The motel is rundown and lacks basic maintenance. I slept in a room with smoke smell, cigarette burns on both chairs and get this, the mattress also. The toilet broke, the laminate in the bathroom was peeling off and they do not do anything about it. This place should not be letting their place fall apart. Dirty feeling when you are in the room. You get what you pay for!! Not worth it. Never again at this place. Ken From Cromwell CT
TV didn't work, no wifi, shower - tub would not drain. Mold around shower wall.
Love the waterview, outdoor corridors ,and owners and staff.
WiFi did not work on my IPad in my room, had to go to lobby.
The back view and location.
The bed, bathroom, tv and the overall the room condition.
It had a fridge and microwave. The bed sheets were clean. The bathroom was cleaned the next day
The smell in the room was terrible because, I believe of the mold issues. None of the windows could be opened, at least to get some fresh air in the room. It was quite dark in the room, even during the day. The room was small, not much room to move around, the furniture was old. The same with the TV. The bathtub clogged up right away after turning on the shower. For the price we paid for this particular room, I really expected better quality.
The pool, the view, access to ice, the price!
Bed was firm and comfortable, easy access to parking from room, staff was nice
Wifi was broken - but the manager did tell me in advance that it was. Turn to enter the lot from the main street sneaks up on you, a sign or two before the turn would help, or a bigger sign at the turn. Trees obscure the sign until the last second.
The view was beautiful! We went Friday hit traffic all the way and called to see how late owner very nice willing to wait for us!! Made me feel so welcomed!
There were people going in and out of the place like they were buying something, and that was day and night.People live there permanently, they actually looked like they were homeless people.
I liked the fact that Yankee Village is on Mill Creek Marsh. It is situated in a very developed area of the Cape....with many motels and other businesses all along the road. It is quite central....and easy to go in any direction to have Fun on all other parts of Cape Cod. Also, since it is surrounded by Greenery....with Garden Trails on either side....it is very lovely on it's own. It's near to Beaches by short walks to Nantucket Sound. It has a nice Pool for evening swims.....when you come back to rest.....after a long day exploring Beautiful Cape Cod.
Good location, has a pool.
Advertised wifi, only available in the lobby. Old décor.
The price was good.
My room was terrible. It had a musty + cigarette smell that made me think I was breathing in mold the whole night. I went to pull the comforter off my bed and the under blanket had cigarette burns and holes in it. I ended up keeping the comforter on so I wouldn't have to look at it. I know this room was very inexpensive, but I think clean bedding and breathable air are basic expectations
location was good
room needed alot of work-light switch had a short in it- tiles on floor were comimg up- bathroon sink was all cracked
Microwave and fridge were clean, ample clean towels, working AC, location, parking right in front of room
Musty smell in room and bed, non working bathroom light, blinds that wouldn't fully close to block people from walking by to look in, staff was rude and short when calling to confirm details of stay and couldn't answer questions without owner. No hair dryer or iron. Turned on heat and putrid smell came out. Overall, if you need a place to just shower and sleep on a tight budget and your not high maintenance then give it a try. No luxury here.
Convenience Close to nature The view
It was ok for what we paid, but felt like could do with airing out the room, very musty. Seemed pretty clean, just old. Great location, easy to access Cape Cod, as long as you have a car.
Room was a bit stuffy and could do with updating, but for what we paid was ok really.
mold in the bathroom and light fixtures, musky damp smell
the beds were terrible and the housekeeping was poor. we didn't have our room properly cleaned for 3 days. poor view of bay when paying extra for that view. our outside door was broken and hard to open and the door to our balcony was broken so you had to use the main door to get to it
nice conversations with the owner
the noise from the adjacent room (216)
Staff was good
Moisture and bed not comfortable.
cape cod and west yarmouth is a beautiful place with walking distance to sea and beachside, friendly people I met, grooved area with beautiful houses, convenient shops.
far too much traffic in Cape cod ! cars, cars, cars, everywhere and a lot ! very few cyclist in fact and that's a pity ! as a biker, this heavy automobile traffic looks like hell ! I encountered only a few bikers..cycling in Cape cod and in yarmouth is fine but beware of the incredible amount of cars on the roads ! it increase potential accidents involving cyclist and cars... appart from that, I often saw traffic signs hidden by trees not groomed by the City, meaning that you see the direction signs on the road too late ! a few crossing signs for pedestrians in Yarmouth were hidden by trees to Automobilists, and hence the numerous drivers would not stop when you want to cross the road ! just because they cannot see the signs !!! this is dangerous ! in fact, walking and cycling overthere is a bit dangerous..just because there's too many cars !!!
Not clean No Wifi in the room , it should be working ! Cleaness
