National Harbor area Staff was helpful
Having to pay for in-room wi-fi
Everything was great from the bed to the bathroom. The room was very spacious. We enjoyed the closeness of shops. Because it was really cold out. Great place.
No microwave. We bought back a lot of food . But no place to warm it up.
- Hallway carpet needs replacement - Lamp table marred and severely scratched
I like the location service was polite room was clean
What I didn't like I was traveling with a small child needed a Mircowave ..they didn't have AnyMore..was told I'll get one Never did,and never was Told..hotel have everything else,But No Mircowave..I felt was Crazy..not family friendly hotel more business
Went to National Harbor to see the light show and ICE at the Gaylord. Once they added parking and a 20. per night recreation fee the cost was out of this world. We were a block away and did spend a day there and but we saved so much we had [lenty of extra money for great meals and shopping!
Hotel was clean and comfortable and a great location.
Front desk staff seemed stressed out by the volume of guests.
The whole complex was beautiful. Christmas trees and the decorations were spectacular at night, lights were stunning and the restaurants are excellent too (not cheap though).
I enjoyed the high professionalism of the Westin Staff that I came in contact with. The room was very comfortable. I ammenities were impressive.
The board walk, the weather was beautiful this time of year. The staff was so nice and friendly, I love the fact i can take my pet and sit in the restaurant and get the same great service as if I was there by myself. I think the staff acknowledge the dog more than me, lol. Seriously the staff was great and the hotel is a great place to stay.
I loved my room. The bed was huge and very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was also quite spacious, with a rain shower. And, even though I didn't use the service, I liked that they offered to provide me with workout clothes and shoes so I wouldn't have had to pack my own.
The only downside for me was that breakfast was not well advertised, so I never knew if was free and didn't take advantage of it. My smoke detector also had a flashing light, but it didn't impact my sleep quality.
During our check-in I mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary. Staff gave us an upgraded room with a beautiful view.
I wish the room had a microwave.
Water on bathroom floor; no harbor view from room
Walk right out the front or back door and you are near everything!
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Free shuttle 1x per hour to Alexandria.
Carpeting in the hall and rooms was stained. Even though I am a Stawrood preferred member, they wanted $25 a night for a room looking at the river.
We researched all of the hotels at National Harbor, and selected the Westin as the best location and value. It is right on the water, unlike all of the other hotels, except the Gaylord, which is overpriced. Because we were celebrating our anniversary Michelle gave us free breakfast and a late checkout, which we really appreciated. She also greeted us by name when she saw us, even though we only stayed one night. We would definitely return to the Westin.
I didn't know until we checked in that all waterfront rooms have a $25 surcharge. After seeing the room on the streetside we decided to pay the extra $25 to get a waterfront room; however, the best ones were already taken. I think it would be helpful to make it clear on the website that there is a surcharge for those rooms.
Everything was excellent. There is a bar -- excellent There is restaurant -- excellent
Hotel great, harbor beautiful.
Parking fees especially when you are spending a weekend there.
The location and room layout
No microwave in room
The staff at the desk was great. The view was excellent and the rooms were very neat.
The house keeping staff came late in the day.
The newness of the area and hotel, the restaurant food and ambience, the harbor view, the staff was very professional and pleasant. The fact that it catered to couples more..The access to transportation in and out of DC!
The parking garage, the price of the food in the restaurant, the shops closed too early upon our return from sightseeing.
Staff Location Check in / out process
Mold on the bathroom shower wall Room had funny smell, kind of damp and musty
The harbor view from our hotel room, the variety of foods, the harbor cruises, the night life of entertainment and excellent shopping.
