we booked the hotel for its proximity to the sequoia national park. it is quite close, actually. the room we had it was really clean! the bathroom was original, and clean! they provide a coffee machine in the room, as well as the coffe to do it! our room was a bit far from the reception so we had to go out for wi-fi connection, but we had a huge balcony with some comfy chairs and a table. you gather this and a nice cup of coffee, and it's absolutely fine!
You have to wait until 4pm for them to give you the keys from the room. when you take a shower remember of closing the door from the bathroom, unless you like the noise of the smoke detector, caused by the steam of hot water! ( we found it funny!!!)
Excellent quality/price ratio. Clean. and comfortable. Very good waffles for breakfast.
Old facilities - not working hair-dryer
Not far from the Park, nice views, helpful staff.
The room definitely has seen better times, breakfast limited (and gives you diabetes), Wi-Fi in the room didn't work (no actual internet connection).
Older facility - gorgeous view.
Place was amazing and we also enjoyed breakfast...
We wanted to pay by another credit card than was used for booking. Second day we recognized that they cut off money from both of them. Waited three days and two emails until we received answer. They sent money immediately back, but - because of euro-dollar exchange, i received less money than they cut... Was dissapointing.
Location and price.
I tried using laptop and smartphone for the WiFi but did not work. It was like stranded in the middle of nowhere when there is no phone signal or WiFi. I used the land line to communicate but they charged me pretty expensive. Staff was unable to resolve WiFi problem.
WiFi doesn't work & they don't seem to care
1. Breakfast is a joke. 2. Could not sleep as both of us felt some insect was biting us. 3. Bathroom window was not closing properly and it became very cold.
we booked and paid King Deluxe (incl. Balcony). we got: standard king (no Balcony) interior very dated, horrible view on a broken chad with propane tanks. the outside area was't really enjoyable.
Location and facilities
Beautiful location although a bit far from the park
Tired rooms, need renovating. Breakfast not very good.
Great value, pretty views, comfortable rooms, quiet, breakfast offered, playground available for kids, and close to restaurants and Sequoia National Park entrance
Poor water pressure on the showers, wifi worked inconsistently
The staff are warm, the room is quite big and clean. Close to Sequoia National Park. Worth the price.
Our room is at the back of the hotel and on the lowest floor (below the ground floor), and we were unable to connect WiFi, that really sucks! We had to go to the lobby and the Internet speed is pretty good though. In addition, the breakfast was very basic, just toast, milk and cereal stuff.
Good place if you want to see the Sequoia National Park Nice and clean room
Depending on where you are, the wifi is not really good
Nice location, free breakfast, friendly staff and large rooms.
I liked that it was quiet and peaceful. There was a microwave and mini fridge!
I was in a room downstairs and the people above were jumping and walking around a lot and heard lots of thumps until they fell asleep.
The surrounding nature was wonderful.
My brother-in-law got bed bug bites on his face and neck with swelling. That's the part I didn't like at all. I hope Western Holiday Lodge will compensate him for any medical care he might need and for the discomfort he is going through.
The staff was friendly and sweet and it was so close to good food and the Sequoia national park. All in all we did end up staying an extra night.
The shower didnt have enough pressure for long hair and the bed was hard as a rock .very poor TV selection they only gave you 6 channels and 2 of the 6 where the same .
Rooms were clean . Ventilation of the rooms was perfect . Overall great experience . We could get to the River pretty easily and that experience was great.
WiFi was slow
The location was excellent, the people was very nice
The wifi quality was very bad and the the place for breakfast was very small and was difficult to find a place to sit down and have breakfast.
we stayed at a queen room which was great, really big and comfortable. there were not too many guests while we were there (mid november) but we did enjoy the quiet anyway. three rivers has a really nice vibe about it.
we got there at around 6 in the afternoon which felt like midnight in three rivers - not much street light and all restaurants seemed to be closed. we were hungry and looking for a place to get dinner but the girl at the reception seemed as ignorant of the place as we were. it would have been nice if she had suggested somewhere to go/something to do.
Shower heads were very low and no heat in the shower/toilet area
I loved the location, my room had a fireplace and a balcony. I slept great every night of my 3 night stay. I would definitely be back. The breakfast wasn't what I expected, but it was cool that you could make your own waffles. Also, I had read that this place was dirty and that there were bed bugs - not true of my room. Remember that you always get what you pay for. Also, as soon as we began to settle in, I noticed a baby lizard on the couch. I'm from the country so it didn't scare me. I actually thought it was pretty cool considering that we were out in their home to visit. Loved this place.
Inexpensive with great location
Cheaply built in the 70s
Room was very complete, This is a perfect location and great place to stay also in the summer a lot of outdoor space to enjoy a summer night by the pool, Jacuzzi, and having a barbecue We really enjoyed our stay as it is very close to Sequoia National Park spent a wonderful day there and then relaxed at Three Rivers
