Location, location, location. Nice firm bed.

The rooms were quite small. If weather was bad (it was lovely) and we were confined to the room, it would almos be catastrophic.

Being on the Gulf + pool. Great restaurant on property.

Location. Hotel was beachfront. Pool side restaurant was nice for lunch. Half priced drinks on Friday night poolside was nice. Quiet beach with no planes dragging banners was also a plus.

Room was small as was bathroom.

Just about everything! Facilities, staff, and cleanliness were wonderful! We would definitely stay here again! Loved the bicycle rentals right at the hotel.

I wish the beach chairs/umbrellas weren't extra to rent! I realize it would be more work for the staff but very few people sat on the beach (including us) and that was one of the reasons to stay here.

My husband and I really enjoyed our experience at West Wind. The place was very clean and well kept. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic!

Everything. It was super awsome to be right on the beach. They even provided shell bags. I liked that there was a small microwave in the room.

The price was kinda outrageous. I had a really hard time making that reservation because it hurt to pay that much for each night. Not much for restuaraunts in the area. When I made the reservation here the total said 466.00 without the 11% tax, but they only took 259 out of my account. Had I not caught that it could have been a disaster.

Very clean! Friendly staff and great waterfront location. Loved the private screened in porches and the shell washing station.

There really wasn't anything that we didn't like. We will definitely come back!

The staff was always pleasant and accommodating. The site was the last along a long line of Gulfside resorts so that the beach was not crowded. It was quiet at night. There was a poolside bar/eatery that was convenient and tasty.

Comfortable hotel, with great pool. Lovely, quiet beach only 50 yards away, with no roads to cross. All rooms have pool or beach view. Good pool bar, and franchised restaurant/bar on site. Bike hire available at hotel.

Need car (or 20 minute bike ride)to get to all other Sanibel restaurants, and attractions

Old beach Florida with some very nice upgrades. Small, relaxing resort. A beautiful beachfront property with excellent Sanibel location. Great service and the food at the beachfront pool bar was very good and reasonably priced.

Wouldn't change a thing.

We liked the proximity to the beach, and easy access. The pool was great, our grandchildren enjoyed it since the weather was too cold and windy for the beach. Our rooms were clean, your staff, what little contact we had with them. We loved the croissants at breakfast! Service all around was good, although the pool ran out of towels by about 4 PM.

We didn't like the soft mattress nor the fact that the cover was so noisy.

The proximity to the beach was key for me. Our room overlooked a pool area with a clear view of the water and sunsets beyond. It was lovely. The hotel was built in the 1960s; however, it has been updated very adequately. I wanted to stay in a place with some history, and I got exactly that! It was delightful. There were clearly people there who had been visiting for years!

The pillows were uncomfortable. A selection of soft and firm would have been nice.

The view was very nice and the location was ideal for Sanibel. The resaurants at the hotel and elsewhere were uniformly excellent. Sanibel has a lot of activities besides the beach and swimming.

The bathroom was a bit small for our taste.

The location was very nice. The staff were all very nice and accommodating , especially Kim at the front desk. We played tennis, walked on the beautiful beach and rode bikes all around the island. Liked that it was quiet and relaxing.

It was hard to find a quick place to eat at night, especially if you have a family with hungry kids which we did not. The on site restaurant is only open Friday and Saturday and was booked.

Very family friendly. You could even bring own food in pool area and sit at table. Tennis, biking, heated pool and good breakfast. Good equiped kitchen which is so useful with small children.

Easy booking at this time of year. Prices was right. All convenient amenities such as laundry,daily bed making,nice bar,and excellent and friendly staff.

the ants in room were plentiful, however were exterminated quickly in unit #220. I sliped and fell trying to get off the beach. You need a set of steps down to small beach area. We intended to set on the beach, however there was almost no where to sit due to erosion. A deck close to the beach with steps down to the beach would have been lovely. Guest could then enjoy the gulf and sun on a deck near the small beach. All in All we had an enjoyable time. Please let me know if you install a sun bathing deck near the beach with acess to the beach. I would like to visit with you again. Thank You, Beverly Ann Bump
