Good location and comfortable sleep. I left my brand new running shoes under the bed and when I called to talk to the lost and found no one returned my call.

The accommodations were beautiful and it was in a perfect location to many different activities. The staff was incredibly rude. Everyone from the bellboy who yelled at a Russian tourist for her attitude and not understanding him to the check in gentleman who also accused them of pretending to not speak English.

Location was civic center station on the bart There is black mold in the building. We asked to change rooms and they upgraded us two times during the 4 dayswe stayed there. All three rooms we were moved to had mold . You could see it in the bathrooms. We both got really mold sick by the last day. We had to change hotels in the middle of the night . After we got back to dallas we were sick the next 7 days . Mold effects your brain the most. It is awful. Beware

The ambiance of an era gone by. Location. Too far from the center of town, and too close to the Bart location. Too many homeless.

We got an upgrade on arrival. The hotel looks gorgeous inside, like traveling to the past. The staff in the check in counter was totally helpful the first day. I liked the room, really cozy and with the view to the UN Plaza. Starbucks in the lobby and nice food around. Muni and BART stations rite in front. I enjoyed myself. Scary people outside sometimes... but I guess it is due to the area, I don't think there is anything the hotel people can do. No safety box in the room.

Close to the centre of town. On the main road. Bus stop outside. Starbucks right next door. Onsite gym. Chandeliers and ornate ceilings. Friendly staff. The bums outside. They didn't bother me but did yell some rude comments at hubby as he wouldn't give them money (and hubby is a big guy!)

The history and location of the hotel was great. The hallways and architecture are PHENOMINAL for those who like historic hotels. Television sets are old.

East access from public transportation (BART) hotel and city noise loud making it difficult to sleep at night. We requested a roll away bed and when it came it was filthy. Lobby full of street people using restrooms that aren't supposed to be public, making kids scared to use the restroom.

The room was very nice and the restaurant was excellent. The wireless internet was almost useless for my purposes in my room but excellent in the lobby. The hotel needs to dramatically improve the signal strength and bandwidth for the wireless internet service in the rooms. FYI, my room was 587.

We received an upgrade upon arrival. Nicely decorated room and very quite. The bathroom was very clean but a little bit dated. The fan was noisy. It would be great if the curtains could be closed. The morning light woke us up.

The location, near the theater. Also great food at the restaurant. The fact our reservation was "lost" because our name was misspelled. And the staff acted like we were nuts.

The staff were very nice, and the room was very spacious. Our bed was quite comfortable and the room was clean and in good condition. We would have preferred a safe in our room (rather than using a small safety deposit box at reception) as we were unable to safely store laptops/iPads etc. A light in entrance to the room and the wardrobe would have been beneficial. The location isn't wonderful, its not the best area in town, however we didn't have any problems there was just a lot of homeless people begging in the street.
