Loved the 24 hr check in
The cleanliness was a shock... a good shock. The bed was super comfortable. Staff were very polite, and the food at red lantern and the margaritas were worth it.
The noise in the next room, you can hear pretty good through the door thats connected but closed and locked. And also it would have been awesome to Heat up leftover food with a microwave but theres none in the rooms.
The location was great. the value was great. the staff was nice. Room was very clean.
The pillows were was overstuffed and I had trouble sleeping on them. I wish I had said something to see if they had a normal pillow. My bad.
Great location, the rooms were very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Loved the location, walking distance to many attractions. Great options for restaurants both in the hotel and near by. Loved the Thai food at Bahn Thai. The hotel staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Great Hotel!!
The hotel was well located in Fairbanks, being near Ft. Wainwright and the Steese Highway.
The room was comfortable and clean. The employees were very pleasant. The breakfast buffet was good, especially the eggs benedict. Plenty of parking, and in downtown Fairbanks that's saying something.
we arrived one day early and the front staff were excellent in accommodating use, even though it was my mistake on the date of arrival
no shopping facilities with in a walking distance
Breakfast buffet was excellent.
I likes the efficient and polite service of the receptionists. The room was clean, the bathroom was immaculate, and the shower water actually got hot, which I've noticed it most hotels it doesn't.
The drain in the tub was slow, so while showering I was standing in an inch or two of water. Also, anytime a toilet flushed somewhere else, the toilet in our room made a gurgling bubble up noise.
Freindly Staff, Clean, convenient location, Lots of parking, great lobby, coffee shop and gift shop, secure at night, great restaurant
We got a suite, It was great but it was a little smaller than I was expecting. No pool or hot tub.
Nice big queen beds, firm Roomy room
No small refrigerator The loud flush toilet noise
We stayed in several locations as we traveled the State of Alaska. Making our reservations in advance for most layovers. The Westmark was by far the best in every category. The rooms were clean and well supplied with everything we needed. The staff was excellent, answering every question and happy to make suggestions. We were so impressed with our accommodations that on our return from the Arctic Circle, we stopped in to see if they had rooms available for another night. This is a very busy Hotel as they run many tours from this facility. The staff runs like a well oiled machine. Even with the lobby full of people getting ready for bus tours, they were able to take care of other guest like ourselves without delay. Very well done Westmark!
Very clean, modern.
No microwave, no fridge. Seems like a place for business travelers, not vacationers. But still good compared to other options.
Very clean! Great staff!
Room was in older part of hotel and noisey.
Breakfast at northern latitudes
Shower head was not functioning like it should. When we called before going, we were told there was a microwave. No microwave and with kids a small refrigerator would have been nice too. Bit expensive for not having either available.
My room was wonderful; comfortable, and the placement with trees by my window was an added refreshing bonus. Also the staff: helpful, friendly, and pleasant.
First impression was deceiving. I initially felt that hotel lobby in need of update: couches/leather were worn. Also no coffee :(
we were on a Princess Tour, would have liked to stay near the river
we had to walk a long distance to find a reasonably priced breakfast or any food.
No room service only from 10 am to 11 pm, no free continental breakfast it was 10.99. I reserved a 2 queen executive suite. got to my room it was a king bed called down to front desk and they moved me to 804, so took all my stuff to room 804 all the way across the other end, then went down to get my key, they weren't sure if it was a 2 queen executive suite. finally I got my room half hour later few rooms down from the first room I went into. I dont like the fact they dont have bell men, as a former concierge and bell men this frustrated me.
Staff & food was great.
Location...wish closer to river. A little high priced for the facility. Have stayed in better hotels for lower rates
Very clean rooms and comfortable beds
Extremely long wait time after ordering breakfast
We have stayed at Westmark Hotel previously and never had any problems. However, this stay was problematic from the beginning. We were given economy rooms when in fact we had booked two Deluxe Double rooms. When we asked about changing rooms to the Deluxe we had paid for, staff never apologize for the downgrade in room. However, we were eventually given two Deluxe rooms. Another problem was that only one of our rooms received maid services. We had to ask for clean towels when we returned back to the hotel later at night on our second day. We notified front desk, no apologies was issued and we were told to make sure that Do Not Disturb sign was was not on the door. We explained that we had not put Do Not Disturb sign up in any of the two rooms we had. I didn't like having to beg the hotel to clean up my room. Definitely would consider staying at another hotel next time.
