received a room with a king bed and booked 2 doubles they had no room to switch

First of all we looked everywhere for the WESTIN but it is now the Omni- which you didn't notify me In addition- bookings didn't push my servation through - so I had to rebook at desk The staff very nice but severly understaffed especially at car park and service. Concierge working front desk couldn't help us get dinner reservations

The conference was well organized.

From the time of my arrival I repeatedly attempted to book an extra night, but was informed the hotel was full. No reception staff ever got back to me about this request and after much persistence on my part, two days later I was advised to telephone central reservations after 4 am in the morning!!! In fact, I telephoned at 6.30 am and managed to book an extra night. However, this cost me 50% more and I was required to move rooms, from one tower to the next and all under my own steam. No offer to assist was made - but then this appears to be the 'Westin Way'. Net result, I will avoid this hotel chain for the rest of my life. Indeed, 10 days later I refused to dine at the Bourbon Steak restaurant in San Francisco, because it is located within the Westin Hotel there. A truly appalling hotel experience, reminiscent of the old Soviet Union, where customers count for nothing because of the bean counters and centralized control.

Well the mini bar was complitlty empty , no soft drinks no chocolates or any thing ! No slippers which is strange for Westin . Other than that it was great and clean.

We had an amazing time. The staff was great, the front desk was superb answering our needs (I believe her name was Samantha), she made our stay more special than we expected. and our room was fantastic.

Needs guest parking free

The hotel is very formal and conveniently located for the formal event we had at the Rhode Island Convention Center.

There were a few things that were bothersome considering the price and reputation - first, there was something wet and sticky on the carpet floor. Second, the shower was broken and only half worked. Third, the mini bar was not stocked and would not work when plugged in to use when we provided our own drinks. Finally, the elevator key card access was a pain, and left us travelling up and down at crazy speeds trying to get it to accept our card and light up our floor. These are not problems I would expect from a hotel with such high reputation and class, maybe at a motel.

It was noisey and too busy.

Staff were extremely courteous and helpful.

If you like being in the heart of a city, you will like the hustle and bustle of this place. It is physically linked to the mall, convention center,and parking garage on different levels.

Very little presence of any staff.
