I had a quick stay (just overnight). My room was very comfy & Convenient to good restaurants. Adorable place - would like to have spent more time on the property.
ONLY 1 thing- not so great. The day I left and went down the street for gas I immediately saw that my car was covered with ants. Not just a few - A LOT! Spent an hour finding a carwash and getting my car cleaned. Worried they would get in the car.
Very unhelpful when I needed to change my booking due to illness unlike several other accommodations through out the usa
Beautiful bungalows tucked into a quiet street in West Hollywood. I wish we had stayed longer.
The studio apartment ("Steve") was very nice, with a small patio up front. The stained-glass wall was a nice touch.
Considering that there is no restaurant on site and no coffee places on a one block radius, I found it hilarious that the coffee in the kitchen came with a price tag. Most 3-5 stars hotels are providing the coffee for free in the room. I did not use it ; went to Alfred's on melrose Place instead.
+ Very nice building, yard and garden; + cozy rooms; + good parking; + patio with bbq and place for smoking
- reception girl was not friendly at all, and my card was credited twice (although they returned money after reminder); - check what floor your room is at, as ground floor lacks privacy; - reception closes early, you will need to check your email for checking in instructions; - wifi was not great; - no restaurant whatsoever.
The "Green" enviroment of the old building, the apartment facilities and the kindness of the younger hotel staff.
At 5PM all the hotel staff get away. So, if you have some question or problem after that hour, you are in real trouble.
We got an upgrage from the studio to a one bedroom..even though it was for one night. Will consider going again for a value price.
I think charge for a cup of coffee was priced high. This should be complimentary at least for one day.
Love this place，everything is cute.
Quirky hotel, beautiful decor. Free parking, great location. Helpful staff
Great location! Private place with lots of character.
Rug shed all over our clothes and socks and most furniture had stains. Beds were not very comfortable either. It's not too bad of a place if you're not picky about cleanliness.
Staff were excellent.
apartment tastefully decorated and well equipped
We loved staying at The Charlie, it was so very peaceful, the kitchen and the proximity to the Market were fantastic. The car parking was also a bonus!
Location was excellent; walking distance to good restaurants and cafe's. The style and comfort of property, including having nice furnishings and amenities was excellent.
Being next to the main gate entrance when at 3.30am other guests decided to come out and noisily see their guests off.
The room lacked one basic, coffee/tea and milk. We only stayed two nights so it wasn't stocking the kitchen and we really missed an wake cuppa!
Great location in West Hollywood! Beautiful, well equipped appartments. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay again. Free parking was great.
Very quiet, clean and beautiful.
I parked too close to the sprinklers each day and most of my car got a sap like film on it. It did come off at the car wash.
Friendly staff, security and lovely grounds
Night lighting shone into the room
It was very charming and historic. We felt like we were locals living in the neighborhood instead of tourists in a hotel.
It doesn't have big hotel options like a pool or breakfast although we didn't mind. Something to keep in mind if you want a place to lay out or swim
Location was perfect. Charming setting. Nice room, comfortable bed. A bit pricey for no real hotel services. Free parking was a bonus.
Truly very limited hotel services. Office only open a few hours a day. Expect moe for the price.
The quiet of this property in a lovely neighborhood of LA, just steps from outrageous shopping and dining choices was exceptional. It is an oasis within an oasis.
Nothing of note. Some mosquitoes through an open window, but that can hardly be their fault.
easily one of the nicest and fun hotels I have stayed in over the years. Love everything about it...esp the private parking space, full kitchen and private deck in my suite.
the fact I could only stay one night.
The charm of the hotel was great, the access to all west Hollywood has to offer was also good. The location and hotel had good atmosphere.
The fact we had no hot water on the 2 nights we were there. That put a cold damper on things, so to speak. Also the fact there isn't a 24 hour staff member present for such issues.
I loved the quaintness of the hotel the spacious studio was lovely. would stay again next time I am in LA.
would have liked the option to have milk, tea/coffee a few basic groceries as staying a couple of days didnt warrant buying these items. the fountain outside kept me awake first night ( until I found out how to turn it off). Gail Marshall London
