants. The staff was very helpful. I return every late Spring and Summer.
Liked the price and Was clean and quiet.
Should have been told at ck in that hot tub wasn't working. Pool needed to be warmer also for younger children
The first nite was just great, but....
The second nite was a nightmare. Unruly guests from 10:30 to 3 am; should have been curtailed way early on. Did not get what we bargained for, for the money. Should have gotten discount at the least. Most important thing *all* motels could improve is alleviating extreme door slam. Besides the constant "BOOM," it also vibrates the walls down the entire corridor.
It was quite, clean. Breakfast was great. Price was right. We will stay there again.
We did not spend a lot of time at the hotel, but found our room very comfortable.
You can hear the truck traffic on 95 and 90 early in the A.M.
Breakfast had a nice variety to choose from. Also found the staff were very friendly and helpful.
We were on the 3rd floor and the curtains didn't quite close completely allowing the lights from the parking lot to shine in the room. With so many mirrors no matter which way we turned they reflected into the eyes while trying to go to sleep.
Friendly staff, lots of great options for the complimentary breakfast. Location was great, right off the highway, easy to find.
carpet stained and not clean or well vacuumed. after first night, bed not well made. refrigerator turned up too high and I didn't notice until it was too late. Froze my hard boiled egg.
Enjoyed the twenty four hour pool. the location of the hotel is close to lots, food, shopping, gas.
Everything is very old, facilities need cleaned, ceiling in every area of the hotel has big water stains, cable has about ten channels, the breakfast was awful, the pull out bed was....well what you'd expect. We will be staying elsewhere next years Silverwood trip.
We are repeat visitors to the Shilo and enjoy our stay.
The on-line room pictured and the ammenities listed by booking.com are incorrect. The room was not the suite with the glass partition wall nor is there a falt screen TV (a much nicer room). When we inquired with management about it we were told booking.com had incorrect information and that the room described was another $20.00 per night. That needs to be corrected and we will question information from booking.com in the future. The Shilo needs to clean up the hot tub
