Security super, the views
It's the real deal, none of that plastered on luxury. If you want the best cheap hotel in the area, book the Motel 6 (it is seriously the cleanest motel I've ever stayed in). If you want the best resort around, book the hotel formerly known as the Westin Hill Country Resort.
I wish I had spent more time at the pools and on the greens (but I guess that's life and golf ;)
The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I came back from a run and someone was right there with a bottle of cold water. We asked for various items to be brought up to our room multiple times and the staff was always pleasant, prompt and accommodating.
We asked for a later checkout and were told the best that they could do was 11:30 and that it was $50 each hour extra.
Resort fees and not as many "included" amentities.
The facilities are beautiful and the location was good.
From the moment we got there the service was lacking. Carlos, the valet, greeted us and walked away. That should have been our clue to walk away too! Rob, the front desk clerk was the shining star and the only helpful person we encountered. Good luck getting a drink in the bar, or a decent meal at Brannon's Cafe.It is very clear this isn't a Westin property anymore. Such a shame, we had hoped for a better time.
The location. The pool area although we didn't have time to enjoy it.
Rooms were too small. Needs a remodel in some areas. Cleanliness We checked in late and our family needed something to drink and couldn't find anywhere to quench our thirst.
worst place i have ever been! run by snobs!
The pool with different areas for everyone, the kids loved the slide Great golf course with quality holes and great views
We stayed at places with comprable prices that lacked almost all of the amenities and service.
We didn't stay long enough.
The pool was so crowded that you couldn't do anything and the staff was great but not enouph of them
The pool need to clean all day
Loved the grounds, the service, everything about it. From the moment we arrived, the people were friendly and welcoming.
Our room was almost at the end of the hall. Long walk!
Housekeeping wasn't very on top of things. ...floor wasn't vacuumed. ..ran out of toilet paper. ...sinks not cleaned
we booked for two nights and when we got there they give our room to somebody else.. we only stay there one night,
Activities for kids, Fiesta Texas access was great, not to far from Sea World, the pool was fun.
I didn't like the way people could put a towel in a chair at the pool to reserve it and not be back for hours.
The actual pools! They were perfect for kids! Very fun slide! Need more of that! The waitstaff at pools were excellent! Very nice Hotel! Valet was awesome!
I would've like a pool view, I wasn't too fond of the pond and the fact that there was very little people in that area! Another pool area might be better there! Just my opinion. Also not enough seating at the pool area, and the mulch was to hard and dirty to walk on to get in the water from some seating areas.
Great location next to Shops @ La Cantera with shopping and great restaurant options. Next to Fiesta Texas great for kids.
great for the golfer
The convenience to shopping, restaurants & Fiesta Texas. Mostly it was relaxing, room was very nice and swimming area wonderful. Loved the smores too! Beautiful accommodations.
The resort is amazing!
I booked the hotel for two nights on booking.com and when I arrived they had a reservation for only one night. The front desk employees were friendly; however, did not tell us much upon arriving regarding the resort, location of amentities, dining, hours, etc. Since we arrived late there was only one restaurant on the premises we could still eat. When our starving party arrived for dinner we were turned away due to the teenagers in our party and not given any other options for purchasing food at other places in the area. Discouraged we went to the room and ordered room service. The room service was extremely over-priced and delivered to the wrong room which was not finally delivered to our room until midnight an hour late. The large pizza was completely burnt and the teenagers in our party could not even eat it. The manager was notified of all of our concerns to which nothing was addressed and no apology was given!
Nice facilities, staff was very helpful once we checked in and was settled. Very pretty golf course and area.
Check in was extremely painful! We booked 2 king rooms, but were told the hotel had overbooked, therefore we were given 1 double and 1 king. We were comp'd one night room, but were still extremely disappointed.
I liked the massage I had and the Staff in the 2 main restaurants downstairs were all very nice.
1. Car Parking Fees / Lack of Assistance on Arrival: On arrival I pulled up outside the Hotel. I was driving alone and had my baby daughter with me. The porters placed my suitcase on the kerb and the valet driver took my keys. No mention was made of a daily charge if I allowed them to park my car and no-one offered to help me with my bags. I then had to struggle inside with my baby in her stroller and my suitcases. 2. Rude receptionist on arrival: At the front desk the receptionist was incredibly rude. She made no eye contact and simply demanded "id and payment card". She then told me my card was "declined" (huffing and eye rolling at the same time). I later realised that she had put my British debit card through incorrectly (British debit cards need to be processed as credit cards a shop assistant later helpfully explained to me) and that had caused the card to be declined at the hotel. 3. Wrong Room / no porter assistance / inordinate delay in providing suitable room and crib: I had paid extra for a nice room with balcony and view. I had had a number of emails direct with the concierge prior to my arrival to ensure a baby crib was set up on our arrival. I knew when we arrived my baby would need to be fed then put to bed shortly. I was told where my room was and no offer of assistance was made to help me with my bags to the room. As it turned out I had to carry my bags and the stroller up some stairs to get to my room, the receptionist must have known the location of the room and should have ensured a porter helped me. As soon as I entered the room I realised it was not the deluxe I had booked and paid for. It was a dark corner room, with a view of a road, no balcony and no crib. I called reception no less than 3 times. They were incredibly rude. I had to sit and wait in the room for an hour before someone eventually came and moved me to a better room.
it is a very nice and peaceful place
