Wyndham Glenview Suites  

There was a very nice park space across the street..lots of looping, wooded and meadow trails that were perfect for a morning run/walk. Spacious enough suite, albeit a bit generic and dated.

Aside from the park, the area is quite hideous...highways, strip malls, etc. But we were visiting someone in Glen View and ambiance was not high on the list; it was all about convenient location.

When I called from the airport for the shuttle, they said that hotel was overbooked but we could come anyway. Then after waiting 45 minutes for the shuttle I called again and they told us not to come and that we should find a different hotel on our own as they didn't want to help us.) I told them I wasn't waiting at the airport for another hour and we got on the shuttle anyway. When we got to the hotel they tried to send us to another one. After waiting 45 minutes for their shuttle from the airport, we did not want to have to go to another hotel. Booking.com was great, but the hotel was not very helpful. The shuttle was fully booked for the next morning (we tried to book the night before), so we had to pay $34 for a taxi to the airport, and the hotel didn't provide any compensation for this. At 3:00 am water started pouring into our bathroom from the room above, making it difficult to sleep. The hotel deducted $20 for the $150 bill for the inconvenience. (I expected more than that.) I offered my Wyndam Rewards number when checking in and they didn't want to enter it. I'm sure there must be better hotels for less money than this one.

Always enjoy the rooms, very nice layout.

Stayed several times before. They struggle to keep pool and hot tub in good condition. Definitely not their priority.

It is convenient to the train station, it is quiet and comfortable.

Nice to have a suite with 2 rooms, I liked the Atrium and the glass wall elevators, and used the fridge and microwave to make breakfast in our room in the morning. The breakfast in the Atrium looked like it might be nice also, though we didn't try it.

Everything. The pool, workout room, the suites and mostly the price.

The facility was very run down - my bed was worn out and uncomfortable, the couch sank down so far I could not sit on it.

quality and tast of food is not good

Facility was run down and poorly managed. The cleaning crew "forgot" to service our room and when we notified the front desk, they told us that they were sorry to hear that our room had been missed, but the housekeepers were gone for the day. We tracked down the person on duty and requested clean towels. The drapes in our room were so old, we could see sunlight coming through the worn holes in the morning. The structure doesn't appear more than ten years Old, but the interior finishes, carpet, furniture etc are all very worn and reminded us of a run down motel on the highway in a rural area.

As of 6/18/2012, my checking account activity statement shows that I was charged $799.90 , which has been debited to my account. The charge invoice given to me at the hotel front desk, when I checked-out indicates total charges amounting to $581.12. What appears, at this moment,is that there has been an over-charge of $218.78, I am, at this point, assuming that this is some sort of duplication of charges which will be reversed in the immediate future. I will be focused on the application of this credit. If your records indicate anything contrary to my expectations, you would be well advised to e-mail me early-on.

Clean, comfortable and attractive surroundings.

Lighting -- especially the bathroom. Cfl bulbs do not emit the proper light like incandescent bulbs. Sorry about the eco thing you are trying to do, but that is reality!

It was the right place and the right price. Convenient. The food at the event we came for (which was held in the ballroom) was absolutely terrible.

Unsere Suite war sehr groß und geraeumig! Mitarbeiter sind sehr Freundlich und Hilfsbereit. Die Innenanlage des Hotels ist sehr schön angelegt und lädt zum verweilen ein. Empfehlenswert!

Eine Seite des Hotels liegt zu einem Highway Richtung Chicago! Das war uns trotz Laermschutzfenster zu laut und wir konnten Aber problemlos das Zimmer wechseln! Vielleicht einfach gleich beim Check in darauf achten! Nach Chicago sind es ca noch 40 Minuten, da dort scheinbar immer Stau ist!

The Atrium was nice the rooms were ok

The Elevators were very slow the wait for an elevator was unbearable. I've stayed in other Hotels that after the breakfast Buffet is closed one would still be able t place an order from the menu. At the Wyndham they shut down everything and wee were directed off property along the highway or to another Hotel to buy our breakfast. Not good.I Requested a kettle to make tea and all over that big Hotel they said they did not have one. I am a senior and I was travelling with my aged father

Hotel was quite nice, particularly so for the very reasonable price.

The only breakfast abailable was a full buffet. It would have been nice to have a smaller breakfast available. Also without the full breakfast, only pots of coffee were available and it would have been nice to be able to get individual cups of coffee.

Excellent room with a great bed

Given the size of the hotel, it was wired that most of the time of my stay on,y one of the three elevators worked....
