We woke up in the middle of the night to find our bed covered in bed bugs!! The front office offered us a penthouse to keep our mouths shut, which we did not accept. Then the next morning they told us they didn't believe us because the "housekeepers" did not find anything even though we had video and photo proof.
Extremely loud at night. Staff not very helpful.
Staff is very polite and helpful.
Shower walls and a floor need a good scrubbing/cleaning.
Location. Price OK for being New York. Clean rooms
Rooms are small, but that did not bother us since we were out most of the time. Street noise can be a bit annoying.
Staff was pleasant, price was fairly low, close to the subway. Rooms were pretty clean.
As expected for the price, the rooms were rather shabby. The water pressure in the shower was very poor. Worst, the wifi was terrible. Very slow, kept getting booted off about every 10 minutes.
All Services are bad, Staff are rude
The receptionists are helpful when I'm asking about direction, tourist attractions and many more. Wifi connection also excellent, the bathroom and bed also clean and comfort. There's an elevator and they provide hot water in the reception. Near to grand st subway and bus stop. It's located in chinatown it's so easy to find foods, groceries and stores. We can keep our luggages when we check out the hotel and I'd love to stay again there someday
Staff very friendly and helpful. Room appeared clean with excellent towels.
Somewhat out of the way of midtown. The rooms are a little shopworn.
I didn't like the staff at all. I booked the hotel while walking to it. Walked inside and they said they had no rooms asked for my money to be returned he said no. So basically had my money taken and didn't even get to stay. Called the company I booked the hotel through and they called the hotel and said they aren't trying to help at all. Called the next day and said they will. Not return my money. They are basically a bunch of crooks.
The windows opened. The room was very clean and smelled clean - no perfumes, no smoke, no mold. The area got really quiet at night so it was a good place to sleep. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Staff was helpful and friendly.
The room was spacious The hotel was quite easy to get to and central to everything but not right in the centre.it had everything to our convince
The fridge was dirty and telephone was dirty needed a bit more deep clean
The subway was very nearby. The staff were friendly and approachable.
The location is good.
I had a really bad experience in this hotel. Although it wasn't cheap, 220 dollars per night, there are a lot of bad things to say. 1. Dirtyness, dust and crumbles were everywhere. Oh My God what a carpet... They didn't came to clean the room. 2. Lights were broken, also the TV remote, of course. 2. Hotel staff doesn't care at all about their guests. Young people that don't want to ear about any problem. 3. It was absolutely impossible to sleep there. People were shouting and laughing all night long. I asked the desk man to make something but he did nothing. Don't book there. I don't recomend this hotel. Bad experience makes it double expensive. I stayed in a hotel and I think I lose my money.
Location.was close to the subway. Only minutes from Times Sq./Broadway.
No smoking rooms
If all you're looking for is a private room and bathroom without unecessary space, luxuries and amenities, this hotel will suit you well. For Mahattan, the price is fair; any cheaper and I'd be worried. I'm sure to book there again on another weekend downtown.
One of the beds was not comfortable for two people, both ends up in the middle.
3/25/14 5 AM Asked desk clerk to call cab,as I am elderly woman & did not want to walk in neighborhood at that hour. Clerk made call in Chinese, no cab, but instead an unmarked verhicle showed up, probably clerk's cousin, tried to load luggage, I stopped him, asked fare to Penn station, he said $35!! (cab fare is about $15) We took back luggage. Asked clerk again to call cab, he refused! We will NOT be back.
Location and price. Nice staff, pleasant to stay, we only needed a bed to rest for the night so this is good enough.
The bathroom towels were a bit yellow looking, we didn't need a shower so it didn't bother us much, just wanted to mention the towels. Headboard of the bed were scratch or torn apart, but we didn't care about that either.
I love the location and the friendly staff
The freezing cold hallways and hard uncomfortable beds
Location Nice staff Hot water in lobby
Heater took long to warm up the room Sheets were dirty Furnitures were old
Staff is very friendly. Comfortable bathroom, fairly big windows, nice district and friendly people who live there.
Old towels, no shampoofor all residents in the room, and no conditioner, no bed skirts on mattresses which allowed us to see ugly old stained mattresses that were somehow short even for a woman of an average height. Phony discount is offered for residents for a breakfast at a restaurant that is quite far to walk.
* Staff were great , very helpful * location was great near by metro station and 5 min walk to little Italy
Need to improve room service
Room was tired, but clean
Old infrastructure, average level cleanliness of rooms and bathrooms
