Loved the private hot tub and the fire pit.
Poor connectivity to wifi.
I loved that it was literally home away from home. My kids loved it and being able to cook there made it less expensive and less stressful!
The beds need some huge updating. That was the only not good thing about it!
it was close enough to everything with its own little quiet place to return to.
needs updated, only 1 t.v. for 3 bedroom, and beds not so good.
1. Space 2. Leaving
1. Was outdated and dirty 2. Website said plush bedding...all beds were horrible! 3. Stocked trout pond...LOL...no fish in that puddle they call a pond. 4. Heat in only one area...bedrooms freezing. 5. My wife and I travel a lot and this was the worst place we have ever stayed at....save your money and stay home or find another place to stay. I feel I am being to kind!
The location was great. Appliances and bathrooms were clean.
The place we stayed was not very clean. There where spider webs and dust in nearly every corner. Bugs in the light fixtures and under the stove. Doors did not lock properly. Water pressure was awful.
Typically we stay at another resort down the road but they were all booked up this particular weekend. We came across Wildcat resort and took a chance. The unit was very large and more than enough room for our 6 travelers. Everything was clean and there were plenty of necessities such as soap, pillows, cookware, etc available. We will definitely go back.
We came in after dark and we're not familiar with the resort so we struggled a bit to find our unit. The office was closed by this time so we had to stop and ask another guest for help to find it. Better lighting and signage would have been a huge help.
Good design/layout at the ski house for two families. Nice large dining room table. We loved the interior and private access to the pool. Nice flat screen TV. Adequate wifi access.
The kitchen in the ski house is poorly equipped and minimally maintained. We experienced problems with weak water pressure and shifts from hot to cold water. There is a great deck, but no screens on the doors and missing screens on some windows.
The plsce has great location and the town house is relativeley well-maintained.
We requested a baby crib/mattress in advance but did not get any. I came to the reception asking for help ( also other stuff weren't wirking like DVD etc.) but the man there prefered reading his "Tom Clancey" novel instead of really helping. I finally got him to promise to call the owner but never heard from him and of course nothing was resolved! That's all I'mgoing to remember from this place!!
i loved the fact that we had an entire chalet to ourselves with one bedroom loft. We never used the pull out couch but u could use that for children if u needed to. We had one a wonderful hot tub and were able to relax with glass of wine at end of day. Chalet is surrounded by woods and natural rocky river with Beautiful trails to walk. Location is good.... Near restaurants and ski facilities.
No daily housekeeping. We were there for four days and were given enough towels. But it would have been nice to receive fresh towels daily so we didn't have to worry. No stove to cook. Just microwave.
Great place!! 5 stars
Only slight negative is place rsn out of hot water after 5 people showering. Also shower pressure could be better.
- easy access to all things you can do in and around the white mountains - house was clean and we loved the nice details as lovley arranged cleaning products for diswasher and washing machine, even dish soap, garbage bags and so on - the staff was very nice - we were 6 people and had lots of space
- the mattresses were old and not really comfy but okay for only a weekend
Clean, large, good location
Nothing there except the condo
Wifi Living space fine
Grill falling apart, refrigerator broken drawer, no patio door handle, loud beds
Ca 1980s ski chalets, but much better furnished and maintained than I expected. Exceptionally clean and very pleasant. Very quiet-buried in the woods and isolated but convenient to the Conways and Jackson. The closest place to Mt Washinton to stay. Staff low key but helpful.
The place was very clean. It was fully equipped for cooking and was like a hotel in that it had tissues, paper towels, bedding, soap, etc.
Beds need mattress covers on them.
Plenty of room for our family to spread out. 5 miles to Pinkham Notch. Will certainly come back if hiking Mt Washington or skiing Wildcat Mtn.
Kids enjoyed the pool Wifi worked decent enough Lots of room to sleep
Adults wouldn't touch the pool. Very little lighting in the pool house. The few pictures I could find online didn't represent the actual building. LEAKY SHOWER, I had to tie a plastic bag around the shower head and tie it to the shower knob to make a path for the water to follow so it wouldn't drip as loud. Called the resort on numerous occasions before and during our stay but had absolutely no response. Saw some staff and told them about the leaky shower head. They sent someone to fix it while we were out.... but when my wife attempted to have a shower and couldn't get the shower to turn on without getting help as it was twisted so far in the off position that it was basically stuck... and it was still dripping then. After her shower it continued to drip drip drip drip drip... Coffee Maker didn't work. Upstairs loft tv had no cable and only had a VCR connected to it. Our kids were amazed! Upstairs room had a cable wire and wall plate that was ripped from the wall that was somewhat connected to the tv... but it was unwatchable due to the static. You could make out a picture if you held the wire just right. Overall not worth the price. If we hadn't spent the money upfront we would have left there immediately and found a hotel to stay in. I wouldn't mind staying here with a few guys out on a ski trip where all you want to do is ski, have a few beer and a BBQ.... but there wasn't a BBQ either.
facilities were tired and in need of some basic TLC
location worked well for us. furnishings, drapes, linens all seemed new. kitchen and bathrooms also looked pretty new. adequate dishes, pans etc. dishwasher and washer and dryer.
unit itself a bit dull and tatty but really not a problem. key was left for us so we never saw any staff at all but again this wasnt really a problem for us. upstairs was pretty warm while downstairs was chilly. we were out so much we didnt bother fiddling with heat or a/c.
The location was great. The resort was easy to find; since I had read previous reviews that stated it was actually the Dana Place Inn I had no trouble finding it at all. the grounds were well maintained and nicely landscaped with plants and flowers.
I found the unit that we stayed in to be dirty, and minimally decorated which did not lend to the homey environment that I was expecting. We found hair in the beds, the carpets were dirty and damp, there was buggy dust (for lack of a better description) on the lamps and end tables, and there weren't any pictures on the walls, which made the living room area look barren and uninviting. It was nice to see a selection of VHS tapes on the shelves, but there wasn't a VCR to play them in! I had booked this for my brother's family and mine, and I was embarrassed by the state of the unit--my teenage nieces were kind of grossed out by it all. Considering all of these issues, I think that the price was exorbitant.
not good for eight people as stated in the advertisement. good for 6 -7 if you could include breakfast in the package
The location is good...near good hiking.
Our accommodation (The Sleigh House) was across the street from the Wildcat Inn on The Dana Place Inn (which is closed). There is no phone or way to contact anyone when we started experiencing problems (primarily plumbing issues!). There was no one available to repair the problems and when the owner was contacted, his response was disrespectful to me and his staff. Fortunately, the owner did finally come through and reversed the charge for two of the three nights we stayed there.
I did not like anything about this resort!! Kinda hoping for a refund.
I felt very unsafe the doors didnt lock properly, there were way too many bugs inside. The pool was disgusting and smelled very bad, my daughter was terrified and cried she didnt want to stay! Did not like the fact of my key being left outside on the door, how do I know somebody didnt make a copy of it? The pool door didnt lock so anyone could walk in! I would not recommend this place to any family and its not worth what I paid and im asking for a refund!!!
The unit was very clean and spacious with a fully stocked kitchen, large living dining area, 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths with w/d.
Never met the staff. The pool could use some updating.
Cabin was very inviting and spacious
