I did not like that the last night of my 7 day stay was billed at "tourist" rates, rather than at the rate I had been paying. Also that the complimentary breakfast ended on May 13 for all residents, not just the tour groups.

The temperature in the room was really hot/ theres no ventilation for fresh air in the room.. but other than that everything was great.

The entrance and room were clean. Most of the staff were accommodating, and if we needed more towels, etc., they were given to us.

1. The young girl in the gift shop was not helpful at all. She was more concerned with her computer than waiting on customers. 2. Our coffee cups were never cleaned, or we were never given new cups. 3. One time, one maid said she could not return to clean our room, so the beds were never made on that particular day.

the construction crew starting work at 8:00 Sunday morning and the semi idling outside of our window (we understand why, just not where...) all night long.

Even though we stayed in a no smoking room it still smelled of cigarette smoke. I think that smoke must get into the hotel ventilation system from the large number of people who smoke outside of the hotel. I recommend not allowing people to smoke near these ventillation systems.

Room was spacious and clean

Staff from restaurant were rude and the front desk staff were not very accommodating even when it came to simply asking for a corscrew.

I didn't like how the smoking section was right outside my window and people were partying til at least 6 am.

Near to Downtown, clean, friendly staff. The Room was ok.

Wifi only in common spaces and in some rooms, not everywhere. But honestly that was not a great problem.

No shuttle service. Hotel is extremely biased towards the Holland America tour groups - a disadvantage if travelling independently. Restaurants could offer no advice re gluten free options (seemed to not understand the issue at all).

Free parking

They pretend to be a conference center, but do not have internet access in rooms and very slow - in public areas. When I say to the manager that I would never book a room in their hotel if I know that they have poor access to internet, I was answered: "well... somebody else would book..." I will never ever stay in this hotel.

The restaurants are overpriced and low quality. The lack of a shuttle is a big minus and the hotel is not really within walking distance to anything. It is apparent that the hotel's focus is on people taking cruises. If you are there for any other purpose, the amenities are not good.

Very nice. They had only reservation for 1 room not 2 as booked. They gave us another room.

The hotel had a very relaxing but professional and well-managed ambience. The lobby gives a good first impression because it felt like I was waling into a place that was designed and maintained with care and attention. My room was also very well-done, with a really comfortable bed, a desk, a very comfortable easy chair, and a large dressing room/bathroom vanity area. It felt like I could hang out in there for awhile if I wanted to without feeling cramped or boxed in. In fact, I did spend some time in my room one evening and it was very comfortable and pleasant. It helped that outside my window were leafy trees which made my view, which overlooked the parking lot, very pretty. I also liked that my room was very, very clean and had little amenities like a hair dryer and coffee maker. All this for a very reasonable price.

My room was in the south tower, second floor. I liked to open the window for fresh air. Unfortunately, employees were constantly stepping outside the building by about 5 feet, standing near the back entrance, and smoking. So every time I would get a nice fresh breeze, it would be followed by lots of strong cigarette smoke. I would strongly suggest that the Westmark create a smoking area that is further away from the building or in a well-ventilated structure. Being exposed to second-hand smoke because a visitor opens the window is not right.

Very quiet! Everything was simple and worked. Thick curtains. Excellent, friendly staff.

Size of our room was very small.

It was easy to find, had excellent parking facilities (there was one I stayed at where I had to pay to park at the Westmark I was staying at) Centrally located and the staff was courteous and helpful. Felt safe staying there, too.

Not enough pillows for the bed!

Room was nice and big. Bed was great. It was within walking distance of downtown.

Room on the first floor was noisy. Lots of doors opening/closing in the hallway and thuds/clunks as if someone were unloading cargo in a nearby room.

No wifi in room!
