The bed was nice The staff was rude and refused to allow me to talk to the GM I also left a message for the GM and was never called back. We also needed to pay for parking? What kind of rip off is that? |

Np problems with the hotel, but see comment about safety however felt a bit unsafe outside the hotel. Preferred to take taxi further towards the centre before walking. |

Staff, design, restaurant. All the homeless/troubled individuals nearby asking for things constantly. |

Reception and concierge were very friendly and helpfull, particularly the concierge who went to great lengths’ to arrange changes to car hire for us. The Restaurant staff at breakfast were less than helpful and made a great point about the bill not including a tip, despite the level of service not warranting a tip. |

I liked the close proximity to the Orpheum Theatre and to shopping at the Westfield Mall and Union Square. The breakfast in the restaurant was very good and room service was prompt! |

The lobby area is grand, the location is good. It needs to be refurbished and regain its past classiness!! |

The rate. Can't be beaten. Also: this historic feeling. Like you could bump on Sam Spade any time. Smell of old building. Tenderloin nearby. |

Visited San Francisco, shopping and dining etc over a 4 day vacation with my girlfriend The bathroom, though clean, was very minimal and seemed old |

The bed was wonderful. The air conditioner was working and quiet enough. For an inexpensive hotel in San Francisco, it was very nice. The bathroom and shower left a little to be desired. Nothing horrible, but the shower was a little dirty looking, so I threw a towel on the floor of the shower to stand on. But really, it wasn't horrible, but needed a good bleaching. |

Free wi fi in the Lobby, but the signal isn't strong enough in the rooms. Even if the room was a non-smokers it smelled like it. |

Service when registering was very slow. At approx 4pm in the afternoon there should have been more than 1 person dealing with registration |

I absolutely loved the history room, without the pictures nailed down. I love the marble, wood ceiling, all the different languages I heard, Starbucks out the front door, the convenience to the BART, and the sense that the staff loved being there. Best hotel experience ever. I have already told many, many people about this place. |

The cheaper parking, close to the theater, Mission grill, the bar, and Starbucks near by. Vallet parking should have been in front, not down the alley. |

I liked the Hotel museum, the bar, the room. I did not like some of the front desk people and that the room did not really get cleaned. |

We liked the beautiful lobby and elevators and wide hallways. We liked the friendly staff that greeted us at the door - luggage porter - and the housekeeping staff. Handy to bart and other transit. We would like a coffee maker in the room - Starbuck's was always overcrowded in the morning. Noisy outdoors in the wee hours of the morning - laundry and hotel loading of vehicle? |
