The only positive about this hotel is the location
The fact that the heater in the room was not working while it is -15. We were freezing cold the entire night. The fire alarm went off early morning and the staff didn't do anything about it until the cleaner came ( 1 hour later). The toilet was not flushing .. Room dirty etc etc..
the bathroom was bigger than the bed
The Chinatown location and proximity to Little Italy made for lots of dining choices.
My room was at street level and the door was directly opposite the front desk. It was quite noisy and didn't feel secure. The wire to the room's phone had been severed.
Great hotel, very friendly staff and good value for your money. Excellent view of the freedom tower.
The bathroom wasn't great but that was not important to us and didn't detract from the stay.
Close to the Grand st.metro station.
Loud. Rooms had no heat. Blinds, curtains and carpet old.
cheap and on Manhattan island
Bedbugs, unsanitary, flies even in winter. need major renovations
Location near subway Warm water and hot showers ok
Old furniture and decor, very worn out Difficult to keep warm due to cold wind through windows and heater drying out air and very noisy to have on at night.
Beds are comfortable and air conditioning is working well
Phones not working Window curtains are already damaged but was not replaced
Good for price Clean room with safety box And bathroom Friendly staff If u gonna stay for one night it's fine don't expect much good for price
Slow internet Furniture old
Just next to the subway station. Got to times square within 15-20 min (subway). Getting to wall street was quick too (subway). Next to chinatown.
The location might be little unsafe at night. No shampoo provided.
I've stayed at many of the inexpensive hotels in the vicinity of Chinatown. The Windsor is the best value I've found. A little more expensive and a lot nicer! And half a block from a major subway stop.
Liked it all.
Location, price, two beds in the room.
In the bedroom there were: No drinking glasses, NO facial tissues, NO hand towels. NEVER lacked these is any of the hundreds of hotels I have stayed in around the world!!! TV remote control was difficult to operate.
Near metro station, clean room, everyday clean towels, 2 min. from Little Italy, nice temperature.
Small bedroom, bad wi-fi.
It was close to the subway, the staff was nice.
There were a few stains on the bed sheets, which made me check the box spring and there red stains on the sides of it. There was no closet, no ironing board, no remote for the TV. The bathroom looked a bit rundown and the water dials were backwards for heat and cold.
Hotel was at perfect location in Chinatown near Little Italy and Soho, near subway station. Room was clean.
Room was very noisy.
close to subway
very noisy to sleep
Bed bugs -- Oh no!!!
Two steps from Grand St subway station, and at a walking distance to many great places in the Lower East Side, Tribeca, Soho, Little Italy, etc. Great Asian food in the surroundings. The rooms and the bathrooms were big enough. There was a breakfast offer at a next-door restaurant which was nice.
We actually had bed bugs in our first room. We changed room but the bites kept itching during the whole trip... Also, the receptionist turnover was a little surprising as we hardly ever had the same contact person there. The TV's reception in both rooms was pretty bad, and we couldn't open the windows in the second one, which was a little suffocating although the AC worked fine.
I like the low price and proximity to the subway and distance from cool stuff to see.
Some of the staff was rude.
Only the location because it was within ten blocks of my daughter's apartment
See above. BEDBUGS IN THIS HOTEL!!!!
Nearness to China Town; Little Italy and the subway.
Although we had asked for non smoker room. the room was full of smoke odor. It took several hrs for the odor dissipate. Although we were told it was a non smoking room. We also had been told that there will be a refrigerator in the room but, the freezer was completely filled with ice and impossible to be used. We were told there would be a safe for valuables in the room, but there was none. They do not have small wash cloth -only large bath towels which was inconvenient. The curtain was torn and we had to go to the desk for cups. They only offer hot water but no coffee. Disposable cups, wash cloth, morning coffee, safe for valuables at the desk or in the rooms and a clean elevator floor are amenities that any hotel usually has.
very large bed, great location, one-time toothpaste in a heinz-like package (genious)
shower had weak water pressure, bathroom was not 100% clean (though still good enough), a/c kept going on and off
I am not very keen where is based.
