    This hotel is on the street car route for the F line. It's also at a Bart and Muni station so ease of access to public transit is fantastic.

    The wireless was strong and connected without issue. However, with only 1.5mb speeds, this Internet access operates slower than dialup with everyone in the hotel using it. My wife and I were forced to tether our devices to my phone for the week that we stayed Hotel Whitcomb.

    The fact that I could literally walk out the door and get on the Bart. Starbucks inside the hotel.

    It is not in the best neighborhood. Lots of homeless people.

    This historic hotel, carefully maintained, with large bedrooms and elegant lobby and hallways, is a gem. For not much less we could have stayed at a boring chain airport hotel so this beautiful hotel is good value for San Francisco. Perfect location for taking the F trolley anywhere.

    Location was good, staff very friendly. Small workout room and large ornate lobby made it nice. Great cafe right across the street (Sam's) we ate for nearly all our meals. We had a clogged toilet that the maintenance man cleared and cleaned almost immediately.

    Beds were strangely bowed and gave me a bit of a backache. Some of the concierges abandoned post at strange times, some ill-informed. Lobby and mezanine bathrooms strangely not available to guests. Coffee in rooms or lobby would have been nice, except there was a Starbucks that shared a lobby (perpetually long lines).

    Hotel itself is beautiful and historic

    Rooms are cramped Bathroom is smaller than what you might find on a boat Beds are concave and full of springs Location is convenient to subway but in bad area Street noise kept us up at night

    Very friendly staff. Comfortable beds, quiet rooms facing away from Market Street. Right at BART station. Good restaurant.

    Small bathroom with no shelves or even soap dish in shower. Street denizons on Market Street.

    Easy access from airport and further access to city, although the F-line is crowdy and with very little capacity. We had two days and did not explore any other options. Wonderful exterior of the hotel, though an upgrade of interior needed.

    We had a dialogue about upgrading to a larger room/suite, but suddenly this was forgotten. Wifi was up and down, maybe to few access points? The area is full of homeless people.

    The location is fantastic - close to bart and trolly - just outside the door!

    The staff act like they are there against their will. Slow, and not courteous at all. and IF they vacuum your room do not expect them to move furniture. I dropped something behind a chair - the dust bunnies were massing for attack!

    It has a ton of classic charm.

    The surrounding area is a little creepy. That would be the case for any hotel in that area, including the Ritz.

    Location was spot on near the local transport. Restaurants close by

    Staff could have been friendlier. Missed a coffee maker in the room. Needs a touch up. Not all the lights worked.

    Beautiful hotel love the Starbucks next door. Friendly staff, awesome door men and bell hop.

    Rooms are on the smaller side for the price. No amenities for the price.

    Christina is very helpful

    i made my booking as a superior category and they put me into a room outside exit sign by the stairway room was so bad i ask front desk if there is another room and they said they are sold out and if i want there is a standard room available and advise me to check with them everyday if there is a superior available i dont have choice i took the standard and i ask if my payment category will it change (and this rude staff answer me that is your choice to move to standard room so i cant do anything about that.) we stayed for 2 nights at that tiny and dirty room. after 2 nights of hill stayed to that room they have a superior room available and we move , room is a little bigger but the room is still dirty, when you walk the floor is squeaking bad experience :(:(:(:(:(
