Excellent location. Clean, large and modern rooms.
A little pricey even for downtown Boston.
Location Helpful Staff Coffee shop in hotel Close to train station Close to great shopping
The location as we have been in Boston before.
Shower area fan built up with excessive dust.
The building was beautiful inside.
Mandatory valet, although it was convenient; Wi-Fi did not work; my husband thought the mattress was too hard; room was ok, but not worth the money. I have stayed in Boston many times and all the hotels were amazing; this hotel was my least favorite.
5 min from Back Bay train station; many T stations around the hotel; inter-connected to all the shopping malls; very close to many restaurants, newbury st, touristic places and a supermarket. Our room had an outstanding view of the river.
Avoid a room close to the elevator hall (some noisy).
nice rooms and good location
they did not honor my reservation for 2 double beds
Location was excellent everything was within walking distance from The main places, really great place to stay
The bedroom was too warm at night and The toilett very noisy
Close proximity to Boston Common. Starbucks and Fogo on premises.
House keeping was a disaster. Waiting time for elevators was too long.
Centrally located within walking distance of most attractions. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Bathroom too small, staff sent email saying luggage delivered but actually sitting at 1st floor.
Location breakfast service every thing is up to mark
Great bed. Nice to get complimentary water. Location, location, location. Right there for the Back Bay eateries, Fenway Park and the Metro. Attractive room. All staff were very helpful.
The plumbing from the next door room sounded like a jet engine in ours (1127) - a real roar. That should be fixed. Also, the plug in the basin did not manage to retain any water forcing us to leave the tap running. Not very eco-friendly. Having a communicating door to the room next door wasn't requested or desirable - could hear the people talking.
An excellent location, close to Fenway and Boston Common. Big comfortable rooms. Nice looking bar I would have visited if we weren't with the kids!
Escalators to 1st floor / reception were out of order.
bathrooms in the lobby were dirty and smelly two days in a raw
Helpful staff. Appreciated being able to use pool towels for a day at the beach. Helpful nice concierge!
$service fee for room service delivery.
Lack of restaurants
Facilities were clean and staff (what little involvement we had with them) was friendly and helpful.
Very noisy in the room area when trying to go to sleep. This was other loud guests but have never encountered such a thing before so not sure if walls are very sound-proof or what? Also, not a very relaxing place to have breakfast, especially if paying $19 for a simple breakfast, cold breakfast buffet. Was hoping for something relaxing @9:30 in the morning but area was cramped and loud.
Staff and location.
We liked the hotel and the beds were comfortable. The staff was also accommodating after a difficult situation.
We did not like the fact that we booked a Queen suite through booking.com and the description shows a separate sitting area with a pull out and the picture shows doors leading to a separate sitting area but that is not what we received when we checked in. Instead we were assigned a single room with 2 Queen beds, and no sitting area. Therefore we had to go it bed when the kids went to bed. When we questioned the hotel we were told that booking.com had sent over a booking for an executive queen room and not a suite. They did not have any Queen suites still available. So, the hotel reimbursed us the price difference between what we paid after booking for the suite and what the actual cost of the smaller room was at the hotel. The hotel also plans to follow up with booking.com about this reservation and the fact that the picture on their website representing the Queen suite is from the presidential suite and very misleading. Lesson learned, book directly with the hotel and not a 3rd party booking service if you want to ensure that you are getting what you have booked and paid for!
Location, friendliness of staff.
Lighting in Bathroom was Poor
Car retrieval staff. Location. Size of rooms and bed.
Paying for WiFi. Small bathrooms.
Location, nice views, comfortable sleep.
The minibar was broken, some of equipment in bathroom was a bit old, but worked all right. But for the room price in such hotel - one would expect all to be nearly brand new.
Everything was excellant including the weather.
Except the price... What started out as an ok deal quickly changed when you add several rediculous taxes and parking that added over $300 in costs in just two days.
Location and comfort. I use the westin in Sydney and love the beds to sleep in !
No wifi in room rate Constantly being bothered by the cleaning staff even with a do not disturb sign on the door
Cost of valet parking at $51 a night!
