Our stay was pleasant. The staff was friendly and helpful. I loved how close it was to the downtown area. We'll be back soon and hopefully for a longer visit.
Reception girl Room size
Location a little out of the way, but could walk to public transport, Balboa Park and the Gaslamp District. Room clean, but not very big. Wi fi good, staff helpful.
Breakfast OK, but basic - only prepackaged food, including instant oats - no fresh milk. Shower could only be set to hot or cold - off was in between hot and cold so you couldn't seem to adjust the settings.
Good price, OK overall comfort and location, friendly staff
Noisy aircon, unencrypted WiFi
Comfortable room in good location. I would stay there again. Under the path of landing aircraft, so if the noise bothers you, you may not like it. I found it didn't bother me.
The rooms were on the small side but clean. Fridge, microwave, wifi good.
No parking. Also a bit of a walk from the main attractions in the city.
Too many mistakes. Room are tiny and the beds uncomfortable. Really felt like a no-tell motel.
Refrigerator in room Comfortable bed Cable TV with lots of channels Coin op Laundry Close to Little Italy Near bus stop Walking distance to Gaslamp Quarter
Minimal Continental Breakfast selection.
Everything was great but.....
The customer service here sucked in so many ways!! When we arrived the girl at the front desk did not want to acknowledge us standing in front of her :/ She didn't explain to us how to get to our room...and didn't Thank us for choosing their Hotel and being a guest. :/ She's like hers your keys and dat back down :/ This place serves breakfast in the am the man that's there to make sure everything is in place and well stocked looked at every guest and gave them the "Hurry up" look :/ I just believe that if your working for the public your customer service skills need to be on point!!!
No outside windows. Farther from the Convention Center than I thought.
The location close to Downtown and Balboa park
Sound of airplanes at 4am, if you leave the window open, otherwise you don't hear them.
Some Staffs are unfriendly. Not hospitable. Never ready to direct even first timers to the facility. You are given a key to proceed to your room on arrival without anyone taki g you there.
More accommodating staffs.
good location: quite near the balboa park and downtown kitchen with microwave
great room with all the facilities good breakfast great value for money
Hard to say
Very loud A/C, planes were landing on San Diego airport just over our roof, far away from trolley, very small room, unpleasant and un helpful staff, poor breakfast (bread like a stone)
Location is in downtown near Balboa Park.
Too close to the airport( airplane noise aloud in the night.) The cleanness of Sheets.
The location was good for what I needed, and the breakfast was adequate to start the day.
There was no parking, and street parking was challenging to find. Although several persons checked in before 1 pm when I was there I was made to wait until after 1 before I was permitted to check in. I was told that I could have gotten a better price if I had booked directly through the direct website, but since I had chosen Booking.com I could not get the better price. The only way I could justify the cost of the room was that I was there over Labor Day weekend - which to me really isn't much justification for the high cost of the room
Location was great and the price was even better.
Staff was friendly Moved me to another room when I asked Good location for going out (15-20 mins on foot)
Ground floor rooms are terrible (cockroaches in the bathroom) Weird smell in the rooms Feels old
Close to Down town
The staff went above and beyond to help me out. I was travelling alone and did not have a car.The staff printed out directions from Google maps for me to help me get to my destinations. They also extended my check out time so I had enough time to go to the beach and come back on my last day there.Lastly, one of the staff members helped me carry my bags to my room when I checked in.
The area is very noisy. You can here planes and traffic all through the night. The location of the hotel was also a bit off putting as there many homeless people on the street.
The staff was very helpful and kind when we had the issues with the door luck.
WiFi wasn't the best and also for our room the air conditioning was literally next to the bed and blows on you all night if you have it on.
I like, e complete the room. Good decor. The check in was little rough, unfriendly.
The fact that I reserved a queen room and the bed that myself my husband and our less than 1 year old infant had to sleep in was far from a queen size. Since that is what we comfortably sleep in at home and that bed had barely enough room for my husband and infant. There was barely enough walking space between the bed and air conditioner that had to blow directly in the face of the person sleeping beside it. The breakfast food was stale and inadequate for the advertisement of breakfast. I will prefer my truck to this hotel ever in the future! And for $100 you have got to be kidding me!!!!
