The Manager was very enthusiastic, friendly and helpful. Was great to have 2 rooms next to each other. He was helpful in all info. Wish him luck for his renovations.
There was a bad odour in the rooms. Unsure what it was. One bed had no warm blankets.
Facilities not up-to-date, not enough hot water, limited breakfast quantity and selections
The room was all ready down to the extra bed we had requested. The coffee was strong and breakfast above average. The owner is very friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed getting to know other travelers.
owner is a very nice guy, helps with everything, still new to the motel and trying hard to renovate and improve
A good motel in development. Very very very friendly host. Clean. Okay breakfast. Outside terrace is very nice. Located in a very characteristic Route 66 town.
Wifi did not work. Shower did not work properly. Motel requires updating and a few facilities (like a hair dryer).
nice and motivated owner (it seems to be a one man business). If you like a familiar atmosphere go there, but do not expect service and comfort of bigger motels or enterprises.
Really small bathroom. New beds, but everything else is old. No desk or chair in the room. No hair dryer in the room. Old fashioned tv. Breakfast is small and not before 7.30.
Breakfast was better then usual (I have seen about 12 motel on Route 66).
Wifi was very poor. Room little and style of the original route 66 (so don't expect modern or a modern hotel).
Really friendly staff. Accommodating. Easy access to the Grand Canyon.
The first motel (since 1939) in the historical town Williams. The new owner of the motel is a nice guy.
Absolutely positive surprise. Great Rd66 feeling room style. Friendly staff - you feel like home.
Friendly host Rich made our stay realy pleasant and even helped us retrieve lost luggage by organizing transport to our next location! Also, Grand Motel in Williams is a must for all Route 66 nostalgics.
very friendly staff good breakfast very good coffee spontaneous late check in without any problems very clean
partly older, but renovated facilities.
The new owners are very passionate about their new motel and renovations; our stay was very pleasant. Guests need to remember this is a historic area; our room was small but very clean & comfortable, & included a continental breakfast. The extra information they provided about local & regional attractions and travel time to each was invaluable. We'd stay again!
Clean well, well decorated and excellent host.
Convenient location. The owner of the motel is so friendly and we had a good chat. He told us that they will have renovation to make the motel more comfortable and attractive.
The owners love and dedication to this hotel
Very friendly owners who arranged our helicopter flight to Grand Canyon. The hotel needs remodelling, but Richard's enthousiasm is boundless and the little flaws in the room disappear. Rooms are comfy but small especially the bathroom. We would stay here again!
The new owners of the motel were very helpful, friendly and keen to ensure we enjoyed our stay - which we did! The rooms are clean, basic and good value for money. We would definitely stay again.
The efforts of the personnel Centrally located in town
That the price between booking.com and that of the hotel differed Breakfast could improve somewhat
Beds were very comfy and it was clean. The laminate floors were nice and added to the cleanliness of the place. Owner was super friendly and eager to take care of any needs you had. Outside of building was not appealing but the owners are in the process of remodeling. Don't let the outside put you off. We had a great stay!
Bathroom was very small and had minimal area for toiletries. The air conditioner was fine for one room but not the whole space.
Very friendly owners. They are working very hard to make it a wonderful motel. Location was amazing and they gave us very good tips where to go. We slept like a lion wow nice bed. Would recommend this to everyone!!
Very friendly new owners, some construction work from refurbishing the rooms still in progress. Owners intend to create theme rooms. For a motel they provide an exquisite breakfast including tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, juice, danishes/pastries, croissants, high quality cereals, yoghurt, oatmeal, fresh fruits, granola bars. They contribute to nature protection by providing recyclable paper plates and cups (instead of these horribly environmentally unfriendly styrofoam dishes that you find so often in the US) and biodegradable cutlery (instead of plastic) what I appreciated a lot!
Very friendly, new young owners. Arrived late that night and had an excited owner welcome us and made us feel comfy about our decision.
The Grand is a 1939 motel recently purchased by a young couple with the intent of restoring its historical flavor. The male owner is doing renovations himself and has many good ideas. According to the owner, half the 16 rooms are ready for renting
Perhaps my room was rushed into service to meet the summer demand. 1) The shower wasn't working, the tab in the faucet pulled out, and there was no plug for the tub. The tub drain was full of rust. 2) The toilet was inveniently placed, blocking the bathroom door from closing. 3) When I turned on the air conditioner the cover fell on the floor. 4) The extension cord for the coffee pot had a 2-prong plug which didn't work for 3-prong coffee pot. 5) There was a blackout curtain for one of the windows in the room, but not on the other or on the window in the bathroom. The bathroom door had to be closed to shut out the light, but wouldn't close fully. 6) I was able to get Wi-Fi only one of the 3 times I tried.
Very good location for the Grand Canyon and since it is on Route 66 there are nice shops and restaurants around. We enjoyed very much our walk on Route 66. The owners are very nice and friendly people (and they have a very handsome boy who become our friend:) Although we could not inform them earlier due to connectivity problem, they waited for us to check in until after midnight. We thank you them once more and recommend this place to anyone.
