It has the ability to be a great place. I think the guy put my card number in wrong so my card was not accepted, I knew I had money so I asked him to run it again, He got mad and yelled it was not accepted so I told him I am traveling I just checked my balance online and that it should not be. After 5 minutes of arguing he ran my card and it was accepted. Customer service is how you keep repeat customers not fighting with them.
Everything was within reason
Manager kept trying to put me in a smoking room.
I reserved a room here and when I arrived there was no vacancy, and he still charged me...
1.Shortage of towels 2.No extra blanket to provide 3.NOT FRIENDLY!
price was far too much for a place to just sleep.
Leaving parking lot for good !!!
I will start with the room. It's very small and only one bed. The bathrooms did not look clean. The shower is very small. There was an odor as soon as we walked in door. I could tolerate that probably, but when we first pulled in parking lot, there was a Sheriffs officer outside a room. Looks like he was interviewing a few people, one may have been in cuffs. I had my son with me and obviously one bed wouldn't work, but we didn't feel safe at all. So I went into the front desk area to talk to the international owners, to see about a refund. They barely spoke English. They told me too bad, no refunds. So I just tossed them the key and said we are leaving. When we walked back to the car, two more officers were in the parking lot. It definitely looked like something was going down. So we go to the Clarion by the airport, which was incredibly perfect, and told the check in people our story. They immediately said that place was for drugs and prostitutes.... scary !!! My opinion is spend a little more money and stay away. It's not worth it !!!!
The walls were dirty and in dire of a "good" paint job. The doors, door handles, walls were filthy. The carpet had dead bugs all along the wall, just use the attachment with vaccum! The toilet leaked so bad we had to put paper towels down so we wouldn't walk in it. They had two coffee cups which was perfect for a couple but would only leave one packet with one cream and sugar. We went to office at 7:30 a.m. to ask for more just to get owner out of bed. He gave us "one" more packet. The next morning, again, one packet! We will not stay here again. For $20 more we will stay at a better establishment and drive a little further to Asheville.
It is only twelve minutes out of downtown...
The room that contained the ice machine was nightmare fuel. It definitely needed a light. Anytime a neighboring room took a shower or flushed the toilet, it sounded like it was also in your room. The drink machine is the manager behind the counter, and is a bit grouchy as well as it has not been restocked in a while. The mini fridge looked like nobody has ever tried to clean it, and there were little presents left for you that were as welcomed as a sweater your grandmother knitted you. Definitely had to wear flip flops in the shower. Beds were harder that the ground we camped on the night before.
The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the air and wi-fi worked. The staff was very pleasant; they found time to turn the air on before we got there (we booked it on the fly July 4 and showed up about 15 minutes later). All in all it was a positive experience.
Nothing comes to mind.
Short drive to downtown but without having to stay at a more exclusive hotel
The place seemed old and dumpy. They should be charging half as much or completely remodel. Bathroom tiles and sink look like they have been used for decades.
The location was close to where we needed to be. The room was clean and a fair size.
The price seemed high for what we got, 4 people in the room and we were only given 2 towels, and they looked to be about 50 years old. There were 2 outlets in the room and we're used for the tv and lights. So in order to plug in charhers, computers etc we had to unplug something else. There were no outlets in the bathroom, so the hair dryer and electric razor had to be used in the room.
The grounds were well kept. My room had new/large flat panel TV with expanded cable, quiet and private(air con unit created nice white noise ), new paint and carpet, wifi was strong enough to watch YouTube videos about Asheville etc, new comforter and window treatments, 5-10 minutes to downtown, grocery and restaurants were close by, all rooms on main floor, owner was nice, in-room coffee pot, micro and med-sized fridge were all clean and seemed to be new. The ice machine worked well.
Ok. So here's the deal. This is a great room for the price. You can get more at another motel for double the price but if you just use the room mostly to sleep and your out to explore the city and mountains , it's fine. The bathroom was clean though bathtub tile and tile behind sink had a few fixed cracks and it was old...but it was clean. There were a few water stains on ceiling( they had a tough winter) and I'd give the bed 7 out of 10 for comfort. The owner needs to adjust the water flow in toilet to allow more water to flush properly. The pros far outweigh the cons. The motel looks better in person than the pictures convey.
Accidentally booked a smoking room with a queen bed and got a 2 queen bed room smoking. I asked if they could switch me to a non smoking room and they said no because that is what I asked for and that they were all booked up. Well, that was a lie because the whole time I was there they were not booked up. No one wants a smoking room anymore and they didn’t want to give up a non-smoking room on the chances it might get filled but they were not booked up. It was just for 2 days and I felt that was just bad customer service.
Nice quiet motel and friendly staff- very nice place and would definitely come back to stay.
Room was filthy. It smelled so bad I had to sleep with door open. I will never go back. Do your self a favor, and spend the extra money, or just sleep in your vehicle.
Nothing, do not stay here!
Black mold in the bathroom. Owners very rude and refused us a refund of the remaining 6 days booked. Had to have booking.com get my refund. I have been sick for several days after staying there.
It was quiet, clean, and in a great location surrounded by restaurants.
The Wi-fi pw they gave didn't work. Fortunately we had our own hot spot router.
it was trashy
Nice restful clean hotel
It's clean, relatively cheap, and usually available even when there's something big going on in town.
Rooms are small. Staff is almost comically rude. Heating and cooling unit is ridiculously loud. It's a $15 cab ride to downtown.
