Loved the private oasis pool area, yet so close to ALL the Key West sights.
Checking in was stressful. I did not realize that they only took one nights fees from my credit card when I booked. I was extra paranoid, because another person checking in was having issues with their reservation at the same time.
Loved the location and the way the complex is set up.
The room we stayed in needed updating. There was mildew in the bathroom and chipping paint on ceilings and walls. The matress was old and not the most comfortable. The location, breakfast, and pool made up for all of its shortcomings
On Duval street but still quiet. Pool nice and rooms clean.
The bed was old and poor sleeping experience due to hard mattress.
Loved the location. Large room. Clean.
Rack rate is $350-400 a night x 18 rooms. Think they could invest in a little upgrade? Parking is 8 spaces made from 4 so row one is trapped in by the second. "Breakfast" is 100% carbs. Zero view.
Location was great.
Bed matress was very old and extremely uncomfortable. We could feel the springs. We felt like we were sleeping on a bad sofa bed.
Stayed in 4A perfect location. Very nice island type furniture. Front porch for people watching was perfect. House keeping very good. I heard other people complaining. My response is this is not fancy. You are in key West. This is perfect for the culture. If you want fancy try the Westin
Water could have been warmer.
Did not receive room that we booked back in July for this trip in Feb. No comment when checking in that they changed us to something smaller. Had to speak to a manager next day and he just said sorry. Asked why they didn't contact us or something,no reply. We booked in July for Feb. because it was our 50th anniversary the day before Valentines Day. He finally gave a a minimal discount. He told us not to talk to anyone about this but him. As he turned away he then said Happy Anniversary.
The location was the best part of this guest house
The room was dirty. There was no maid service during our 3 days there. There was no off-street parking and the whole place was messy with construction materials, etc. strewn everywhere
handy to my event
Room was refurb attic. Lousy condition. air conditioner installed in knee wall; unpainted after install. Dorm frig on floor mwave on top; no chair. holes in wall
close to Duval, yet quiet location
very small inside - kitchen is tiny - wifi was finicky
breakfast in the courtyard was nice
beds and mattresses need updating
Location and general experience.
Key for lock very hard to use.
Central Location, Good breakfast
Indifferent reception staff on arrival. ,,Building work in and around pool during our 2 day stay. Room in need of redecorating No guaranteed parking.
closeness to downtown peaceful atmosphere spaciousness
would like to sleep more people
Air conditioner loud coffee maker didn't work bed was firm but make a weird sound with the slights movement. tv clicker didn't work
Location wad good
We booked 5 nights we spent the 1st night in a dark dingy little room with no hotwater! When brought to their attention we were asked if we had let the water run for 20 min. What?? We did that and, still no hotwater. The hotel staff treated us like we were being nuisances. The room was also dirty. They did move us to a different room where we got no maid service at all the next day . Would not stay there again.
Court yard was nice With pool and grill. Location was good
no parking had to pay $25 per day to park down the street. And a cat pissed in the bathroom. Stinky
It was well worth mony and location is good. I unfortunately fell in bathroom and sliced nose open but they were extremely nice and concerned. Manager gave me his personal cell number and card in case of any further issues .He also said if visiting again this winter I was to let him know .
parking to register is a little tight .
The location is good.
The room we had (#5) was filthy and smelled like mold. Could not stay there as planned, checked out early, but no refunds.
Location is good, pool area very nice
First impression at our room door was two broken plastic chairs and an ashtray full of butts. We found the floor to be filthy, white scoks black in minutes. Bathroom smelled musty, full of moldy caulking around tub and again dirty floor. We visit Key West often, this room was the worst we have seen. Room in general quite run down, chipped paint, etc. no wifi in room at all, very behind the times vs. other properties. Definitely was not worth the cost overall.
Location pool area and breakfast were good
We had overall good experience
Great location. Large room with very comfortable bed. Reasonably priced. Good selection for breakfast.
Stayed two nights, but received no housekeeping. Bed not made and no clean towels. No on site parking. Instructed to park in a spot marked tow away zone.
Location. One can walk about anywhere in Key West from the guest house.
Parking is a real challenge. The best option is to park in the Municipal Parking lot at $4 per hour or at a distance from the guest house on a residential sidestreet. Secondly, the rooms in the front of the guest house on Duval Street are noisy at night. The rooms around the pool are probably much quieter and more expensive. This was not an inexpensive place.
