Score from 110 reviews Very good
too much noise, especially from air condition.
rooms are clean, nice valley view!
Alright for the value.
Our room neighbors had a fight and we couldn't sleep for some time. It has nothing to do with the hotel itself. Just wish people were more considerate toward others especially late at night.
The hotel grounds were well maintained. The staff was very nice and responsive.
Low level of cleaning, pool looked awful
Cheap and very closed to Yosemite. Good hot breakfast.
The roof keeps the rain off
Room key didn't work, several times we had to ask office to reset it.
Free breakfast & gorgeous surroundings
This hotel would have been great except that there were different guests each of the three nights we were there that made it impossible to sleep. Drunken shouting episodes with profanity one night, very noisy bed activities for hours another, and a drunken party late another. We did complain to management who seemed to take it seriously, but we still were unable to sleep most of the night for three nights straight.
Great location, reasonably clean, comfortable bed.
Poor wifi at times.
Great facilities and buffet breakfast.
You have to wait until 4pm for them to give you the keys from the room. when you take a shower remember of closing the door from the bathroom, unless you like the noise of the smoke detector, caused by the steam of hot water! ( we found it funny!!!)
we booked the hotel for its proximity to the sequoia national park. it is quite close, actually. the room we had it was really clean! the bathroom was original, and clean! they provide a coffee machine in the room, as well as the coffe to do it! our room was a bit far from the reception so we had to go out for wi-fi connection, but we had a huge balcony with some comfy chairs and a table. you gather this and a nice cup of coffee, and it's absolutely fine!
Old facilities - not working hair-dryer
Excellent quality/price ratio. Clean. and comfortable. Very good waffles for breakfast.
The room definitely has seen better times, breakfast limited (and gives you diabetes), Wi-Fi in the room didn't work (no actual internet connection).
Not far from the Park, nice views, helpful staff.
Older facility - gorgeous view.
We wanted to pay by another credit card than was used for booking. Second day we recognized that they cut off money from both of them. Waited three days and two emails until we received answer. They sent money immediately back, but - because of euro-dollar exchange, i received less money than they cut... Was dissapointing.
Place was amazing and we also enjoyed breakfast...
I tried using laptop and smartphone for the WiFi but did not work. It was like stranded in the middle of nowhere when there is no phone signal or WiFi. I used the land line to communicate but they charged me pretty expensive. Staff was unable to resolve WiFi problem.
Location and price.
WiFi doesn't work & they don't seem to care
1. Breakfast is a joke. 2. Could not sleep as both of us felt some insect was biting us. 3. Bathroom window was not closing properly and it became very cold.
we booked and paid King Deluxe (incl. Balcony). we got: standard king (no Balcony) interior very dated, horrible view on a broken chad with propane tanks. the outside area was't really enjoyable.
Location and facilities
Tired rooms, need renovating. Breakfast not very good.
Beautiful location although a bit far from the park
Poor water pressure on the showers, wifi worked inconsistently
Great value, pretty views, comfortable rooms, quiet, breakfast offered, playground available for kids, and close to restaurants and Sequoia National Park entrance
Our room is at the back of the hotel and on the lowest floor (below the ground floor), and we were unable to connect WiFi, that really sucks! We had to go to the lobby and the Internet speed is pretty good though. In addition, the breakfast was very basic, just toast, milk and cereal stuff.
The staff are warm, the room is quite big and clean. Close to Sequoia National Park. Worth the price.
Depending on where you are, the wifi is not really good
Good place if you want to see the Sequoia National Park Nice and clean room
Nice location, free breakfast, friendly staff and large rooms.
I was in a room downstairs and the people above were jumping and walking around a lot and heard lots of thumps until they fell asleep.
I liked that it was quiet and peaceful. There was a microwave and mini fridge!
My brother-in-law got bed bug bites on his face and neck with swelling. That's the part I didn't like at all. I hope Western Holiday Lodge will compensate him for any medical care he might need and for the discomfort he is going through.
The surrounding nature was wonderful.
