few staff response
Facilities and amenities of the room was very good.
The bed looks small but you sleep comfortable.
Very close to any attraction.seaworld, Downtown, freeways all easily to get to. Clean part of town and only improvement I would suggest is parking for those first checking in.
Parking kinda far at times.
Roaches in my room
The Area was good very close to downtown san diego! Good bus connection! Microwave and fridge!
Room was very small and smelled bad!
Value for budget. Good reservation record.
No parking lot. Hotel is too small for the number of rooms. Rooms were not cleaned up. Free Wifi
Many planes flying over WPI
Location, location, location! I can't say anything more about it, Alicia at then front desk was more then i expected from a hotel staff member. She saw to it that my stay was without incident. And thanks for her efforts, it was. Even helping me avoid a parking ticket. Thanks Alicia!
The internet was horrible, i couldn't get a signal anywhere in my room, i had to go to the lobby, and the parking. This is the only hotel i have been to, and i travel a lot, that had no parking! What's with that?
Don't unless you have no other options. Just...don't do it.
Breakfast was not refilled and thus most of the stuff gone when we came into the breakfast room at 9 am.
Just the fact that it was very clean an comfortable .just love it there.
I really liked the free wifi and breakfast. It was a low price I paid and for what I paid I feel a had great value. The room has air con and it's very clean.
I had to pay for parking (parking across the street, $6 for 12 HRS; $12 for 24 HRS)
you're location and ease of parking
the sheets were like sandpaper and the bathroom was not clean, someone else's hair was still in the drain.
A beautiful courtyard, in the middle of the hotel, location was great. Microwave, refridgerator, and iron with a broken iron board pad.
I did not enjoy the stay, the room was small & un-comfortable, no convient parking, the bed rail was too big & extended out past the bed, I kept hitting my legs on it. There wasn't an outlet in the bathroom to curl my hair, I had to use the desk. It had Not enough towels, when the air conditioner was on it left water on the carpet. The toilet keep stopping up. The hot water was extremely hot when you turned on the water to wash your hands, if you were not comfortable you would burn your hands. When I was in the courtyard the following morning there were employees standing there unpacking boxes having a personal conversation with profanity about their lives, as a guest I didn't need to hear that! It went on for 20 mins. While I was in the courtyard. It was hot that day, their wasn't even a pool. Disappointed about that!
The location was really close to Seaport Village. It was clean and stocked.
The parking could be better but you cant have everything.
My stay was great..
The staff was very nice and helpful.
Is within walking distance to Balboa Park for San Diego Pride. And a cab ride from Hillcrest to the hotel is no more than ten bucks, so it was good if you were gonna drink.
The parking on the streets, really hard to find and parking at other places or buildings is expensive, but then again, so are other places.
The staff was really nice and help full.
The comforter had a burn hole in it and it was a non smoking room , defiantly grossed me out a bit :/
We liked the price, great value for the money. Nice continental breakfast. Coveniently located between Balboa Park and the Gaslamp district so we could walk to either direction.
We weren't too sure if it was a seedy location, but after being there a day discovered that it was fine. There was no off street parking. Had to park on the street and find a non-metered location, which eventually opened up in front of the hotel. Small full sized bed and sink in bathroom. But again, a great value for the price. Some of the staff were a little curt and not so friendly.
The room was clean, well-stocked, quiet, and the ac worked.
I had to haul my wheeled walker, which I was using as a luggage cart, as well, up 3 steps after the desk clerk directed me to the wrong building (there are 2 and my room number didn't exist in the accessible one to which he initially sent me), only to discover that he'd given me the wrong gate code (fortunately, I had my cell phone available so I could call the desk rather than haul my walker down and up the steps again). This clerk didn't give me directions to the correct room; fortunately, another guest happened by and directed me to the elevator. Once I arrived at my room, I discovered that my walker could go no farther into to room than the side of the bed next to the door because it wouldn't fit between the chest of drawers and the foot of the bed. I couldn't believe the room was so cramped! It made it a little hard to maneuver in the room, but I got by grabbing furniture, doorways, and cabinets. The clerk told me that they were fully booked, so if I'd requested an accessible room I would have had none, and it was better than nothing, but if I ever need to stay here again I will.
Liked the basic amenities that were available such as cable, free WiFi, complimentary breakfast, microwave and refrigerator in room Also liked the courtyard of the inn, a gym was available, and the location was in walking distance (within a mile) to most restaurants, bars and public transportation.
Did not like the room as it felt dated and sometimes felt unclean. In addition there was maintenance needed in the room I stayed in.
Close to downtown San Diego.
Very Poor WiFi
Location Breakfast Lack of wifi Rude housecleaners Room was not cleaned right Unsafe environment
for a basic, single traveler my accommodations were great. I enjoyed the overall layout of the hotel as well as the single-bed room.
I resommend some additional breakfast items that don't come in plastic... but even what was served was fine. Decent coffee to get started was appreciated. The WiFi posed difficulties for my laptop -- despite cooperation form staff I had to identify the problem on my own. Even then, the signal to the 4th floor was just sufficeint for text and some graphics -- my LMS (for work) took forever to load.
