Score from 64 reviews Very good
Having all of the facilities in one hotel including a pool, gym, hair salon, and even two restaurants.
Everything was great. The room with a balcony was wonderful. The hospitality was exceptional.
Facilities were clean and room spacious
No free wifi or breakfast
I love the room itself it was very cozy and comfortable.
The things I didn't like was there was no microwave or refrigerator in the room. There was no way for me to heat my food.
The champagne I brought
Only one small hot tub
The pool area was nice
The room is very small the bathroom is not modern . Most hotel I've been in has a stand up shower . The bathroom area is small .
The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and made you feel important. The resturant food was very good and it was nice that the resturant served food after 10:00.
The bathroom needs some work - noticed the vents and the corners of the floor were dirty .. I wouldn't have noticed but the ceiling is low and the bathroom is small ...
Check in was a pain due to trainee who was clueless. Bed was saggy and the linens were too small for the bed. People outside our door at 11:30pm having the most vulgar conversation I've ever heard. Never again!
Noisy and inconsiderate guests on same floor
The lobby was spacious and well decorated
house keeping started knocking at our door at 8:30 AM. At 9:30 a member of the cleaning staff used an access key to come into the room without knocking! I confirmed at the desk that checkout was at noon. When I informed front desk staff of what happened they said they have permission to start knocking and cleaning rooms as early as 8:00... so much for sleeping in on vacation. And if they have early access they should do something more aggressive about the mold that is growing on the ceiling in the unvented bathroom.
Noise from the pool after published 'quiet time' cost of room wifi inoperable vending machine
Clean. Rooms nicely appointed. Staff friendly and helpful. Housekeeping staff efficient and considerate of privacy. Food in Cooper Mills? on sight restaurant was good (only had breakfast). Did visit Ruth Chris-also on sight-never disappointing but the prices are steep. Service always excellent there.
The TV operating system (not the physical TV) was an absolute joke. Almost impossible to navigate. Most of the controls on the remote did not work or had no purpose. The on-screen guide to broadcast channels was incorrect. Almost impossible to go from a channel back to the guide, but I guess that was OK because the channel guide was wrong anyway, There was no way to get any information about what was playing on a broadcast channel-my cable company provides it and I doubt that they are cutting edge. No broadcast channels on demand-would have been nice, but not the major complaint. Sometimes-more than once-the operating system would hang up and just do nothing when the TV was turned on. Had to turn off and then on again. I could have herded cows into a barn and told them to design a TV operating system and they likely would have come up with a better product than this. There are no buttons to select floors inside the elevators. You have to indicate the floor you want on the touch pad outside the elevator. I got on the first time and the doors closed before I could figure out what to do. Saw another guest enter an elevator and gaze around trying to figure out where the floor buttons were. I have never seen such an arrangement in another elevator building. I would politely call it an option that was not well though out. More precisely, it is just plain stupid. Got a note under the door that ALL elevators would be out of service for three hours in the middle of the day. Also pretty stupid. In all the years I have worked on my current office building the only time that they have shut all elevators was during a power failure or a fire drill. I have a bed back and walking the stairs to my 7th floor room would have been something of hardship. Fortunately I was checking out a few hours before the total elevator shutdown. Would I elect to choose another hotel over Marriott because of these complaints? Probably not.
I looked forward to my stay at The Marriot because of its reputation. I liked the ambience. The restaurant looked homely and the food was commendable. The swimming pool area was welcoming, even though I think its depth should have been deeper. I fancy the idea of selling Marriot merchandise, but must it be online. I would rather you create a space in the hotel where such merchandise could be purchased. Yes,an online shop is in conformity with the times, but this is a hotel shop, not Macy's
The Reception Staff were unprofessional. It took 30 minutes before they could bring my luggage up to my room.15 minutes after check-in and having proceeded to my room, and my luggage nowhere in sight,I called At Your Service and requested for my luggage. Another fifteen minutes later and my luggage had not appeared,I went to the Reception myself,to personally request for my luggage. Interestingly, after I requested for my luggage, about four people at the Reception just vanished into God knows where, their apologies ringing behind them. I concluded that this must be by training. Two minutes later,my luggage suddenly appeared on a rickety trolley that was struggling along with so much noise. All through my stay,it was this rickety trolley that woke me up before 6am,everyday,evidently conveying the luggages of those who had an early flight to catch. And then, the walls in the room are so thin,I could make out conversations and sometimes which television channels those who stayed beside and opposite my room were watching. And when those opposite my room open their doors, the clicking sound gave the impression that it was my own room that was being opened. Spooky,I promise you. I was also scandalised that a paying guest has to pay for the use of WiFi. And to think he also has to pay from about $13-$18. That is indefensible to me
staff was nice
they could not find the problem with the water leak in the bathroom and never suggested to change or room The room was not that clean.
I really enjoy myself at the Marriott the staff was excellent the breakfast was excellent that's the reason why I booked for next weekend. Thanks a lot
I had a nice getaway although it was for business. No major complaints....
I wish I would've had free wi- fi. I would've been able to conduct my business in the comfort of my room instead of having to sit in the lobby to do it. It was alittle distracting for me.
Lovely Room Friendly Staff
Pool was small and overcrowded with children, as is often the case. It would be good to reserve some times for adults and/or swimmers twice a day. some afternoon and evening hours after 10.
Price, location, clean well kept facility,
Lack of microwave
price was perfect, comfortable beds
paying for internet access
My experience with the staff in person and over the phone was phenomenal. They were very accommodating. Thanks for the great experience!! I had a wonderful time.
Wi-Fi wasn't complimentary.
Location was convenient.
Pool was closed during stay due to "accident". Check in time was WAY too long. Overall, place needs a face lift. We stay at Marriotts regularly but in our opinion, not up to Marriotts standards.
The advertisement showed free WiFi, but actual was no WiFi.
the rooms were very clean & comfortable. Staff friendly & helpful
