The view of a pond from our room was really nice. It was a quiet setting, even though it's next to a road.
The rooms are dated but clean. The tub didn't drain very well.
Microwave, fridge, great view, proximity to Bennington.
Old facility, poor wifi, poor water pressure, poor maid service
Bed was ok, comfy.
found dead bugs in bathroom and dirty towels at check in time. Hot water pressure didn't work first day. Once fixed, limited amount of hot water. Noisy A/C, turned it off so I could sleep. Rooms look nothing like the pictures, they are very old and outdated. Not work the price.
Dirty stained carpet, some lamps broken, coffee maker didn't work, faucet in bathroom sink was broken-water slowly ran constantly, telephone didn't work, everything in room very dusty & dirty & very old!!! Room smelled terrible too!
Quaintness. Quite location. Reminded us of the 60s, which is our style.
Exterior of all buildings and the grounds need major up keeping and painting but it has a lot of potential. Must have been a really nice place in its day!
Families were living at the motel. Hairs in the bathtub.
the only hotel with availablity at the time
Needs some serious work. Needs to answer their phone.
The view is good. Staff are nice.
The worest experience I have ever had. Old motel and not clean enough. Smell is terrible. It's just not value for money.
Rooms were disgusting. A good coat of fire would be an improvement! I booked 3 rooms, under 3 different names & they charged them all to my card.
Manager was very helpful, and eager to please. Location very quiet and relaxing. Beautiful scenery! Beds and pillows were wonderful, very comfortable.
Some minor repairs are needed with plumbing and heating systems. These are being addressed by management. It is an older facility, that needs some basic maintenance, but it did not negatively affect our comfort. We would stay there again in the future.
Everything else -- condition of the facility is the biggest issue. This motel is stuck in the 1960's.
It was on the way to where we were going.
I called around 7:00 stated that we would arrive before 10:00. Told that this was no problem. When we got there, on one was about ( lights on ). Tried to locate someone on the phone just went to voice mail ( I could hear the phone ) After about 25mins. I was able to get in. Not pleasant.
Location is wonderful on Route 9, with view on pond outside the door and mist on the mountains in the morning. There was a good mini-refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave in the room, and they were all new. This property has so much potential if it were properly managed and refurbished.
Tub had no stopper, toilet had to have handle held down to flush; property is old and in poor repair; rooms are outdated and there was mold in one corner of the room on the carpet. Very poorly managed property over many years--formerly the Vermonter Motor Inn and it has gotten steadily run down even more. Very overpriced for what you get. The draperies did not close properly and I had to put a chair in front of them to keep people from seeing in--I am a woman traveling by herself so have to be careful--and the heater did not work the first night. Owner was fortunately on premises and so came by and fixed it. But he is not normally there. Do not stay here.
staf , beds,would not stayhere again.very bad.
The price was good and the facility was fair...but well worth the cost. Beds were comfortable.
We stayed two nights and the room was not cleaned the second night we were there. Breakfast was skimpy.
Room was worn. Leftover food in the fridge. No room cleanup each day, including trash pickup.
